SAMUEL DEWITT PROCTOR AT SUNO 1996--The 1996 Graduation address at SUNO was delivered by Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor; Dr. Proctor was one of the key figures throughout the Civil Rights Movement, from the Brown Decision, the March on Washington, with work with the greats like MLK et al; he was the recipient of 50 or more honorary degrees. He discusses the coming of the new millennium with a broad look across history; this is a truly important speech and unfortunately one of the last, as he died almost a year to the day later.
