Also I missed Paul Dempsey at the Manning Bar in Sydney. My older brother got tickets to the show and disregarded to tell me that he had a free one. Even though I physically purchased the album and I leant it to him. Please play another Sydney show?

I think that is what Paul is trying to say, not that our transience makes our thoughts and feelings inherently worthless. Even if you live forever, you still have to figure out what to do with your life. If you are just staying in the one place, then immortality is pointless.
