- Should you enter a "Villain Arc"? Well, it's not as simple as that. Here's what Thorfinn thinks on the matter...

My villain arc mainly began because of constant depression, porn addiction, family problems, death of one of my closet family member and breakup. All of that happened in less than 5 months. I completely broke apart. I just had my grades to brag about, anything except that was hollow. I even raised my hands against my father. I can't owe up to the horrible things I did during these times. But after getting closer to god and watching/reading vindland saga, my life's changed. I know it's stupid but this anime changed the way I look at life. I haven't felt this light ever since I was a kid.
Edit: I just caught up to vinland saga after reading it for more than 3 months. The latest chapter (208) came out just 5 hours ago. I have to say, just saying you want to live in peace isn't what you should wish for, instead you have to keep this in mind that we're humans. It's in our nature to wreck havoc and choose the last option (the one that thorfinn warns us about). We have to accept that about ourselves and move on. Not everything will go according to your plan, sometimes you have to others and get hurt yourself too. Keep your calm and always try to choose the 1st resort.

I don't really entered a villain arc. Right now I'm just in a I don't care since the future holds nothing good anyways arc.
I do kinda have a video on this, but yeah I've been there plenty of times. Only really recently I got over it and it does sometimes come back, but this has been the first year where I can say it's really gotten better

9:09"Doing something great for your future self" is a really good thing to think about, I'm currently upset about a few things of the past and really it doesn't seem like it's doing any good for me. I'm just wasting time when I could be focusing on my studies for example.

I just wanted to add that writing out what happened and how you feel about difficult things can definitely help you move past it (as long as you keep it private and not make a habit of constantly re-living it). The "what the fuck am I doing?" is a great moment because you know there's no looking back now.

Its such a hard thing to more on from. I was abused for yrs and had to be around said person.i found my telent in musical instruments. But the true feelings stayed. Until my last year of HS 2010 it was 3 yrs after my last abuse. I didnt feel better,no amt of heroin could fix it. Only until 2015,when i grew past it,and realized shoving it down isnt the best way.but bring it up,working on it the only way. 20yrs later and i feel for yhe victor whos abused me. I have to live with being and ahused but he has to live with NEING THE ABUSER. I forgive,i feel so bad for him..i fixed myself because intalked about it

Amazing video! I myself am trying my best to just leave the issues and drama to the side, which is very hard in a world like today's. I just feel like people need to find a deeper meaning and self love starting from within, rather than outputting those negative emotions onto others. Especially in cases where it affects people completely unrelated to the situations causing people unease.

@Lessons From Anime thanks for uploading videos in this channel its good. Also the thing about your ex, well i don't know the full story and usually its best to listen to both side before making a judgement but i'll just follow along with the information you give. Assuming it's all true.
What i type you might be able to see it, but maybe some parts you might miss it too. If your ex break up and one week later is in a relationship, i don't believe she ended the relationship with you and within a week meet someone new and get together so fast, as comments like "We knew months ago" show its happening behind your back for some time. Here is the main part I am going to type and it might trigger certain emotions when if you read it under a wrong time and its easy to understand it wrongly but its important anyway. Look I believe that girl is not suitable to be a girlfriend or life partner as what she did is cheating and its better for her to leave you now and its going to hurt like hell, than for you guys get married and divorce later that might really screw up your life for good. This part might sounds weird that guy that steal your ex you can even be thankful to him, as he take one big bomb away from your life. As i would never date a girl who is still in a relationship currently and yet looking for a new one that is the biggest red flag.
All the best for 2024 tough experience happen to all of us but what we do next is most important which can led us to a bright future or hell.

I just discovered your channel and really love it I think you might find evangelion interesting. It’s the only anime I prefer to Vinland saga because of the way it portrays loneliness and depression. It’s not quite as uplifting as Vinland saga and if you haven’t experienced the emotions it’s trying to get across you probably won’t understand anything, but if by some chance you resonate with it, I really don’t think you’ll find anything like it.
Fair warning it’s basically just a fun mecha show for the first 14ish episodes, still entertaining it’s just not on the same level as the second half
i think Vinland Saga season 2 came at the right time in my life. i was really down and alot of things where happaning. Failed relationship,Failed education and failde son. i was at a point where i couldnt even envision the future for myself.Dreams? those thoughts escaped my mind. i wouldn't say its the one that took me out of that dark path but its the one that started a change in me. i related with thorfinn so much and im grateful for all the friends and family who managed to put up with me . I'm at a better place now,broke but im working on that😅😂😂. i exercise semi regualarly and my education status is finally improving. little by little things are coming in to place(with their on challanges of course) but im embracing the journey instead of avoiding it.

I had a villain arc where I was just like fuck evb but that was years ago now I'm just tryna become the man I know I can be
To be honest, the scene of 100 punches where it is preached that his past was a waste and he has no enemy is the trashiest cornball scene I have seen in any anime. Any ordinary man can't stand 100 full blown punches. But thorfinn did and biggest question is "HOW?". The answer is the knowledge base he had from his supposedly "villian" arc days. The skills and knowledge he acquired during those years helped him to take those punches.A thorfinn that didn't went through his villian arc would have been done on the first punch. Never betray your past self because you build a better self and stand tall from all the experiences of your life.

My two cents on this topic would be to not just think about yourself and think about the people you can help. Of course, you will most likely not feel like trusting someone at this time. I've left people on hang when they were going through a rough time because I was going through an equally rough patch. Since then, I've made it a goal to think of ways in which I can share a part of this net with benefit others too.
Think about it in Thorfinn's pov too: He started leaving the past behind when he learned to farm, to feed and enrich others and also buy freedom from his mental scars. He "fought" to help save Gardar, and when Arnheid died, he was moved to save what was left of his friends, only in that action of thinking more than one's own self improvement did he break free.

Villain arcs sound stupid
Give your life to Christ. The all loving God who created everyone of us gave his only son Jesus Christ to give us the gift of eternal life with god in heaven. Try to build a realtionship with God, read the bible every day to gain wisdom trough Gods word and try to deny your flesh( your wicked ways aka your desire to sin) its gonna be hard but God gave us the freedom FROM sin not TO sin trough Christ. And remember , Jesus Christ loves you✝️🙏
