Thank you bro! They are around it’s just a matter of time. I think more are gonna get caught when tog season opens, when everyone is using crabs and stuff.
That's the Honey Hole that keeps on giving caught some huge porgies there myself...you had a special day with two sheepshead I'm still hoping to catch one there 😂
Thank you brother! Those shoes are the Frogg Toggs Aransas II surf and sand wading boots. If you fish in the Jamaica Bay Area I’ll see you out there this coming season.
Amazing, i was losing hope on the bay but this vid gives me hope. Usually go pass the round house but i think im gonna save that fuel next time and just drift this area.
The fluke that I’ve been finding inside the bay and during these summer months are sitting at about 25 feet of water on average. Thank you for watching man!
Really!? I had no idea L.I has sheep head. I'm kinda curious why they never make their way to the sound. The north shore is loaded with reefs and an abundance of crustaceans, barnacles n buvalves. Any way excellent video. Tight lines!
The waters around NYC must be getting cleaner. I've never seen 1 Sheepshead, let alone 2 of them in or around Brooklyn. Even though that's where the Brooklyn neighborhood Sheepshead bay got its name from because of the abundance of that fish from Colonial times.
Great to see these fish around and awesome catches congrats
Thank you brother and thank you for watching!
Nice fish long island retired in Florida
Awesome catch! Looks like they’re coming back. Sheep’s head. Great advice bout checking the line after a big catch.

Thank you bro! They are around it’s just a matter of time. I think more are gonna get caught when tog season opens, when everyone is using crabs and stuff.

That's the Honey Hole that keeps on giving caught some huge porgies there myself...you had a special day with two sheepshead I'm still hoping to catch one there 😂
Thanks bro!. Way too many porgies right now, the bait gets taken right away. The sheepshead probably don’t get a chance lol.
Great video. Keep them coming bro. What kinda shoes are those? Need something for this coming season. Just got a new kayak.
Thank you brother! Those shoes are the Frogg Toggs Aransas II surf and sand wading boots. If you fish in the Jamaica Bay Area I’ll see you out there this coming season.
Great video brother..
Thank you brother!
Great content! Any sheepshead toward LI?
That’s a good question. I would like to check Hempstead bay, reynolds channel. There is tons of structure there, bridges, old wood pilings, etc.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank for watching!
Amazing, i was losing hope on the bay but this vid gives me hope. Usually go pass the round house but i think im gonna save that fuel next time and just drift this area.
Thank you for watching bro! Yeah this area is on fire right now with porgies and I’m sure some sheepshead as well. Fall run is going to be amazing!.
Congratulations on your 1k
Thank you my friend!.
Wow😮, nice video, are those sheepshead with crab or sand flees?
Thank you! I was using crabs at that moment I caught the sheepshead.
Heyy amazing vid. I have a kayak wanna start too. Where is this ?
Thanks man! This is the jamaica Bay Area and it’s porgy time right now.
Great vid! What’s the info on your kayak? Looking to purchase one myself
Hobie outback 2020 papaya color. A lot of people are switching to the old towns so check those out too.
@@NYCE_Fishing appreciate it. Thanks!
Great video! What depth do you find the most success with fluke?
The fluke that I’ve been finding inside the bay and during these summer months are sitting at about 25 feet of water on average. Thank you for watching man!
What state are you in that your getting porgies mixed in with sheep head?
Thank for watching! NY
Really!? I had no idea L.I has sheep head. I'm kinda curious why they never make their way to the sound. The north shore is loaded with reefs and an abundance of crustaceans, barnacles n buvalves. Any way excellent video. Tight lines!
Great video! Do you think sheepshead are making some type of comeback locally? It would be nice if they're around...
I really think so. Waters in the south are getting to hot and I think we are right on that sweet spot right now. Thank you for watching bro!
What rod is that that you are usinig?
That’s a Fenwick HMG spinning rod M/H extra fast. Thank you for watching!
The waters around NYC must be getting cleaner. I've never seen 1 Sheepshead, let alone 2 of them in or around Brooklyn. Even though that's where the Brooklyn neighborhood Sheepshead bay got its name from because of the abundance of that fish from Colonial times.
They’ve been working their way back for a few years now. I hope it remains a regular catch here in NYC. Thank you for watching!.
Good video. Just subscribed to your channel good luck
Thank you bro! It is appreciate it.
I do believe sheepshead are a type of porgy...they are quite similar in appearance and habits.
They are related to the scup/porgy. Your comment made google it so that’s where I got it from.
So i just moved to NY from FL, im in the hudon valley area but would love to hit some sheeps over here. Where is this bridge if i may ask ?
Jamaica Bay Queens/Brooklyn. You won’t find the same numbers they get in the southern states that’s for sure.
The fluke is fighting you real good
Yeah! That fluke was chunky.
Muy buen video con buenas captura saludos y bendiciones 🙏
Gracias!
That was a Fluke
This fish just started to be in Ny, and u not let it reproduce 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Don't be jealoussssss 😂
Just started? It's right outside of Sheepshead Bay, where do you think they got the name from
As I see the kayak, no thanks.
I have a 28 foot Bayliner in Mill basin I fish these same waters and let me tell you I wish I had a kayak sometimes.
