If only there was a company in the U.S. that could make something similar to this on the same level. I love the external and internal design. The whole place looks like art to me.
I wish it was an A-frame with lots of stained wood but I love everything else about this concept because I love a house that is independent from the land. No need for $25,000 sewer system. I adore being totally off grid, this is just fabulous.
Kerry I didn’t know you were a modern man!!! That makes me so happy to hear. I would love if they have three options for fabric colors and cabinets but the floating bed is a winner.
The more expensive models include built in electric and water. What I wonder is how the water system gets refreshed. If you've dropped your home in some off-grid location and have an internal water system, how do you service the septic tank/ black water tank? How do you fill the fresh water tank? Any guidance on that would be appreciated.
What a fantastic concept! Thanks for sharing this! The house is really cool looking, but the thought and technology behind it is even better. It's a great model for how we can live more harmoniously with the planet in the future. I'd love to hear more about its technology and materials.
Love the place, especially framing. Two issues however, although open floor plans are supposed to no longer be trending, I still prefer open with flow from kitchen to living area and dinning if included. Secondly, based on plan kitchen's too small. As a fan of cooking, last thing I would like is to be stuck in a small box. I still love everything else, like Carry, I'm a modern person.
Have you heard of S2A, based in Patterson CA with two more factories planned in SoCal and SW Florida? They emphasize solar and efficiency. Like most technology, I wonder how soon it would be outdated.
Does this mean it’s not available in the US? How would you get water in the water tank? And what type of maintenance is required for the built in sewer system?
Kerry, if you get a chance, I highly recommend you check out the VIPP Shelter. That's right, a pre-fab home built by the fancy trash can company. The VIPP Shelter, like iOHouse, is built in Sweden. The VIPP Shelter is the most beautiful prefab home I've ever seen and it even has a wood burning fireplace. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive. The last time I checked, it was $1 million. Yikes!
Very cool. But I wonder how you are going to refill and empty those 2000 liter water tanks and sewer tanks. Do we still have water delivery trucks in all states?
I would like to get some information on the case of off-grid models about how the sewage system is solved (most important), drinking/consumption water supply, off-grid energy/heating, and the internet, also what U-value of walls/floor/roof and windows they have. What options are on the market for each component? Design is good and important but if it does not have functionality then it is not really an off-grid solution and just a shiny box in the forest with a compost toilet and candlelight with a shower in the rain or a bath in the lake, not that it is anything wrong with that.
@@KerryTarnow Very interested to see "The Fox" although I would expect that to be around $150K which is still twice what I want to spend. Still anxious to see it.
Nice concept. Looks nice. Too bad they’re in Sweden. Again, you’re educating me to possibilities. I had no idea you preferred modern. As always, thank you
I have too many nice models, but none available for immediate delivery, I have several building lots 0.3 Acre and more zoned R1 that I am looking to buy several units to use in my Short Term Rental. Boxable is a long waiting list, and so is others. Any recommendation?
Rich nature people will love having this... me I would love having this.... I can take it to my job locations pending which one I get... I may just leave it in place if its the SPACE one... Nice. It meets sq ft to be considered a home in many states but in some states you will have to attach it to a foundation to get it permitted. I am not sure if that is the all for the US and if US inspections are done if you live in the US. I would want this but not sure if it can be brought to the US under our stupid regulations that may negate it... Also shipping it here would cost a lot of money. Unless they move their company or make some sub companies in the states.
Think the concept is phenomenal… But if you’re presenting architecture or interior design the last thing I want to see is the face of the presenter only… I’d prefer that you speak while you show images on the screen only not just once in a while. Forgive me for being critical Dash but this is a professional suggestion. Looking at your face talking is distracting it does not provide the information you can do once you show the video of the aisle house itself. It has been said many times before - a picture is worth 1000 words. Use it
That’s kind of weird for a floor plan. It’s seems wasteful to have a hallway to the bathroom. Why not move bathroom over and have a better kitchen layout? But I have found euro designs have strange kitchen plans. Interesting home, though! Thanks for sharing!
Fully self contained, off grid manufactured home. Now we are getting somewhere. I suspect we will see more like this in our future. Hope so. Thanks again.
WHOA, THATS A LOT OF MONEY !! ELON MUSK IS COMING OUT WITH $15000. PREFAB HOMES. I GUESS ADDING OFF GRID STUFF TO 3 OF HIS WOULD STILL BE WAAAAAY LESS !! ILL WAIT. ALSO WHO WANTS A KITCHEN THAT YOU CANT COOK IN !!
You know, it would be nice when you’re telling us about all this, if you were showing us the property and the house itself instead of just you talking.😂

How does their sewage system work
@@funnyvideos24328 I live in the country off grid. I am assuming it is like any other system
A septic tank and for water a private well.
A frame with these materials??
Thank you Kerry for all this wonderful info!! One small suggestion. Show the house longer in the picture as you talk. Once again, Thank YOU!
Whether I like the home you’re presenting or not, it’s always worth watching your videos due to your unique sense of humor :). Thanks!

really only two choices...you either have to build a well or pay to have water delivered.
Thanks for providing great videos and keep up the great work. I’m constantly searching for unique modular opportunities and you always deliver.

It's a reasonable price including all the furnitures and they're all matched with the color of the house.

How do you get water?...off the roof I'm assuming? And how is the grey and black water handled?
Wonder how well this would hold up in the heat of CA or AZ desert.

It's an amazing home, I love it
Me too, very cool
Different laws still have to
be addressed according
to which state you live and do permits have to be

How many times a year are you emptying that 3000L specific tank if one person is living there?
