  • Chocolate avocado pudding is a decadent, creamy, healthy dessert made with avocados and raw cacao powder. It’s also dairy-free, vegan, low-carb and paleo. Even better? It's incredibly easy to make! I’ve sprinkled this recipe with hazelnuts and sea salt, but the toppings are endless. Enjoy!

    Hi guys! Last week's dessert recipe was a little more involved (but worth the effort) and this week's recipe couldn't be easier. Just toss everything into a food processor and you've got a delicious dessert in less than 5 minutes! It's healthy, chocolately and oh so yummy. What are you gonna top on your pudding? Enjoy! - xo, Lisa

      I tried it yesterday as I am trying to eat healthy but I was craving for chocolate... I used raw coconut sugar instead, as without any sweet is quite bitter. It makes a difference with strawberries on the top. Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe!!

    Husband isn’t keen on avocados, made them today and didn’t tell him. Half way through his cup I asked him to rate it out of 5. He gave it 5/5. Children liked it but found it too rich and didn’t finish it, it’s in the fridge for tomorrow. When husband was almost finishing his second helpings, I finally told him the ingredients. He looked at the mousse, thought for a bit and admitted it ‘wasn’t bad’ hahaha!!! I confirm that Lisa is right when she says you can’t taste the 🥑 ❤️❤️

    Just thought I would let you know, I have just done the avocado choc pudding, and it worked really well.

    I just found Downshiftology and Love Love Love it. It is a just what I have been looking for. You make these recipes so simple without a lot of crazy ingredients that I have never heard of. I have been watching a lot of your videos and even made one of your recipes this morning. The Pumpkin Pancakes that were delicious by the way. I will definitely be making more. For some of them you use a food processor like this one but I don't have a food processor so I was wondering if I can use my Vitamix for these recipes? As I was reading the comments I see others have asked the same question and you answered. So now I will ask you as a Vitamix owner do you think it would be a good investment for me to purchase a food processor?

    • @Downshiftology
      @Downshiftology  5 років тому +1

      I have a mini food processor for small things and it's great for sticky things like protein balls. There are definitely some items better in a food processor and others better in a blender. I think both are worthwhile, but I do use my Vitamix more. :)

      @pia regan probably bananas. they are very similar in texture, but you would have the flavor of banana & chocolate in your pudding. (which sounds good to me but that depends if you like bananas or not) & i would still have the bananas in the fridge over night like she did the avocado. if you decide to try it let me now if it worked out. have a great day & God Bless!

      Cocoa powder has added sugar, while cacao powder is pure ground cacao bean. If you use cocoa powder, you can probably skip the maple syrup

      Sometimes it works (sometimes it doesn't) - it depends on the size and shape of your food processor. But you might as well try. :)
