I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Me too my little brother actually asked me which products he needs bcs he wanted to start a skincare routine since he started noticing his skin is dehydrated as fuck.
@@leahalcantara5949 yeah I fixed up his cleanser (gave him the cerave foaming one) and a hyaluronic acid toner. He doesn't like the feeling of moisturizer on his skin so even if I got him a moisturizer, he just wouldn't use it 😂. This also extends to sunscreens as most sunscreens, no matter how lightweight it is, still has a texture similar to moisturizers. In my country, I think most men don't have a dedicated skincare routine for this reason. They just can't stand the feeling of products on their faces lol. We live in a hot and very humid climate tho so it's not that bad if you don't use a moisturizer but it can be bad if you don't use sunscreen so I'm trying to find my brother (and also my dad) one that he would actually use.
@@leahalcantara5949 yeah he used a teeny tiny amount of my cerave lightweight lotion and he already didn't like it lol. Maybe it's because of the climate? We live in a tropical climate and it's really hot and humid so I can understand why people here hate moisturizers. I've been doing some research and it seems like gels/gel creams is more suitable for people like my brother who hates the feeling of lotions. I'm buying him the iunik centella gel cream and if he doesn't like it, well I guess that means more skincare products for me lol.
My dad finally let me get him a skincare routine and now his skin is absolutely GLOWING and RADIANT. We go skincare shopping together and I answer all his product questions. If my dad at the age of 50 can start taking care of his skin you can too!
@@KT-qx1tk bro look water doesnt do anything. im a man. trust me when i dont like being feminine at all. The only true cause of acne is hormonzes and genetics. guys that just use water may not have acne but they wont have glowing skin...they also will have alot of dirty dead skin on their body. When u wash your body, why do u you use body wash instead of just water? because the body wash cleanses your skin. and then putting lotion after u shower gets the skin better too. the face is just more complex and sensitive. but if u just a normal guy like me with barely any acne just once in a while u get a bit. just cleanser and moisterizer morning and night. i just use cerva cleanser and natural aloe vera extract from my plant outside

I'm 28 years old, I have been having acne since I'm 16. You have no idea the amount of stress I've gone through, my family doesnt care about skin care or have never needed to do it so I grew up clueless about it. I've never had a skincare routine. I just stumbled on your video today, I'm going to the shop to buy your recommended products. I feel excited. I feel this might be the start of a change of my facial acne and breakouts. I have long-term scars already unfortunately, but I'm ready to make a change. Thank you for this video, I've subscribed and looking forward to browse your channel to see how you apply these different products (I have no idea how to apply them).

Im on accutane since 1 month and a half now and haven’t had a breakout for this long the first time in my life !
Yeah, these skin care routines won’t help with acne, I find these videos misleading as they just make people spend money on things that won’t help. Acne which is deep set needs medication to clear it up, and importantly both during and after always very clean towels (literally every time you dry your face, you need a clean towel) and sheets (especially pillowcases) changed several times per week. Without the clean towels and pillows/sheets, the bacteria comes back and you get infected again.
Hyram: "Try using a water cream!" Me: ah, I bet he's gonna recommend Rovectin Clean cuz the pink on the Coconut Water Cream would freak out the dudebros 🤣
Also, the Coconut Water Cream is twice as expensive that's also gonna freak out the the dudes who are likely starting their skincare routine from nothing

here bc my boyfriend is constantly in awe when I’m doing my skincare routine and he said he wants to have a routine too but he literally has perfect skin (and uses those 3 in one washes😭😭)
Same, my bf sleeps with his face smushed on pillow cases that are weeks old and and gets no acne meanwhile I have all the hormonal acne in the world and try everything to get rid of it but they’re still there 😭
I think it is because of make up. I live in a third world country and wearing make up is not common and here our skin is pretty normal. I use body wash for face wash and I don't follow any skin care routine, I want to tho.
I’ve been following your suggestions on products and my skin looks the best it’s ever looked. And!!! My husband has been more interested in skin care because he sees how much a SIMPLE routine can help!
He discussed point wise but I don't know at what intervals each product should be applied..... Like what I have to put layer by layer of everything at once or wait like for it to get absorbed or something... If you know please tell
❤ thank you for this. My husband and I are in our 30s my husband has sensitive redhead skin. I'm getting him a skin care set for his Christmas stocking. I'm really new to skin care myself. I've been genetically blessed, I'm 35, and i'm only just noticing fine lines. I know i'm bad because I should have been caring for my skin long before now, but i'm just a grubby farm gal, I've honestly never thought of it till now. But now I need an education, and this video has been great start!
My bf has been mildly interested in skincare because he watches me do mine religiously every night but he has super dry skin, blackheads, and HUMUNGO pores so I’m sending this to him rn lol
Great job again. I am a 42 year old straight guy and just started taking care of my skin a few years ago.....the way people look at me now is totally different. no one thinks I'm over 35 and for someone who worked hard, played harder, and never took care of himself...I'm happy. I'm new to your channel but I am straight up binge watching your videos bro! Keep 'em up!
I'm an adult male and I was delighted to see this as long time viewer of your channel! Most skincare education is targeted towards women (even tho it's all unisex) but it's just nice to hear these things from another man! Thanks dawg. 🤘
As a guy, when I saw the title I was so confused... I was like “is that any different?” But I just realized you titled it like that so that actual men would click on this video xD I don’t get why taking care of yourself is considered feminine 💀
Yall this isn’t “for men”... It’s a simple skincare routine for everyone but Hyram titled it like that just so actual men would click on the video... Skincare for Men and Women isn’t any different I can’t believe people don’t get it lol
well his recommendations were definitely targeted more for oily skin which men usually have, he explains this in the intro. you’re right though this video isn’t inclusive to men only, it can be for women too.
Guy here, and I’m really loving how Hyram shows no racial or gender discrimination on his channel. He really means it when he says “Skin Care is for EVERYONE!” Keep it up Hyram 😇
Hey Hyram as a guy myself I appreciate your help a lot. Since watching you my skin has definitely improved, but I've always wondered what it's like for guys with beards? What beard wash or beard oil would you recommend? When should I apply it in my skincare routine in what order? Thanks for the help :)
I can highly recommend the Foreo Luna 2 or 3. I apply my face wash from Krave Beauty on my face with circular motions for a while, after that I turn on the Foreo Luna and use the instructions that come with the product description and it's been working for me for a few years since I started letting my beard grow. Hope that helps :)
@@niccocraft5nb Obviously, but it's good to see him giving some "special" content for us. Though actually, men tend to have a "thicker" skin, while women tend to a have a "softer" skin, which requires a more delicate routine. This is kind of video I've been needing for a while. Thank you for making a video for men and breaking it down so simply. It's way too easy to get confused with so many products. My girlfriend has been pushing me to look into skin care seriously and here I am. Thank you!

As a straight guy I use skin care religiously I consider it as important as brushing my teeth my daily routine includes double cleansing a exfoliater followed by a toner and then moisturising as well as sometimes a mask. Overall it maybe takes me 5 minutes a day which I think is well worth it

This was so much more helpful than going to the dermatologist. All they did was give me a prescription for some pills and a strong cream. My body and skin had a terrible response to it. And their medication caused my skin to dry out a lot, they didn't even tell me anything about moisturizing my face ( I work outside 8 hours a day, so that was probably an important thing for a dermatologist to mention)

YAAASS THANK U gonna send this to babe♥️ I'm kinda mad tho, he uses the same thing for his entire body, doesn't care about skincare and STILL HAVE A BETTER SKIN THAN ME when I do have a routine... Whyyyyy
I started my fiancé with a cleanser, and moisturizer/sunscreen duo. Then got him to start using a retinol. Now he just told me he loves how his skin has been looking and wants another product for his routine 😂 I honestly do t know what else to give him besides a chemical exfoliant😂 I created a skincare junkie!
lol, that's awesome. if he's happy with his skin he probably doesn't need anything else, retinol covers pretty much all skincare needs. It's waaay too easy to over-exfoliate and cause breakouts and irritation, best to just keep it simple.
I would appreciate a video discussing aftershave (cream, balm, whatever). Not just a review of certain products, but also how it figures into your daily routine. Or it doesn't? Anyways, I think that would be a video that men would like to hear about.
As a straight dude that used to set fires and cut down trees for a living and do all that ultra manly shit. Working out in the sun, sweating my ass off and being dirty af. Thank you broskie
As a gym rat, type of guy. Who is almost mid 40s and not a single wrinkle yet. I take care of my skin because I have had skin issues since 15. I'm always experimenting with ways to adjust, adapt and such. I really appreciate your videos. They are really quite insightful. Very much appreciated.

Thank you for saving me lol. My entire life I’ve just rubbed some body wash or 3-in-1 substance on my face and called it a day and was so annoyed why I was always breaking out and had horrible acne. I thought getting an acne wash and fixing my diet/washing my sheets more often would fix it (which it did help a lot) but upon hearing about an actual cleanser and exfoliate instead of some generic acne wash plus moisturizing and sunscreen I’m really excited to see the results as the simple changes before helped a lot! I was always raised to kind of just deal with whatever your skin was like growing up. My dad never uses chapstick or skin care, he said he let the sun dry out his acne when he was younger (NEVER WORE SUNSCREEN lol) and same with my brother but he also popped his pimples instead of getting a skin care routine so now he has scars on his face in his late 20’s! I’m doing my job as the youngest and learning from them (and you) to actually take care of my skin and show it’s not for girls and it’s important for guys to take care of it too. It’s normal for guys to work out and take care of their bodies but only girls can take care of their skin, hair, nails, etc it’s ridiculous. Again thanks a lot!
Any tips for men with beards? A lot of men in my fam have beards and the skin in that area gets itchy/dry sometimes but they don't like moisturiser (makes their beard feel gross). Is there an oil or serum anyone could recommend?
He titled the video that way men would click on it, though the tips in this video are for everyone in any gender. He is not dumbing it down, he is saying the basics of skincare for people who are just starting out. :)
I have been meaning to start an actual skincare routine for a while, but have put it off for so long because the thought of trying to figure out what products would be best is so daunting. This video made it really straightforward and I finally purchased that skin perfecting 2% bha, which I had heard so many great things about before watching the video. So, thanks so much for this video. :)
Thank you Hyram! @@joy4084 screw that toxic masculinity, there’s just so much to look at and have to know how and when to use. 🥴
I’m a straight male and this just cracked me up XDD. Underrated and true comment(I actually do skin care tho cuz it’s so important)
I've been trying to help out my little brother, the only thing he uses is the cerave cleanser I use. This helped thanks Hyram :)
Me too my little brother actually asked me which products he needs bcs he wanted to start a skincare routine since he started noticing his skin is dehydrated as fuck.
@@ItsAlicein ohhh maybe he should check out moisturizers or fix up his cleanser if its not targeted to his type of skin so basically, more hyram
@@ItsAlicein lol!!! Did he try using a little bit of moisturizer tho? Too much feels weird and makes u look too greasy so XD
You’d be better off just washing your face with water twice a day then putting all those chemicals on your skin

Could you do a video that is somewhat similar to this but like... reviewing companies that do skincare catered to men to see if their products are effective or not? Companies like Lumin and stuff cause I'm curious if their stuff is actually good or if it's trash
Ohh id like to see that 👀 they do tend to have very strong scents which are really bad, hyram will rage
I believe Lumin is trash because they put denatured alcohol in their cleansers
generally they are trash companies put too much alcohol and shit load of fragrance to make them feel more "manly"
