- Hello UA-cam! To mark the start of 2024 and a rather belated 60th anniversary, here's a brand new updated version of "The First Question". This video has easily become my most popular and remains close to my heart, especially with this latest edit. The First Question (to me anyway) is far more than a referenced plot point, it's the beating heart of the show and the reason we've been coming back for more even after 60 years. This video is a culmination of the Doctor as a character, first and foremost, the journey, intrigue, heartbreak and so much more. I hope you all enjoy this tribute, it's been the most incredible journey and truly, a rather 'great spirited adventure' don't you think?

The original was my fav video as a kid. I'd watch it every bus ride home after school. Such nostalgia seeing it made again now and even better. Amazing work

You have no many idea how many times I've watched the original video (s) over and over again, as a kid, a teen, and now as an adult. I am so beyond happy to see that you've made an updated one for the 60th! these videos truly are some of the greatest Doctor Who fan videos of all time. You should be very very proud of your work! Its so hype seeing all of the new editions, seeing Jodie and Ncuti become part of the history and thank you for giving Kate her own spot!

I, too, have been here as a teen since the original video (s). Now in my mid 20's, and lookie here, quite a treat and very well done update. This guy's still got it.
I paused watching another, very specific program to come watch this. Because it occurred to me that in celebration of Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary this should have been shown where it belongs. Right smack in the middle of last nights Emmy Awards. Great job!
This will always be the definitive Doctor Who video. It encapsulates everything about this beautiful show. The highs, the lows, the wonders and horrors. Just fantastic

Lovely to see Kate and River alongside the Brig in this new edit. I always used to play this clip if someone asked me to sum up why I love the silly phone box show. It just keeps evolving and getting better as the years go on, just like the show. Good work :)

One of the few trailers that ever managed to move me emotionally a decade ago, wonderful to see it updated, I had hoped it would happen and I wasn't disappointed.
It's so cool, and a little surreal, getting to see and hear 12-15, John Hurt, David Bradley, and Jo Martin in this video. I remember watching the older version so many times when I was in high school. I'm now, nearly 6 years removed from graduating college. Pretty neat to think about.

This First Question video will always be extended. And I really hope it does continue to do so till the end of time and space when new footage and doctors are revealed.

I had made my own fan extended version of this back in 2019 when I thought there'd never be a new one, I'm very glad to be proven wrong. It's much better than mine was.
Another great job! The whole 5:00 to 8:00 was wonderfully done, and the updates to the companion and regeneration sections afterwards was spot on.
I love seeing the different edits and additions being added throughout the years. The original video was one of the first videos I saw as I really got into Doctor Who. Stellar work as always!!

What a trip! I've come back to the earlier version a LOT over the past decade, often using it as an introduction for newbies to the show. I love seeing it updated and even more brilliant than before :) as always, great music choices and dramatic timing. Great work!

I speak as someone working in the trailer industry and your edits are of such high quality, I feel you could easily find work in the trailer business yourself.

Great update, and appreciate the one lone pic of the Fugitive Doctor, who I believe is still to be proven as one of the incarnations, hence my appreciation of barely showing her. Even though we are three Doctors past that storyline, the First Question remains the best story arch in the show. Especially because it is meta-connected to the name of the show itself, so it's fitting that the definitive Doctor Who video keeps being names as such.

This was a huge improvement but both this and the original was great
The original, and it's slightly longer remix, are wonderful. This is even better. A great rework - I love that you have some 'War Doctor' dialogue in there too. The only thing that slightly spoils it for me, at least, is that unsightly Disney scribble at the end.

It's kinda strange how much i made this, Your version, a role model for myself. Its just a tv show. But feel it and you can construct the actual Doctor out of the breadcrumbs. You want to scream: just this once, everybody lives. And them a love one dies and there is just one word in your head: Tear? There is some horribly event in your life and you, beaten and old utter through your dry dying lips: Did you say anything about rules? As you rise. And you know you must be childish for the rest of the life to compensate for everyone else who still don't believe you can't really punch through diamond wall.

Everything the classic doctors went through was never justified enough in my opinion. The recent specials did it some justice...but 1-7 really did so much and never really stopped.

Fantastic, been waiting for this update. Seen some really poor fanmade version for 2019, this is what I've really been waiting for. Did you really have to put the Disney Plus logo at the end, kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.
