Very cool to see some love for sunbreak lance, I picked it up recently after making myself an adrenaline rush lance build and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. Also an amazing run as usual, and I’m always happy to see more uploads.

Yeah I would've preferred it that way too but unfortunately I did this run on stream with some music from my playlist playing in the background because I wasn't expecting to get the run so early 😅
Canta is back from the dead. Hopefully something amazing (Amatsu? Gogmazios?) will come with the next title updates to get you hooked back to Sunbreak. Nice to see Lance being again an elemental weapon (hope the 0.7 multiplier got shafted). Probably the only weapon which should have kept its clutch claw attack (without the tenderizing stuff, screw that mechanic).
Oh I still play plenty of Sunbreak, usually on twitch, I just dont do speedruns very often anymore since I enjoy it more on a casual level (also augment farming is kinda grindy so it takes a while to max out your gear compared to previous games).
@@CantaPerMe No Pb. I can imagine speedrunning non-stop being tiresome, especially if lot of RNG to get optimal equipment/augment. From what I have heard, RNG is crazy in Sunbreak to augment stuff, more than in Iceborne. I personally prefer Guiding Lands and Investigations to MH4U Guild Quests or Sunbreak endgame. Have a good rest.

This skyward thrust playstyle is amazing ps: Does anyone know if its worth to use leaping thrust loop if you're not elemental build? I copied this from the runs I watch but im running raw lance?
When a monster is down my damage loop with raw lance is usually leaping thrust -> charge slap and repeat that, sometimes mixing in guard dash on the head if it's closr to a KO or use skyward thrust depending on the monster. Leaping thrust loop is generally reliable damage for all lance builds though.
I recently started to play MHW and your video is the first time that i see high level gameplay from MHRise and i have to say that i'm glad i bought World. Cartoony style, with over the top anime kind of action... riding and steering a dragon? Just why? xD idk what it is but just looking at this game i can already tell that i'm not the target audience. Man i really fear that WIlds will go the Rise Sunbreak route :(

Besides clear times aren't the only thing to determine the viability of a weapon lol, Lance SHOULD have the slowest clear time in the entire game, it wouldn't be balanced otherwise. With perfect guard u can just negate any attack in the entire with little to no recovery. Sunbreak Lance is in a good place.

Great Fashion, I recognize the Chaotic gore helmet and probably purple mizu arms but what are the other pieces?
arm piece is from violet mizu and the rest is from an event quest (Zinogre + Mizu iirc)
