I’m super excited to share with you all the incredible experience I had being invited to the Governor House KPK, Pakistan! 🙌🏽 I was honored to be recognized for the work I’m doing across social media platforms like UA-cam, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. It was such a memorable event organized by Nexus by Maxum, and I had the chance to connect with some amazing people!
The event was hosted by the fabulous Shiffa Yousafzai and featured some incredible guests including Saad Hashmani, Tanweer Ahmed, Uzair Hasan, Samar Khan, and the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi. 🌟 They all shared their inspiring stories of struggle and success, which was truly motivational!
It’s refreshing to see that our digital content creation is being appreciated because, let’s be honest, TV is becoming a thing of the past and social media is where it’s at for news and positive impacts. However, there’s a contradiction that needs addressing-while we’re labeled as bloggers, influencers, and content creators, we often aren’t compensated fairly. It’s not just about payment; it’s about respecting the value of our work. 💪🏽
Saad Hashmani made a great point about not focusing solely on followers and views, yet ironically, many are judged based on these metrics. Tanweer Ahmed, who generously donated $9 million to NUST, received the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. While his contribution is commendable, I believe more focus should be on supporting government schools and universities that are in dire need. Capitalism can be a force for good, but it needs to be directed thoughtfully. 💡
I also took the opportunity to ask the Governor about the lack of airports in the northern regions of KPK, which often leads to travel disruptions during floods. While he mentioned the challenges posed by the mountainous terrain, I believe that with determination and innovation, we can overcome these obstacles and improve tourism infrastructure.
