Clarity for folks, the truck being shown is modified top to bottom. Under the hood, the Banks Performance mods are several thousand dollars themselves. Same for the roof rack and even more on the front bumper and lighting in it. Then there's the suspension. This truck is in the real price range of $130K.

I have the exact truck and color minus the lift, I average 15-16mpg city and 18-20mpg hwy. Bone stock with no engine mods, love the truck but I don’t see that one going for 80k 🤣
Great video. I am looking at buying one with leaf suspension. How rough is it unladen compared to a coiled suspension truck like say the 2500? What is the fuel consumption like? Can you talk a bit more about these two points? What’s your opinion of the patriot blue colour?
They all have a leaf suspension in the rear.. not sure what pickup truck has coils in the rear, but all I can tell you is the info I stated in the video. I don't have ownership experience to tell you what mpg is like in real world driving. I'm a fan of blue, but color choice is a personal choice, so just depends on what you will enjoy seeing everyday!

This Ram weights 6,800 pounds and has a payload of 6K pounds. Rams website has that info, so not sure where you are getting your numbers from. I also stated “starting” MSRP, so that will depend on options as to the cost. Used market prices will also differ because of availability.

Even the Cummins standard output will come with the 68rfe and that's also a 6 spd., not sure where an 8 speed was said in this video? You are definitely off on the weight. My 21 3500 Longhorn Ltd MegaCab SRW w the HO Cummins has a GVWR of 12,300 pounds & a max payload of 3,775 pounds. Thus the truck weighs 8,525 pounds. I’ve seen different numbers on the web, but it doesn’t mean they are true. Some variance may be due to trim level. Also $80,000 will not get you a fully loaded Limited dually with the Cummins. ~$10k for Standard output; over $12k for HO Cummins. If you have a dealer that is selling for that much under sticker please let us know. I’d love to order a new 2023. However, you are right. The RAM 3500 is a GREAT truck. Sharp, comfortable, great ride & powerful.
I watched your video again & you never say this is a NEW truck or any reference to the year or mileage. You only mention it’s the latest generation of Ram 3500. So it might be possible to get THIS truck for $80K. It’s a good video but referencing the weight ratings on the driver side door & frame would help validate your claims on weight.
I’m using the Ram website for that number. I would say they have a good idea of the weight. This isn’t a new vehicle but it still has a lot of options, so it’ll be expensive on the used market and especially in todays market.
80k for this maxed out beast versus 80k for a barebones F250 Superduty... I think the Dodge wins handily as privately purchased work truck in this case, while Ford cheats by offering heavy fleet discounts to companies.
That’s going to be a 6 speed transmission not 8. Not nightfall but night edition package. They are simulated ALCOA (Chinese knock off) wheels and are part of the night edition. Need to do a little more research before a video lol

To bad you cant actually haul heavy with this. The real duals are not spaced far enough apart with the increased tire size and will rub at max towing capacity.
@ because when you put 5000 pounds of tongue weight on the bed, it causes the tires to squat and push outwards and they did not put a spacer in those wheels that are running bigger tires and I guarantee you that they will rub. At the very least they will be so close if a rock gets caught in between it will cause rubbing and a puncture.
@ for a point of reference look at any CJC off-road video where they built out a dually and you will see that they used a 2 inch hubcentric spacer, also you will see no matter what tire size they used. There is at least an inch gap if not more between the tires. If you look at the tires on this video, you can see that there is maybe a half an inch at best spacing. Which tells you a they did not use a spacer at all, or B they used one that was too small. And see if someone loads this down to max towing capacity with a gooseneck trailer, they will be rubbing their dual tires.

@@Subi_doo I wouldn’t agree with that. I put 35’s on my Tacoma, stock is a 31 and that didn’t effect towing in any way. This is still a very capable truck. The side wall you talk about won’t effect that at all.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed with those tires, this thing is probably humming at 3000-3500 rpm at 75 mph on the highway. Greatly reducing the amount it can tow. Fluids will over heat with any load greater than 8-10k, and mpg will be low single digits. Everything you do to a truck dealing with suspension, and tires/wheels, will in some degree alter the capability of it. It may not be noticeable to people who don’t use their rig for work, but those who do, will notice drastic changes in its handling and ability. With the large sidewalk, trailering will seem squirmy and their will be a lot of trailer wandering going on because the tow rig is not stable on its own. So maybe it’s not completely useless, but you’ve now got 1/3rd the orignal tow capability.
That truck does not weigh 68 hundred pounds. Not even close. A stock dually in those specs is weighing in at bare minimum 9 thousand. And that's with no fuel in it

What’s that mean?
That truck does not weigh 68 hundred pounds. Not even close. A stock dually in those specs is weighing in at bare minimum 9 thousand. And that's with no fuel in it

DEFINITELY WEIGHS MORE THEN 9 MOTHA fuggin thousand pounds. But here ya go. I'll school you smart guy. They have a GVWR of 14 thousand pounds. They have a cargo cap of anywhere from 4500 pounds to 4900 pounds. Subtract cargo from the GVWR and you got your fucken weight of the truck. BAAAAM next time know your shit before you open it.

So I'll school you 1 more time and I'm done wasting my time on fools. So here we go. First off you did specs on a crew cab short box. Not a mega cab which is the equivalent of a crew long bed as far as Frame length so there's at least a 500 pound difference with the length and added metal to make that length. OK so moving on. Now we move on to your choice to compare is a hemi not a diesel. The difference between the 2 is I belive 4 to 5 hundred pounds more for the diesel. Now moving onto the dually 2 extra rims and tires and added weight of the axle itself. See where I'm going with this. Good lord man. Attention to detail is a very important life lesson. Learn some
@@jf8564 I guess you can’t read because the title clearly states Megacab, and yes I did review a Megacab as also shown in this video. Really hard to argue that point.
You might want to research more and pay attention to what’s shown in a video. Hope that helps you in the future.. using specs from the Ram website as I provided, so if you have an issue with the specs, take it up with them.
