ive been watching football for over 20 years and the eagles havent had a corner that can tackle like this shelden brown. he looks great, his effort is amazing. im annoyed he sat as long as he did
Seeing Cooper in action now plus Q. Mann that secondary is coming together ! We need Jordan and Dean to take that next step and we might be cooking fr.
And Carter. Dude shows up every third game. Davis...I hated that pick originally because I wanted Hamilton. Then, he started to win me over, and now I am back to being over him. Smith is as physically gifted as it gets but can't play at the NFL level. Dean can't play in coverage but is a solid tackler.
@@michaelpointek1899 Dean quite literally sealed the deal last week in coverage 1 on 1. these guys are young and have been in multiple schemes. Way too early to be calling anybody a bust or unable to do anything, yet.. Ill admit Davis has been a nonfactor is most games Ive seen, but it turns out that the NFL is hard lmao. Im trusting Fangio more and more as the season progresses, as it looks like our guys are tightening up and focusing on the little things. We shall see though.
Philly loves effort and heart above almost every other attribute (as long as you don't suck). DeJean showed a ton of both this game. He keeps this up, and plays like this we'll be seeing thousands of #33's in the stands of the Linc
Good film breakdown. Love seeing the All 22 view, wish they would broadcast in it occasionally. One note at minute 6:30ish. Mitchell is actually playing the technique perfectly. In that coverage, he has no immediate help from the safety so he is in true man2man w/ a single mid-high safety on the opposite side of the field. As the play starts, the outside CBs are both playing inside technique; Mitchell anticipates the route and opens his hips quickly to the side line to use it as extra help and to keep the WR from coming open overtop too early. This helped limit Watson's options of what type of throw he could make, and forced that throw to be perfect.
Dejean is high motor and high IQ, he knows where to be, he gets here quickly, and seems to be a sure tackler so far. The ball hawking will come as his confidence grows and teams get to gambling.
Just enjoy this guy Philly, Iowa fan here and Coop is probable one of the greatest Defensive players/punt returners in Iowa history. Just a complete player with ultimate confidence in himself.
He has the ability to diagnose the play so well man I love watching him play he made king Henry look like a straight Jester lol he reads that shit like a book. our defense is looking immaculate right now but also Blankenship has done a really good job same with Braun and Jalen Carter and of course the Warden Quinyon Mitchell pretty much making history with the numbers he’s putting up . Go birds baby 🦅🦅🦅
Really love the way Vic is scheming DeJawn to just make plays. Swiss Army knife type player who is both athletic and a high IQ at the position. Vic was waiting for this moment.
That is what being Coached by Phil Parker for 4 Years does. You have to tackle and He teaches keys so His guy diagnose plays quickly , You draft a DB from Iowa You know they will have high football IQs, good anticipation and tackling and when one has the athletic skills of Coop You have a baller, Him being there at 40 was criminal
I feel like he is gonna be a good player but he only played in one game outside of returning punts. Q has been impressive he actually has 5 games plus pre season to back that up. But still a good video.
Modern DBs aren't "afraid" to tackle. They are reluctant to take on 310 lb guards. In the old days a guard weighed 265. Now they often weigh in at 335. DBs weigh the same as they ever did.
He is shining because he got picked on a lot due to being a rookie. He proofed them wrong. Dude used to destroyed people in college and dunked on people in HS. He is fast, strong, and has that vertical.
Cooper appears to have intelligence, passion, athleticism and most importantly being a free spirit on the field…Vic Fangio has to let players play to their strengths, and position them accordingly…Good pick, Mr.Roseman
Dude you missed what he actually did to disrupt the play and that was a slight jump to discourage and impede the QB from seeing the RB to throw a screen
My only complaint is his tackle attempt on Watson near the end zone was poor. He tried to make a big hit when he should've wrapped him up. Nice to see a defensive player actually be disruptive on this team though.
I don’t think it’s that he’s soft, he’s been good in the run game most of the time this year, but he just hasn’t developed as a pass rusher and I guess he never will which makes the pick a thumbs down in my opinion but at least not a complete bust
@@kevinmyers440to be fair he is a textbook nose tackle and I think people put way too high of expectations on him. As long as he’s an amazing run stopper that’s all that really matters in the long run
I'm just surprised the eagles are actually giving him snaps. Usually if their only good option is a rookie they just end up putting some UDFA vet in to get cooked.
Commanders could have had Drake Maye and Cooper DeJean. In years time this mistake will show. Especially DeJean. Once Kliff becomes the Cowboys head coach Jayden Daniels play will suffer.
Why do y'all go so crazy over 1 game? I can't even say what he's good at because it's not enough tape and it was the browns. Q on the other hand has been good all season and I love the fact that I've seen him be tested on short and deep balls and he's broken up both along with he's not scared to tackle I just hope Q doesn't see King henry in a one on one situation when we play the ravens this year😂😂😂
@@pesb18champ11 This was DeJean's first start. He was injured during TC and only played on ST the prior 4 games. The guy states that Dejean has been one of the best rookies for the season so far. How?!? when this is his first start. He played really well this past game and I expect him to be tremendous in the nickel position (esp. since Avonta Maddox was a weak link in the defense), but stating he's been one of the best rookies through the season so far when this was his first start makes me feel like he doesn't know a lot about the eagles situation.

Really happy with their first 2 picks. Two great CBs that will be part of the Eagles’ Secondary for years to come.

Can't wait to see dejean Sydney brown Mitchell and Ringo on the field at the same time. That's a lot of youth speed and motivation
Philly
We call him DeJawn
What does that mean tho
Like the mustard?
No in philly we just say jawn. Pretty much just a noun. A hot girl can be a jawn, a car, a sandwich, etc... it can literally be anything

Mitchell and DeJean are such a nasty CB duo.
You said it like he's been playing all year, this was his only game of meaningful snaps
But he flashed hard, and you saw a few new wrinkles in the defense. More than anything it shows there's promise with the kid, that's the point
Here the Commanders are struggling with horrendous cb play. Im Still mad about them passing on him
Good Video

You are saying his name correct
how do you get this film??

They both make a difference. That's why they should be in there, Mitchell and Jean. Young talent 2 horseman's.
Btw, dejean knew it was a run at 2:52 because Elijah Moore just stopped, so he didn't need to actually see the play
we shall see.
Maddux doesnt want to tackle....... DeJawn is a good tackler.
