I could NOT jump on here fast enough!!! Bon Jovi was THE 80'S band that ALL teenagers listened to!! Thank you JBLETHAL!! You are the man who recognizes great music despite the era or genre!! Bon Jovi does have a wonderful voice!! He still makes records!!
Bon Jovi has stood the test of time. There was a moment, tho, as music was in the change, that they kinda had to take a step back for a brief time. Rap was taking hold, grunge was exploding, but when Bon Jovi came back, it was as if they never left. Amazing!
My best friend and I saw them when we were 13 years old for the first time in '85....they're coming to town in June and this will be our 9th time seeing them...although it's been 10 years since we've seen them in concert, we become like teenagers once again and we're 47 years old!!! I think one of their best songs is Keep the Faith....listen with headphones on and loud...although, I can never get any device to play it super loud because I just have to blast it!!!!
Up until they went country - is where you'll find most of this bands talent. I never missed them, Cinderella, winger, poison, Styx, motley Crue, Nelson live
Jon is an amazing artist but an even more amazing businessman. He has helped take care of the band and their families and kept them from making some very bad decisions. With all the broken up bands and deaths due to drugs.....its amazing that Bon Jovi is still around and that they are all still friends.
When I was young, my dad sat me down and played his records to and for me, told me about his favorite artists and a bit about their history. Because of this I have favorites from all over the different types and time slots, different classic and modern. I see my brother now, whose only 6 years younger than me, blaring heavy metal and the like at BBQ's and trying to get my 4 year nephew-HIS OWN SON-into THIS TYPE of music and I just want to cry. All that great music is being forgotten and lost. Thank you for at least trying some of the ones I grew up with and loved. I used to love Bon Jovi and still like to listen to him even now.
I hear ya. 15 years old then. 49 now. Hard to believe. So many faces I remember, all young in high school. The hair, the styles, everything in front of us. Good times. I remember feeling young. The power of music.
I legit love how open minded you are to music. We all have our own, personal tastes as far as genres. Most of what we listen to comes down to what our parents played while we grew up, some of us are fortunate that way. Personally, my lifetime soundtrack is super encompassing. I'm an 80's baby who was raised by my grandparents, so I was lucky enough to of been exposed to everything from 50's and 60's doo wop and r&b/soul to classic rock and 80's and 90's country. I was privileged to experience hip hop when it was (in my opinion) at it's finest with artists like Biggie, Tupac and Bone Thugs to name a few. My son is 15 and he's growing up with that same spectrum. We've added punk, reggae and power metal to the list. I guess what I'm getting at is the importance of exposure. I'm genuinely excited for you to experience different types of music.
Hello from Cody wyoming! Jon Bon-Jovi has given millions and millions of dollars to charities. He is quite the philanthropist, he does not take his fame for granted. He has also been married to his high school sweetheart for over 3 decades
Yes indeed “Blaze of Glory” A sister to Wanted Dead or Alive, I remember leaving the theater after “Young Guns” slapping my motorcycle as if it were a horse as I roared into the night. Great Movie , Blaze of Glory official video has awesome theatrics too.
This song was the theme song for the TV series Deadliest Catch. The harpsichord is outstanding. Crab fishing is extremely dangerous, we lost a nephew at the age of 18, he went to Alaska to be a crab fisherman and was accidentally knocked overboard, and his body was never found. I have read where Bon Jovi has done many concerts and donated the money to help homeless charities.
Wow...memories, every teenage girl including me, was absolutely in love with Jon Bon Jovi throughout the 80's on, including right now. For me, their music has stood the test of time and that's how you know it's great. Back then you had to have real vocal talent, none of this auto tune crap or tracks of today. I will continue to say that the music of my time, the 80's, is the best there is and that's what I will continue to listen to, you can't beat it. So, I really appreciate you going back in time and enjoying the talent that came from those years, keep it coming! :)
And still making music and doing concerts...I got to take my daughter to his concert in Atlanta a few years back...her first concert!!! And he's such a good person!!
As an african american this song is special to me. I heard it when I was in junior high around when it came out. That's where it started. I went down the rabbit hole. Went from hair metal to heavy metal to thrash to death metal. \,,/
When I was a kid my mother would play her old 45s which were 50s and 60s music and I loved it, so my love for all kinds of music came from my mom. I even love early jazz, swing and ragtime music. If you are a music lover, you need to at least appreciate the classics.
Me too! I had a little portable turntable in a case and I would get up early on Saturday mornings and listen to all my mom's 45's. This was in the early 60's and I was about 5 or 6 years old. I love every kind of music there is. Except for Hip Hop....sorry.
Now you have to react to Blaze of Glory. It was used for the Young Guns II movie. If you haven't seen the Young Guns movies you have to check them out.
I was a huge Bon Jovi fan back in the day. Richie Sambora was always my favorite member. He's the guitarist in the black hat that echoes Jon's vocals. Richie has an amazing voice, strong and soulful. I encourage you to listen to any song off his solo debut "Stranger In This Town". I wore out 2 cassettes, before buying it on CD. Rosie is a great choice, or One Light Burning. I've requested Richie to several reactors and so far no one has bothered to listen to me. They're missing out on great music just because the comment doesn't get hundreds of thumbs up.
I'm a new subscriber. I've been watching your past reactions. Born in 1958, I remember some of these from jr high. Those are the ones I know the words to. It's great to see someone of your generation realizing the music messages from the 60 and 70's especially. I haven't seen your reaction to the Scorpions. What a great voice. My suggestion would be "Winds of Change" for a first. Loved your reaction to American Pie. Put 3 Dog Night on your get to it list. You might remember Joy to the World or Jeremiah was a Bullfrog if you heard them. Ask your Uncle about WAR by Edwin Starr. Enjoy watching you. Thanks
I grew up in Trinidad & Tobago in the 1980s, and was primarily a hip hop head, but I also rocked out to Bon Jovi, Def Leopard, and Guns N' Roses etc as a young teen. Yes, we had a satellite dish and had MTV at our house even in T&T during the 1980s...lol
This reminds of the very beginning of MTV!! When they actually played MVs and live shows! Jons vocals are still this good!! Speaking of supernatural..did you react to Kansas's " Wayward Son" I'm sure you have😉 gonna miss that show too!!😪 Dean has the BEST taste in music!!
You're definitely my kindred spirit. I've been into all types of music my whole life. Stuff that my parents didn't even know. But then again I'm an Mtv generation kid. So when video tv came into our living room it opened up the whole music world to better exposure. And it seems you and I are both in the SPNfam. 😀😁
This song was for the movie Young Guns which Bon Jovi had a bit-part in (apparently, I could never find it). But it goes with SO many other movies or so on.
Come on jbl....I'm a 59 year old metal head....frew up in the 70s...am a fan of you...your direction...your passion...what do you say...sample 2 bands...2 songs....n allow me the satisfaction of watching your approval...within temptation...faster....and nightwish...ghost love score....you won't regret it...and you will take on new fans as well aa enlighten your current fans...love ya man
My mom was IN LOVE with Jon Bon Jovi!!! I had hip hop posters on my bedroom wall and she his🤣🤣🤣 I do like some of his songs I can’t even front!!! My bffs name is Gina... her 1st loves name was Tommy... so you know she played Living on A Prayer a million and 1x🤣🤣🤣 I miss the 80s but even more I miss the 90s!!! Where is Marty McFly when you need him🤷🏽♀️🤣
Keep listening to Bob Jovi , there are many other songs to explore that will blow your mind. One of my personal favorites is Wild is the Wind...it’s somewhat similar to wanted dead or alive.
Love their music, but never saw them in concert. My friend Todd did, and he said they were definitely a "girl" band. As in....they put on a good show for the girls lol
Deborah Peterson I went with two of my friends to see them in Dublin, (in the rain), well one of the girls wanted to see Jon up close, so we pushed our way from the back of the stadium right to the front of the stage, we just stood and sighed at the sight of him, it was great!
Longtime subscriber here :) I love that you’re exposing yourself to tons of different genres. I’ve seen you do a lot of 70s/80s rock. Would love to see you jump in a bit to early 90s rock/grunge. Could I put in a request for Pearl Jam -Black - Live on MTV Unplugged? I think you’ll be amazed. The emotion in the vocals is crazy...very raw song about heartbreak.
Saw them live back when they were just hitting their stride. It was obvious they had something special. They were an opening act when I saw them and two weeks later they were headlining
I was never a fan until I saw them in Akron ,Ohio for the Monsters of Rock tour which had like 5 bands play. They were great and I have been a fan every since.

I didn’t know you were an SPN fan! Yay SPN fam! “Bon Jovi rocks... on occasion” Also, Supernatural alone would have introduced you to a LOT of top notch music- including Jensen Ackles himself. His band (with him as lead vocalist for this song) had one of their new songs in the last season of SPN. Man, that man has the voice of an angel! He’s just so damn good. Pretty sure he’s leaving acting behind after the show and focusing on his brewery and his music.
👏👏👏🤟If you love ❤️ Wanted Dead Or Alive you will love Jon’s song for the soundtrack he wrote for Young Guns 2 called Blaze Of Glory! Glad you enjoy all kinds of music even rock!
That’s how my playlist looks! Lol! I have everything from Elvis to Otis Redding to Tupac... 😂 and pretty much everything in between! Your not alone with your music genres! ☺️
My nephew is just slightly older than JB...I first realized I had gotten old when he was about 17 or 18 and he said to me and my mom, "What's a Bon Jovi?" Damn that was brutal...lol
For the longest time, I would only be introduced to music through TV or movies. It's interesting how the two get intertwined, but part of me feels bad for the music that gets associated to commercials or memes.
Bon Jovi is one of the most beautiful and talented rock stars that ever lived
And one of the longest careers. Right along with Metallica. I'm sure there are alot of other. My brain is mush after watching James for 18 hours
@@drakawinkle584 I friggin love James Hetfield and Metallica
Yes he is! But watching this, I was reminded of what a young Richie Sambora used to look like- wow...

One of my favorites from the 80's. Especially love Ritchie Sambora's harmonies & guitar.💙💙
Up until they went country - is where you'll find most of this bands talent. I never missed them, Cinderella, winger, poison, Styx, motley Crue, Nelson live
ritchie is up with slash hendrix kravitz and the edge
Most of Richie Sambora's songs from his solo album would be good to react to. Excellent blues numbers.
@@OldBoiler62 oh yeah 😊 some awesome tunes on his first CD that's for sure
Jon is an amazing artist but an even more amazing businessman. He has helped take care of the band and their families and kept them from making some very bad decisions. With all the broken up bands and deaths due to drugs.....its amazing that Bon Jovi is still around and that they are all still friends.
Just an FYI: Jon Bon Jovi has a foundation - Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation that works toward breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
all their music has socialist lyrics. they are the soundtrack of the working class in america - but hardly anybody notices :D
Jon Bon Jovi also supports the special Olympics
I always thought his 'Steel horse' he referred to was a motorcycle...nope, turns out he was referring to his tour bus🖤
makes sense
not the tourbus...Jon ment the musicindustry !!

Being the theme song for Deadliest Catch, a show about an Alaskan crab fishing fleet on DISC, has brought this song to a new generation as well.
