Grew up listening to them in the eighties, what a brilliant bunch of guys.

Buster Bloodvessel is such a character. His hotel was called "Fatty Towers" that catered for overweight people. At his peak he weighed 430 pounds but had a gastric operation some years ago so he could lose weight. Good to hear he's still going strong. 👍

Bad Manners is the band. The singer is Buster Bloodvessel. True story! Quite a bit of Ska about in the early 80s. Try some Madness, Baggy Trousers is their classic. Bed and Breakfast Man is one of my favourites, or Niight Boat To Cairo. Other than that The Specials Ghost Town.
Night Boat To Cairo, yes. I would also add Too Nice To Talk To by The Beat (Or the English Beat as they are known in the US), and as for The Specials, my favourite track by them is Gangsters.
I suggest The Specials - Ghost Town, it perfectly sums up the despair of the young in the summer of 1981, it was released after the Riots that went on in several UK cities during thre Summer of 1981 To. I remember going through Moss Side in Manchester, it literally was a bombed out Ghost Town.......................it's a summer I remember well. The first disturbances began in Brixton over the weekend of 10-12 April 1981, and were followed in July by a series of similar disturbances in more than 35 cities and towns, especially Liverpool. In London, these included Dalston, Stoke Newington, Clapham, Hounslow and Acton
Saw them a few years ago, there were lots of bands on that day and evening, when Bad Manners came on all the middle aged men all jumped up and started dancing, was brilliant
You finally got round to Bad Manners! Just for a couple of minutes there I was eleven again. The sound of my youth in all its glory. Loved that you guys enjoyed it as much as I did, back in the day. Thankyou both very muchly. 😎👍👍
I saw Bad Manners at a regional festival in UK circa 2004 I was already a fan of theirs. On that day his stage was in full sun and he was the 3pm act, I thought he was going to expire - he kept up that dance pace for the entire set Awesome!
Loved this one chaps… those first few seconds of your reaction are priceless… the music has you smiling from the outset, and then the camera pans back revealing Buster Bloodvessel and you just fold in laughter - absolutely love it. Happy music full of happy energy.
I went to watch him last week in my home town of aberdare, wanted to see him for absolute ages, the tunes have been stuck in my head since, absolutely love bad Manners and ska
I've had the pleasure of buying Buster a beer in Baltimore. He in turn, bought me one . Just him and I talking about football ( soccer). A class class. And Bad Manners are ALWAYS AWESOME!
He used to own a run down hotel in Margate and my football team (Fulham) played them in the FA Cup. We didn’t stay there but he had an all night party the night before, he was such a great guy, his barman hung weights from his testicles, Buster shaved off the hair of anyone daft enough to agree, we left at 4am. It’s fair to say, one of the best nights of my life.
As was I. He was supposed to have ridden around the pitch on a camel before the start of the game , bit unfortunately this didn't occur. Still got the game on video, Sky Sports coming to you live from Hartsdown Park. Oh what days !
@@paulhollett7183 Fantastic, I remember chatting Nasty Nick who went onto Big Brother sometime after! A very surreal night. I do remember Buster doing cartwheels on the pitch before the game.

Great reaction to a really fun song. Bad Manners were the party band of the British ska revival, along with early Madness, whereas other bands (particularly The Specials) usually had a serious message in their lyrics. There are a couple of big British ska bands you haven't reacted to yet ; The Beat (known as The English Beat in the US) and The Selecter.
I remember skipping school school to go and watch Buster and the boys record the video for ' Walking in the Sunshine' . He loved hearing that when I finally got to meet the legend in Belfast after an unbelievable gig. Definitely a band to make you dance and smile😁😁.
Brings back great memories as a kid i also could'nt get the song out my head and sung it for years...Buster Bloodvessel was a larger than life guy. He had a party trick where he would crush a pork pie into a large jar of pickled onions then he would down it like a pint of lager...

Great to see you enjoying Buster Bloodvessel and Bad Manners so much. A great part of the Ska scene when I was growing up. I once asked the DJ for Bad Manners Can Can at a dinner dance and was the only one that danced lol Great fun
Inner London Violence is my favourite Bad Manners tune. I met Buster at The Pelican Club in Aberdeen Scotland in 1991. He’s a lovely fella. Still touring too. Although, he’s slimmed down but still likes the crowd to shout “you fat bastard” at him.
I saw them a couple of years ago at a festival I was working at, ended up on stage with them. Buster is one of the nicest guys in music, always wanted to stay at Fatty Towers and try one of his breakfasts
I saw them live at a stag do about 10 years ago and they ain't changed !! I don't think I've been to a wedding in the UK where a Bad manners tune hasn't been played by the end of the night !!!! Long live Buster B and his famous big tongue!!!!
Still going strong..... saw him at the globe in Cardiff in 2013 ..... great gig .... he's much smaller ... he had a gastric bypass and went from 30 to 13 stones
The unstoppable force of nature that is Buster Bloodvessel! 🤣 Such a great tune, haven't heard that for such a long time, thanks for a hilarious reaction boys 👍😆. Agree with others about the Can Can 🤣
Bad manners were experts at doingcovers. Tomy recollectionthey covered Deep Purple's black night, Lou Bega's mambo no 5 and their song 'you fat bastard' provided the main loop behind wyclef john and the rock's it' doesn't matter!
My friend got this band in his club about 12 years after this came out, when they saw his sound system they said …we only need our instruments here…..when they came out on stage they were well drunk, what a great show they put on….the sax player was playing while being passed around on his back in the crowd, i spent most of the show going back and for to the connection block on the stage re plugging their leads in cos the were so lively they kept pulling em out.
Growing up as a kid in England in the 80's, seeing Buster on the telly was always a novelty, partially because he was generally the fattest person most of us had seen, especially on the television. Now, in 2024, I'm watching two people on the internet reacting to him about 40 years later, and they're both fatter then he is. It's surreal.
There's a member of Bad Manners, Nick Welsh who performs under the name King Hammond, absolutely brilliant. He worked on the Lee Scratch Perry Jamaican ET album that won a Grammy. Very English references, Monkey Boots, Rockin on Ridley Road (a market in Hackney) and a very nice chap.
Iam form England went to Dallas for boxing see bad manners in local bar 😂😂 my family from London know the band lead singer dougie triddle is me brother in law is his mate and my wife went to school with him very good band still touring , love you guys 🙏
The white boilersuit and black boots with a shaved head usually meant a minor gang culture in the UK. Buster Bloodvessel took that and made it his own. The 'all-access music' and the fun was completely the opposite to them.
They are a class band! Check out their love song to beer called Special brew! And also check out another ska band called the beat and a song called ranking full stop 😁 ska is my jam man!
Check out "Special Brew", a love song devoted to the strongest beer commonly available. Buster was famous for his excesses, and his energy is probably chemically enhanced. There was a LOT of amphetamine washing around at that time.
Had the pleasure of seeing both Bad Manners and Madness at the same concert, not sure if it was at city hall Newcastle, it was electric, fun and we danced our asses off, good days man. Also saw The Specials, Fun Boy Three, and Bananrama, class days.
I love them! I love him! They have so many good ones but if you want to really see his energy you should check.out their cover of ... The Can Can!! Yup, a Ska band covering a traditional french dance.
Best reaction yet 🤣 this has been an everlasting soundtrack in my head since I was a kid. May not be politically correct but "lip up fatty" plays in my head whenever I see an alarmingly large person walking the streets 😆😆 quality ska track too, no way can you not stomp go this. Glad you enjoyed 😉
Two hail Mary's four our father's. That is what I got for thinking your way! You have put me on a new way of looking at people, my beautiful wicked Ms Nancy!
So glad you liked this, the guys name is Buster Bloodvessel, such a great singer and amazing energy. It reminds me of happy times n London in th early 80's as a kid; after Bad Manners came out , the overweight boys in school shaved their heads and became cool, EVERY class had a mini Buster! bless em. Happy times, happy musc and a perfect example that music should be about the sounds and the feelings it evokes and not how 'boringly perfect' the band looks x
As this song was first released in 1980 or thereabouts it means that it's older than both of you, doesn't it? As both of your reactions were so impromptu and natural can you even imagine what it was like for us Brits when we first saw and heard this well over 40 years ago? It was great for us to see and experience because Buster Bloodvessel and the rest of Bad Manners lifted our spirits especially during the 1980's under that old witch Thatcher. They were the even funnier version of Madness and the complete opposite of The Specials musically speaking. Most of the young - and not so young - loved reggae, ska, Two Tone etc because their music brought all of us together to party and to lift everyone's morale - it was the total opposite and a complete counteraction of what Maggie T and all of her miserable Toffee-Nosed Tory Tw@t party-pooper cronies intended. You should also bear in mind that this was even before Culture Club arrived on the scene in 1982 and I well remember the collective meltdowns that went on amongst all of those conservatives when they first clapped eyes on Boy George when we all saw him singing on Top Of The Pops and performing " Do You Really Want To Hurt Me? " when it reached number 1 in the charts. It was just glorious to behold. Thanks to those fantastic musicians and performers from all those years ago and thanks to both of you for your hilarious reaction to seeing Bad Manners especially with Buster Bloodvessel in 'his white jumpsuit'. It's quite funny considering that neither of you were quite sure which was the band's name or what the title of their song was at the start of your video, were you? So can we all expect you both to have brain-worms with this particular song and its performance for the next 40+ years or so? I certainly hope so!! :-)
SKA Music is what it is. Just meant to be fun. Tearing down racial boundaries and having a good time. Dance like no one is around.

Still one my favorite band live bands. Saw them last year and they've still got it. You should watch a more recent live set. 👌
Buster Bloodvessel = Bust a Bloodvessel = Pop a main vein.
Bad Manners are amazing, your reaction is the best ever! Knew you'd love it.
Saw these guys at my local club in Ipswich. A brilliant night, such an entertaining band!
One of the best bands you will see live. I've seen them four times and it's two hours of non-stop hot sweaty dancing. Absolutely fantastic band.
Admission. I'm old enough to remember that being released and them appearing on Top of the Pops (TOTP) a very popular music programme.
Seen Bad Manners love a few times and always a great gig!
Ian dury and the bockheads hit me with your rhythm stick ..
Somebody get this man some Madness, stat. also, Bad manners after a skin full down the pub... on a Tuesday, quality.
Lorraine was my favourite Bad Manners song!
Screw being politically correct . 1984 material
Just a great live act.
I only bought a few CDs as a kid, and you've reminded me that for some reason, I had the Bad Manners album with this song! :D
Its daniels birthday n he will be dancing like a mad man to lip up fatty after a few beers🍺🍺🍺🍺😆
Buster Blood vessel could dance at that incredible pace for ages during his concerts. It made me feel tired and I was fit at the time.
Great tune for sure. When it comes to older UK ska I always enjoyed Madness - Bed and Breakfast man
