Superintendent's Message on CCSD's FY2025 Budget - May 14, 2024

Charleston County School District's Superintendent of Schools, Anita Huggins, provide an update to the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget, which was approved unanimously during the Committee of the Whole Meeting on May 13, 2024, to go to first reading by our Board of Trustees.
This landmark budget has the potential to increase teacher salaries by $7,500 and boost classified salaries to 100% of market value. If approved, this budget will usher in the first-of-its-kind in South Carolina Weighted Student Funding model, which would inject $32 million into schools.
