Gordon Kaye and Vikki Michelle as the characters Rene and Yvette from the BBC sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo which aired in the 1980’s. This is one of the best parodies of the Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin song, which had earlier reached number 1 in the UK despite being banned by the BBC at the time. Sadly this version only reached as high as number 57 in 1986.
Gordon Kaye died in 2017.
