I was actually at this mall another time when the system went off. They aren’t even loud enough for anyone to hear. My mom only realized it was a fire alarm after about 30 seconds.
all horn strobes/horns all chime strobes/chimes and all speaker strobes/speakers fire alarm types need to be loud enough that it's noticeable but not very loud or else it can cause hearing damage
Most Chicagoland Malls either use Simplex or EST Speaker strobes
Cool my friend Johnny lives in Natick and he goes here all the time and he said one when he was in third grade he heard them going off here

It’s the standard MA specified tone for EST systems. Simplex voice systems also have their specified code 3 tone that is used
