Ok the only few things about this build I didn’t like was the whole quick paint job, but that’s what u get in 4 days, also that’s a duel sided duel tip exhaust rear bumper.... thing is, it’s not double duel tip, it’s just a single sided duel tip car and that got me like :////

You have to tighten the controlarms when the car is in driving height. If you dont, the bearing of the arms is under constant stress, which causes faster wear.
I really like the mechanic dude you work with. He really makes the quality of your rebuilds that much better. Clearly very experienced, humble, and funny haha

Because there is no concept of quality repair in USA. Work done by not professionals in USA. They use cheap part, very low labor quality and tolerance.

The United States has achieved its place in the world by its citizens adopting a can-do attitude since the nations inception. We do what we can with what we have and we learn as we go. We also don't rely on other people to solve our problems for us.

Sloppy paintjob, you could see it happening when he was spraying the paint on. Just not being accurate spraying good overlap. Could have been done better in the limited amount of time.

5 years later and I drive a Z4 to and from work daily. I love this thing. Looks, power and ride quality is on par.
Can we get a breakdown of the total cost spent on the car? including your typical labor or labor at a shop? So far all i know is the car was auctioned off at 3200? what were fees taxes shipping, parts labor to get it where it is at the end of the video?
that would be cool to know.

Yeah dude the body kit alone is $1500 on eBay. I guess they're just saying to get it running it was 4k? But thats kinda dumb because it would not look anywhere near as good without that extra stuff(wheels, tires, body kit, coilovers, paint).
All Chris said, was it cost around $4000 at 34:25 but he got alot of the parts for free.
He said selling it at $20,000 would make them a profit of $12,000 so roughly 8 grand by the sound of it

Weeeeelllll remember it's a Salvaged Title, sooooo not able to flip for a $12,000 profit, maybe $5,000-$5,500 the $16,000 Z4's are clean titles and not wrecked twice and flooded. But it was a fun build to watch.
seeing this, it cant be profitable... Unless no brain is buying this car.. Shitty job, as it can be on paint job, changing paint color to other than the original, adding shit bodykit, huge gaps, missfits everywhere... damn, must have no brain to buy this car for more, than it was payd when they got it...
That turned out way better than I thought it would. Great freaking job. Bumpers I wasn't sure about but the end product was good

Yeah, that seemed like the biggest waste of time. And yes, they do come from the factory with all red wires, damned BMW. The plastic welded connector for the boost hose sounded really hack to me too, no guarantee that'll last through heat cycling, boost pressure, and oil exposure.
The panel gap on the bonnet is wamp
At least if they had a head on collision the car they would hit wouldn't cause any damage and would instead just get wedged between the panel gap in the bonnet....

On side was 65-year-old mother and on the other his father, 80. Both are well tucked but look drained and frail.
Honestly one of the most impressive builds I've seen in awhile, just for times sake. Hope to see more content with it to fix all the little details... Like the 4 cylinder.
Lol impressive isn't the word I'd use here horrific is the word I'd use the car looks like shit and my god the amount of issues with the car still, the paint job is horrid, the body gaps are terrible, the frame is bent as shit and I swear a group of high-school students on a $300 budget could of done a better fucking job in 4 days

You guys act like the Supra is a directly rebadged z4. Toyota and BMW agreed on the engine and chassis, and after that they didn't communicate for the entire design of the car. The cars won't handle the same. They won't feel the same. You fanboys just need to give the new Supra a chance.
luisionfusion it’s funny you say that since the Supra is being made in Austria and the whole vehicle itself it mostly bmw including the detuned B58 engine that’s in it making 330hp whole the z4 G29 version makes 382hp, let’s not forget Toyota’s original 2jzgte which made 320 20 years ago. Not knocking off bmws engines but a true Supra would have a boosted 2GR instead of the B58 or the V35A-FTS that is in use now with the LS 500 from Lexus which makes 416hp. So yea it kinda is a rebadged z4. I don’t remember Nissan grouping up with Mercedes Benz for their GTR

When I was younger friend of mine installed huge spoiler on the top of the boot of his Opel Vectra. He also covered 1/3 of his windscreen with black tape and put on like 100 performance stickers all over the car.

that kind of damage you always have to replace the wheel hub assembly. you can see how bent it is after wheel is put on
Fix the panel gaps and clean the headliner ^^ Otherwise, good job.
The chassis is bend because of the crash, and it also toke the steering off center, it probably needed a jig work to pull the chassis back in alignment.

the body kit sucks, front is waaaay too extra and the sideskirts are ugly AF rather the stock ones. The back is all good..but if I was 12 I would like it too.

My dad drives a z4. We live in a place where mods aren't really a thing and the z4 has been the most fun thing we've had since we came here, and we came here the second I was born. Convertible too, and according to my dad drives a dream.

My OCD was flipping with that paint job no door jams painted no hood panels painted looks so obvious it was red when you open door hood boot an under windows on the roof is a thin red line where it was. Over masked

In case you’re wondering, sDrive means the car is RWD (X1 and X2 would be FWD if it has sDrive badge). xDrive means all wheel drive. Your Z4 is a RWD model.

I have rebuilt a couple fire damaged cars and not sure i would do it again. He should find a 355 with damaged front end buy it, strip off everything from windshield back and sell every extra part . You could end up spending $25,000 on fastener, clips, hoses, wiring harnesses, trim ect if you could even get it from Ferrari.
