    My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

    Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of bad investment choices that I would not have made if I hadn't been so worried about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I couldn't determine whether to start paying for a house. In the end, I sold my positions, and the house needed more work than I had planned. I'm not sure how long I can keep going like this

    I think luck accounts for 70% of the ingredients to become rich and stay rich. Lots of people are doing the 5 things you are mentioning but only a small percentage of those people actually become rich and stay rich. I am a self-made multi-millionaire. I am in my 50's looking back this is what I concluded. The family I have, the environment I was raised, six car accidents I had without injuries. All those risks I took and investments I did mostly turn out to be winners. I can't be where I am today if luck were not a big part of it. I think this way make me humbler, and I don't take unnecessary risks. I try to minimize risk wherever I can. I think if you have a chance, you can ask the millionaires and billionaires if luck is part of their success.

      There’s a basketball adage: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” A lot of successful people mention luck, but discount the fact that they took action in the first place, often repeatedly or consistently. The majority of people don’t even take the shot.

  • @The.Harsh.Truths

    I appreciate your points, but these are feel good answers that give your viewers a sense of control over their financial future.
    The true answer is:
    1) luck
    2) raw intelligence
    3) grit
    Lucky, smart and tenacious people always get rich. 100% of the time. Even without luck, they get rich. With luck, they get VERY rich.

      I disagree! There's no need for luck when you understand the theory of winning:

      -SEASONAL TIMING
      -QUANTITY OF IDEAS SELECTED

    • @DuhAnimeProtagonist
      @DuhAnimeProtagonist 5 місяців тому +1

      @@MCLottotv agree wit ya there. "luck" comes from taking risks by putting yourself out there. you will fail more than you succeed which you must learn from until you get that just ONE time for "luck" to be on your side

    • @amirillodude
      @amirillodude 5 місяців тому +1

      Luck is being prepared when an opportunity arises. So if one doesn't work hard to gain knowledge, experience, & skills, even if a great opportunity comes around you will never be able to take advantage. So I think you make you own luck by looking for those opportunities and doing the things I mentioned above.
      Also, it's common knowledge that the average millionaire has average intelligence (as in IQ). It's not IQ that's important but EQ emotional intelligence which has more to do with being successful (wealthy, great relationships, spiritually, health, diet etc). I know this seeing the people around me and from my own experience

In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

But he chose to create a public image that won't offend or stir up envy by anyone. The ego wants to show off and that invites danger. Buffett probably lives to 99 like Charlie. Many of those who claim to know that health is wealth die in their 70s.

      I disagree! There's no need for luck when you understand the theory of winning::

      -SEASONAL TIMING
      -QUANTITY OF IDEAS SELECTED

    She never talks about smart investing. My aunt never worked. She just took her husband's salary, budgeted the s*** out of her life. And ended up a millionaire in her retirement.

    Hey Rose...At 2:33 you say "I am also a self-made ?illionaire ..."
    I replayed it about 4 times trying to figure out whether you said millionaire or billionaire. I'm laughing now because the little "views graph" goes way up at that moment. Looks like maybe I'm not the only one who couldn't tell whether you said "millionaire" or "billionaire"...I'm going to assume that would be "millionaire" because there really aren't very many billionaires in the US and my guess is, you wouldn't be YouTubing if you were a billionaire. I think one main factor for why I (and others?) was/were even paying that close of attention is because you were also comparing yourself to Warren Buffett.
    Dont DO THIS to us!!! 🤑🤗

    Idk Im just not too impressed by famous people anymore. They may be rich but then fall short in other areas. Doesn’t Musk have multiple kids by various women? Personally I don’t aspire to be rich, so I guess I’ll never be rich 😂 It just seems like idolatry to me to make that my main goal. However, I do like personal finance and I’m always striving to be better with money so I guess that’s my goal 😊 Faith and family over everything.

    Yes, bet on yourself! Even when people doubt you or don't even see you. An Wang, a Harvard physicist, started a computer company in 1955, at a time when few people even knew what computers were. Why? He wanted to prove that Chinese people could do more than own laundries and Chinese restaurants, he explained many years later. So he left a cushy job as a professor to capitalize on his inventions, building a company--Wang Labs--that would revolutionize the industry and create a personal fortune worth hundreds of millions. Aim high and see yourself attain heights that people would never imagine you could reach, because they don't see you at all.

    You put a goal to become millionaire and you kill yourself to reach that goal but on the way you lose a lot of things. Being with your family and enjoying their presence, feeling and understanding your young hood , having your moments with your friends are just some examples of what you lose. There have been a lot of millionaires who have not enjoyed their life and their wealth finally remained for their stupid children! Enjoy the life’s route. No need to be millionaire as there is 0 guarantee for being alive in the next 24 hours!

    Good tips, but rich and wealth are different. Net worth (millionaire) measures time and legacy. Rich is measured in a period (per month, per year). The way you interchange the 2 hurts my ears.
