Mr Chops, that microfiber towel at 13.05 could be a very quick way to destroy your ECU. Think about the static build up against some very sensitive semiconductors. You need to keep the ECU in a static shielding bag to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
240 bhp sounds good mate, I hit a corner in a bgt a while ago, big spin, don't use 2k solid on the firebird, it's very hard to get flat and so it looks proper, base coat and a good 2k clear will deffo look best, if it's not too dusty I'd do (and I do) it outside with your gun and compressor, tbh it's a skill you need to learn as opposed to silly rattle cans. For example I got a volvo in this week, it was dull on the bumper and wing, quick mask up and clear it, took an hour and brightened it right up, no need to send it away and spend 100s,all done for a cap full of clear, like 50p worth, if you can paint there's no flatting or polishing.
In the past I have made up my own spray booth with some old scaffolding I bought off ebay, a handful of poles and some fittings and then cable tie and tape polythene over. An hours work to put together but makes things easier.
In my experience with Ford Fiesta and Focus with TPMS not detected fault, it is cheap Chinese sensors. The sensors will report OK to a TPMS code programmer but the car won't like them. Spend a little more and get the Autel MX sensors.
Don't forget TPMS sensors are designed to fail after so long! I needed to replace all 4 of mine replacing on my Focus when I got back from holiday for a month. The car was sat for over a month and I had exactly the same issue have! I had all 4 of mine changed for £120 a few years back and I've never had a issue! i think the fail once the battery drops below a level or something!
They are cheap for a reason …. 600s wouldn’t find my car, topdon support eventually added my VIN code to their database and it still couldn’t find it. Topdon basically admitted their items are work in progress. Sent mine back
@@andrewbarnes1295 seems to be pot luck. The reason they gave for it not finding my car was it was from 2004, only problem there was it was actually a 2018 car, it wasn’t even an available model until late 2014. Eventually they added my VIN and car details to their database and it still couldn’t find it. If it thinks it’s 14 years older than it is, I’m not sure I’d trust anything it says. They are way cheaper than other brands, but there’s obviously a reason for that, plus they have been promoting and giving them away for a long time now
I turned my tpms of Completely on my ford focus the garage wanted 75 pound per sensor if you can't tell if your Tire is low on air they should not be driving
Changed wheels on wife's 2014 kuga few years back and asked for about sensors and programming. Crazy money asked but did buy genuine sensors amd took them to tyre place for fitting and the guys there said they don't need programmed the car detects them automatically. He was right no issues, no faults, all worked correctly and were going well when we changed that car.
@ChopsGarage I was changing them from 19inch to 17 for a better ride and selling the 19s with the sensors in them so was easier to buy new ones for the new tyres rather than shopping back amd forward.
The ford eco boom the same problem is happening with the ford transits 2l Eco blue the engines need a replacement just like the 1L fiestas any ford and also the new Vauxhall Corsas also has got a wet belt
James has Mrs Chops worked out your car sales company is just a cover for your love of cars! and your toy box, ref mx5 powered MGB PONTIAC CITREION VAN etc etc fair play to you!!
You may need to move the car for it to relearn the TPMS sensors. A lot of sensors have a roll switch and won't start transmitting until the wheels are turning or you have a flat. I don't know what sort Fords use in particular, so that may not apply in this case.
Really don't like grey cars, it looks like they're still in primer, but on the MGB with the black wide arches, trim ect, it really rocks ! The Trans am makes a cracking prom car , Homes James 🤣🤣
Hope you and brooke get the firebird all ready for her prom, have you thought about putting the fiat into a classic auction sale as might do well as will reach mire people🤷♂️👍
Chops guess what I got in with a oiled up spark plug? Your fave a peugeot 208 gti with the thp prince engine. Only on 26k miles and spark plug 1 covered in oil
James how the hell do you do the showroom Tetris. How you get in and out of the cars to move them is a mystery to me 😂 Good work make, love the channel 😀
Those mr2s are a lot sharper than mx5s I find bud. When an mot station is megga picky it means they don't want you due to being a car trader, they know that's when the vosa complaints start from the buyers.
@@tonycox5625 - Absolutely- I have a Mazda 3 MPS 2011 with TPMS, it hasn't gone wrong yet probably cos it's got Japanese batteries but realise it will do one day. - Think I will be tempted to tape over the warning when it does - although it did tell me years ago that one rear tyre was a little low and I found a nail in it!! - it had gone down to 25PSI only 3 days after I had checked all the pressures, so perhaps it is a useful warning,
Hi James. Nice MR2, great colour, and that Topdon is a brilliant bit of kit. James what's the story with that Gold Mercedes A class in the garage, pray tell, lol. Great video again, James 👌 💯 🇮🇪

Just bought one of those TopDon Bluetooth topscan dongles….. perfect ! Highly recommended. Really easy to use
I also just bought one because my campervan kept throwing codes. But the van's been stolen before I got to use it...
Small high output engines are rarely reliable long-term unless they are manufactured by Japanese companies.

Not sure a vacuum sensor for the ECU will work downstream of the supercharger... Whole idea is the SC gives positive pressure to the inlet manifold.

TPM’s aren’t a legal requirement. Replace them all with ordinary valves
Aren't they an MOT requirement if fitted to the car from factory? Not sure so please correct me if wrong.
