@@user-no9qb6lj7c Nice. Glad you like it. I think the Avid is the perfect series where price meets performance. You get a diminishing level of return above the Avid.
@@europeanian4205 I ended up getting a few more since this post, then moved on the the Shimano teremar xx rods for inshore and a couple custom rods… st croix isn’t quite at the top anymore for me I broke a few tips on them
I have several Pan Fish spinning rod & reel set ups ,, fixing to get another ,, the 7' St Croix Pan Fish rod ,, the one you don't like lol anyway I have Daiwa Revros LT 1000 reels on my other twoset ups ,, this is JMO and you can give me your thoughts on this :-) when I get a new reel for the new rod ,, I am thinking of going with a 3000 size reel ,, There isn't much size difference these days between the 1000 size reel and the 3000 size reel ,, there is a big difference between the line capacity though ,, the 3000 holds about twice the 4 to 6 pound test line than the 1000 size reel does ,, the 2500 size reels hold pretty much the same amount of line as the 1000 size reels do ,, Ok, this is where I am going with this lol I have my 1000 size reels loaded with braid ,, which I have pretty much decided to go away from ,, when I get a wind knot or whatever on the 1000 size reel ,, sometimes ,, most of the time lol I have to cut line off the reel to get the knot out ,, the 1000 size reel doesn't hold much line and I have to pretty much take half the line off the reel :-( going with the 3000 size reel would allow me to have twice the line on the reel ,, I use these rods kinda as a fish search rod ,, I throw crappie under spins with them ,,
That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I have a couple 2500 size reels on my M and ML rods. I've used the 2500 on my UL before and it worked fine. It's not that much heavier than the 1000 size either. I think if you lose that much line a lot, it's a good idea.
Have the 7ft coming in tomorrow. Super excited. Great vid!
Thank you. Hope you like it.
Kerenn..👍👍👍
You should try tandem trout magnets, you'll get twice the weight, but the same finesse.
That's not a bad idea. May have to try that some time.
I just ordered a avid in 6’ ulf ... I wonder how similar they are I just could not afford the legend
I have a 6'6" MLF Avid X. Honestly I don't think it'll be that much of a drop-off. The Avid is a great line.
@@TheFishingNomad I got it a few days ago and caught a shit load of bluegill, bass and chubs at a local river .... pretty happy with it

I have the 6'4 Light Avid Panfish paired with a Vanford 1000 for crappie. Holy smokes that thing is sweet! Catching dinky bass on it is a blast.

Thanks for watching!
Отримав всю необхідну інформацію з твого відео! Дякую! Привіт з України!!!
Glad I was able to help. Tight lines.
Can't cast because you have a very wrong reel paired up with it
What's wrong with it? What would you recommend? Why?
Looks to be at least a 2000 size reel. With an ultralight I'd go either 500 or 1000.
Medium light power? Really?! 💯😂. You're not supposed to drink the bong water...

Well duh the rod ain’t rated to throw trout magnets also 4lb flouro doesn’t help
Thanks for the support. Glad you enjoyed the video.
