Yes she’s pretty but I cannot deny how magical and powerful her vocals are. She’s talented and not banking on her looks to succeed, she is constantly becoming a little better when she comes out with music.

EXACTLY LOVE ...
I absolutely 💕 the Conversation that is happening here. Sooo dope and NEEDED. That's what Inspired me to develop this new Music experience. The power and magic hidden in the bass lines, and melodies of our Culture and history. Incredible artists paint timeless portraits of history, seemingly more relevant now than when they pinned it. Amazing.
Accept my invitation to

she's beautiful..not only externally..she eminates and radiates pure feminine power..her voice is her blessing...
TBH watching her tiny desk show I couldn't help but think how much fun it is to be in a band supporting a voice like hers, something similar comes to mind as well when I think of Submotion Orchestra and how they're able to interact with Ruby's vocals. Otherwise - I can't think of a bad or weak tune I've heard from her and that's before considering her looks. There are all kinds of privileges out there, I think the critical thing is what we do with them (using what you're given both inwardly and outwardly in making great things vs. just using it to win zero-sum games - very different trajectories).
Its not the physical shape of the face thats pretty about her its the energy that comes through that makes a human being pretty 90% of the time.
Cope
@@goldenmusic23 how
@@crxyy6252 because if u see ugly homeless man that hasn't showered in years you would never call him pretty even if he has energy
@@goldenmusic23 thats the reason :D u just didnt get it
@@crxyy6252 keep coping, soon the truth will come out.
Her voice is so pretty. Her voice in combination with her face is something hard to take in. Like staring at the sun!
well put
I don't know how to explain it but I know exactly what you mean.
Joja or the presenter?
@@MwanaWevhu Jorja
Quelle belle voix et quelle magnifique combinaison en tissus madras de chez nous, les Antilles 🥰
Merci Jorja
SHES DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE WRITERS RIGHT NOW!! ONE LOVE ☝🏼⚡️🙏🏽🙏🏼☝🏽🎶💥💫💯✨🤓
Oh yes pretty privilege exists. People generally prefer good looking folks. Brands front their products using them etc. However Jorja can sing too.
@@eqsael The nearest advert board to you proves the point.
doesnt matter, ive seen plenty fat women that can sign even better, they are just not good looking enough to have fans and etc, many singers that are good looking like Justin Bieber most of their fans are their fans because of their face not of their voice, if u try to disagree with that you are probably coping.
@@goldenmusic23 You are contradicting yourself. Why dont the "fat women" have fans? Your analogy about Justin Bieber agrees that pretty privilege exists. Not sure you are agreeing or disagreeing?
@@ibexy read my comment again stupid. I agreed that pretty privilege exists, its all about pretty privilege tbh in today's world, if u are average u have to hard work if u are pretty u don't have to put that much work. Im pretty sure there are people who put more work, more effort than her and Justin Bieber and other singers that are gl and people thought they put work, thinking something is not always right and people that are not gl have it harder there are plenty of studies and also i have many real life examples
@@goldenmusic23 People who get angry and abusive simply because of a differing opinion need to grow up. You are obviously too young to understand the topic. Bye!
They both have beautiful smile. Jorja has such a sharp, sweet and refreshing voice; her beginning verse of Be Honest
. Also, she's from Walsall so, of course, she's Yam Yam!
Ew Walsall ick
I see Jorja, but the presenter is beautiful. My type...
I didn't even know how she looked like untill now. Just remembered the name from some of her songs. Don't know what album, but I really liked a few songs of her.
this is why am proud to be black ✊🏿 pure beauty 🙏🏿❤
Jorja’s mixed x

lmao, the prettiest black girl u got is the one that looks the least black, HAHAHA
She literally said she's mixed lol
@@godkingarus8180
There are definitely pretty dark-skinned girls but I get what you mean. This is some weird one-drop rule shit going on to call her black.
Pretty privilege is definitely real but I don't think it is as influential as people think. It's like picking out a book because you like the cover. But if the first page doesn't impress you, you still put it back on the shelf. It might open some doors to opportunities but also judgment.
She's the prettiest woman. I'll die on that hill!!!
some females are pretty and make that their personality. They think they deserve the world just because they exist.
Jorja is pretty, but also eloquent, talented, feminine, and has made something out of her life. I respect that.
“females.”
and yes, if decent, people do deserve the world just bc they exist. I agree w the take on Jorja tho. Not sure what she was expected to say abt the existence of colorism and pretty privilege apart from say it’s real as if that changes anything
She's pretty and has good energy
She is so pretty

She is amazing
i fell in love with her face and body first then got surprised by her voice
Definition of pretty privilege. People already like how she looks lol
@@Jasmine-ot8br yeah well cry about it. You’re a girl you have girl privilege 😂. There will always be people more privileged than you and less privileged than you. Stfu and move on and keep putting in the work 😂
That's pretty privilege. People are more willing to give pretty people a chance than people they don't consider attractive.
@@chisomo8088 nothing wrong with pretty privilege tbh, its how the world works.
I don't really get the point - she said that pretty privilege definitely exists but then proceeded to talk about how she was sort of bullied in school for how she looks?
She just didnt want people to think she is only famous because of her looks
@@lolaispure4296 exactly
Both things can exist in one person's life ...
personally...I think she's average
Excuse me she was a kid back then ,talk about puberty;
Omg I like her
She's a good singer of course but her beauty is undeniable and it will come with pretty privilege, thats how the world works 🤷🏽♂️
In a world of superficiality, of course. Beauty plays a factor in everything. Not sure why pretty lightskin women have to answer for it tho nowadays like do pretty white women have to answer for it? I never see it
@@SupernaturalLove100 Because white women don’t necessarily have to be pretty to make it. Adele, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Mylie Cyrus are prime examples of that
pretty people whining because they are not being liked for their reason of choice... so saaaad
Pls unpack being ugly in therapy
Right now there's a guy simping for this chick... I feel for you bro.
you'd trade places in a heartbeat 😂
So did it put anyone else off that this host informed her “friend” that people were discussing her in a podcast/video discounting her talent, charisma and whatever else by placing the onus for the attention she’s received on her…looks / lightskin? Why would you let your mixed race Black “friend” know that other Black women are basically invalidating her by merely calling her “pretty?”
“Friends” who tell you unprovoked what kind of shit people are speaking abt you are actively attempting to disturb your peace and I’m wondering what the hosts intentions were..to make her doubt herself?
Bc what the hell is she gonna do in response to that information apart from possibly feel inadequate, self doubt or resentful? Why would you risk brewing that kind of terrible feeling in a friend? & regarding the question the host asked her more generally abt their discussion on “pretty privilege,” what can Jorja do or say in response abt her being “pretty” being the cause for her existence in music?
What can she do apart from exist and do what she loves? Lol I find it interesting that lightskin Blk women especially when mixed are expected now to answer for the concept of superficiality and or colorism which predate their existence in society by darker skinned, monoracial Black WOMEN, and it’s always WOMEN. It has been the truth since the dawn of time that “pretty” people have a leg up above those that aren’t as conventionally attractive and in Jorja’s case, her being conventionally attractive according to the hierarchy amongst Blk people and colorism also predates her existence..what is she supposed to say like do people rlly need her to validate that “pretty privilege” and colorism are real??
“Pretty” white women can just exist in their field of work, it seems. Jorja handled the questions very well and I’m glad that she did not invalidate herself or her talents like I suppose the host may have wanted her to? The question abt whether Jorja thinks people listen to her music bc of the way she looks was also perplexing bc does the host think that ppl listen repeatedly to songs or a whole discography based off the artists FACE which they cannot SEE while listening to the music? If the person is trash, they’re calling is trash and turning that shxt off. Was that another polite way to invalidate Jorja? Im failing to understand the point behind the questions 🤦🏾♀️
She's OK
ikr
Put her in arab country she's basically average, but since she has african descent she has the desired feature by the black comm standards.
I always think about this
really Arab girls don't really look like her. They perform a lot of cosmetic surgery, especially on the nose(cause their nose look crocked). And perform skin lightening and are hairy
@@leavemeal0ne378 Well Arab women are beautiful that's first, second she's nota true presentation of beautiful black women, so what i am saying is that just because she's light skin and light skin is seen as a desired feature in African culture doesn't mean to put her on a piédestal
Some of these comments...smh
Love how she just slid through the colourism topic 🙄 y’all not ready for that conversation cuz y’all not ready to give up the light skin previledge.
Wdym give up? It wasn't up to her what skincolour she was born with, i genuinely don't get why people act like she should feel guilty for something like this...
She’s the one who brought up colorism though.
@@gdragon5785 who said feeling guilty was what she should feel? Does colourism exist or not? What is colourism? Do you know how deeply and harshly it affects those discriminated against because of it? Anyways I said what I said
@@misskim237 stating that she should "give up" lightskin privilege, as if she has any control over it is in fact guilttripping. Me, as a black woman myself know all to well how colourism affects our community.
I still don't think segregation and blaming the people that happen to benefit of these privileges is the way to go.
We should instead take the people who exercise these privileges accountable and not further fight amongst ourselfs.
A question to you. How (and this is me genuinely asking) do you think she could physically give up a privilege she has no control over > and how would that technically go about?
@@misskim237
Why does she need to prove to you, a stranger, that she’s educated on colorism? The bxtch literally mentioned the existence of it, that’s enough. You want her to do what exactly because she’s light skinned and merely exists?? The issue is Blk women like yourself expect for Blk women like her to bend over backwards for being beneficiaries of a system they didn’t create and it’s telling of a deep seated issue y’all have w this women and the misdirected obligations you feel that they have by existing. Ask these same questions of the white and black figureheads in the industry that perpetuate colorism on a grand level which affects the way Black folks are depicted in the media. Not fking Jorja Smith. You wanted her to speak at length abt colorism so that she could say something that’d get her canceled? Bc any time a light skin touches upon it other women find a way to dissect what they’ve said and or question them endlessly 💀🥴🤦🏾♀️
what song is this? I love it!
Blue lights
This magic girl ❤
both dem cute.
I love Jorja

I never payed attention to her looks
Sounds like Reanna....
All these artists sound like a knock off 's of Billie Holiday

SHE IS AVERAGE !
Who hurt you 🙂
@@lama9151 below average female like her who think they have a chance with me,thanks for asking
Nigcel alerttt. But anyway, she’s average to you. Apparently to this host and everyone else that interrogates her on pretty privilege, she’s *too* pretty. Lol. So you’re wrong
@@SupernaturalLove100 in fact she is below average without makeUP, like very female

…that’s why she’s still touring and releasing music..cuz she fell off💀 unpack the jealousy in therapy tho
I think it shouldn't be called 'pretty privilege'. And it's not a privilege, it means people are always attracted to the person before the product. When someone buys a product, they first buy into the salesman, the marketing, not the actual product. The same goes here - although a physically attractive person is an easier sale, it doesn't mean someone not physically attractive can't make the sale, they must just have something else to them which people are attracted to.
yeah you just described privilege
@@koolaidjammerss it means if we have the right qualities, and not superficially, we can go far in life.
@@silverlake973 Yeah but that's not the point. Just because people who aren't attractive can also succeed, does not take away from the fact that prettier people have it easier
@@koolaidjammerss Attractive people have it easier. Pretty people are physically attractive but may have no other point of attraction about them.
@@silverlake973 So if you agree that attractive people have it easier, then how do you think being pretty is not a privilege? That contradicts itself
Didn't she cheat on her bf with Drake? Or was that someone else?

When I see her, I just want her to shut up and sing. I love her voice
who is the woman interviewing her
Julie Adenuga, Skepta's sister
Nooooooo don’t come for pretty privilege please it’s the last thing I haveeeeee lol
Where is she now? Like she NEVER got a proper star moment did she? Hope she eating though, anyhoo! She pretty plenty won't find feeding her if she down.
she’s pretty famous in the UK and she’s won a brits award so I’d say she’s pretty successful maybe not so much in other countries though
I’m sorry- SHE’S BRI-ISH??!!!
If its so annoying to her, then why does she objectify herself alot?
By existing? Lol you perverts objectify her and any woman that doesn’t run around in turtle necks 🤡
@@SupernaturalLove100 In western society, no one need to objectify women, they will do that themselves. I surely know what they ultimately wan, 'attention'. The main problem there(Also everywhere in the world) is increasing amount of simps, or in other words Weak mens. you know what happen to a society of weak men? the society will crumble, Morality will be taken, modesty will be shamed and discouraged, manipulators liers and tyrants will be the holders of power and justice. And thats exactly what happening there.
@@SupernaturalLove100 no not by existing ffs. Stop feigning ignorance and stop robbing women of the adult capacity to take responsibility for their damn actions. I clearly mean by wearing tight, revealing, immodest clothing designed to show off her body. You can see it in her music videos and live performances unless you are actually as dense as you sound. Jesus.
This is not a thing I love this girl
But don't you dare say pretty privilege I will slap you
Pretty privilege is a thing.
Of course in her case she’s become successful because she is very talented, I don’t think it applies to her all that much.
that is too funny....she rides on a look....and she's not that profound sounding...
Women have privilege full stop.
attractive women maybe. and same with rich men.
@@Mid9it not always, some wealth is inherited
@@Mid9it coming from a middle class family is still a privilege though, which they usually do.
@@Mid9it um no… when majority of the world is a compromised of third world countries; it’s a blessing & privilege to be raised in a middle class household.
she’s talking about in MUSIC
if she wasn't pretty she wouldn't be famous
Me when I lie out of envy 💀
@@SupernaturalLove100 I am not envious. Good for her. But if you can’t be intellectually honest enough to recognize there are almost zero unattractive female pop stars then I suppose I envy you for your blind idiocy.
@@hatchimatchi69 100%. It's not creepy if he is not ugly, you know😉. Its the truth. Nowdays people are pretending its dark while covering there eyes with their own hand. Human always appreciated beauty and aesthetics, No one can deny it. Thats why everyone acts wired when they come across with some who is Handsome/pretty/good lokking/strong facial features. This give a significant amount of advantage for the person, or you can say privilage. First of all everyone must accept the reality and move on, and improve their life. We can't change the unchangeable. Remember if one got somethimg you don't have, you also must got something that person does not have. Ine have to take life serious and stop act like a victim to the society, cuz complainers never gonna climb to the top.
Yeah she is absolutely beautiful.. stache and all😅😂😭
I definetly can see light complexion women who are attractive have an edge. And especailly have an edge up on darker colored black women.
I even see it in the interview if you notice how the bald darkskin girl shoots evil looks at the lighter skin girl. Sad thing is this will never change. The older you get the more you realize it.
Maybe because black woman get treated like shit even by their own men.
evil looks? lmfao okay "lightand lovely"
Light and lovely 😂
@@xolovenicole I looked at it again. She was shooting "jealous" looks at the lighter skin girl. And yes I can definitely see why dark skin black women are jealous of mixed and light skin women. It's obvious. That's why black women wear wigs. Because you want what the mixed women have and what the white women have. So your actions speak louder than your laughing emojis ever could.
