I don’t believe Boruto will actually die. From the beginning of the anime, Boruto himself is narrating the story, and right after the prologue with him and Kawaki fighting during the timeskip, he even says, “this happened several years later.” That line hints that he survives at least up to that point, making it unlikely he dies. Plus, we see him fighting Kawaki using karma, suggesting that Momoshiki’s power might have fully merged with him by then. And honestly, Kawaki shouldn’t be the one to kill Boruto. Sasuke should, if it ever came down to it, especially with everything they’ve gone through together in Boruto Part One and now in Boruto Two: Blue Vortex. Their bond runs deep, so if anyone had to be the one to end Boruto’s journey, it would make sense for it to be Sasuke. But in my ideal scenario, Boruto would survive and actually be the one to kill Kawaki. It would create a powerful parallel to Sasuke’s story-just like Sasuke ended up killing Itachi, Boruto would kill Kawaki. Except this time, Kawaki would absolutely deserve it.
I get that Boruto dying is a possibility, but honestly, I just don’t see it happening. And if it did, I think Kawaki should absolutely die, too. Otherwise, I feel like the fanbase would seriously backlash. Even though things look dark and uncertain in Boruto Two: Blue Vortex, I have faith that Boruto, like Naruto, can fight against the odds and bring some sort of justice back-though maybe in a darker way than Naruto did. But personally, I hope it ends with Boruto killing Kawaki. If all else fails, that would at least feel right.

i just had a thought of why boruto's karma situation is so much worse than we may have thought originally. lets think of the narrative so far, "Boruto Uzumaki" doesn't exist anymore in (most) peoples memories, "Boruto Uzumaki" genetically doesn't exists anymore (he is a full Otsutsuki now and specifically being about %82 Momoshiki) and if Momoshiki were to take over, "Boruto Uzumaki" doesn't exists consciously/spiritually anymore. Towards the end of part 1, he and Momoshikis conscious are starting to overlap with one another, as he beumes a full Otsutsuki following his death and being brought back. He felt this "melding" 2 years ago when he used his karma and said "never again" this could also be how Momoshiki could "resurrect" in Boruto still, though not the intended way. It's not his original body, but it is genetically, and through karma, he and Borutos conscious meld into 1 and (as of now) Momoshikis conscious is stronger than Boruto's. It would be a "new" consciousness altogether, but operates just like Momoshiki would (or it could be like Boruto becoming a part of Momoshiki's conscious) because his traits would be dominant. That's Boruto's current predicament with karma, it would be the final nail in the coffin for "Boruto Uzumaki" as he would no longer be "himself". It's the ultimate death of self. That's also why Sasuke or Kawaki killing Boruto (when they could/can) would be important to him, he would still be "himself" or it would be quick enough to not make him suffer for long.

I think that Naruto being forced to kill own child would be extremely sad, Sasuke killing him would also be very sad. Kawaki killing him would be the least emotional one in my opinion. Not sure which one to go with on that one. I also highly doubt that he is going to die, although it's not impossible. Because he is the MAIN CHARACTER and this is an anime.
Sasuke. After losing his entire clan & seeking vengeance for years he dedicated a decade+ of his life away from his new family to protect the world from the Ohtsutsuki threat. Then Momoshiki eliminates his Rinnegan & torments his student for years. Furthermore, he already took on the responsibility to kill Boruto if needed.
Honestly I feel like Momo will get out a couple times giving kawaki his shine to try to kill bourto but I think when they free Sasuke he’ll see momo again at some point n shit will go down. What if Code was the one who taught Boruto to control Karma? Hear me out: An alliance between the two has been teased before, and Code once commented to Boruto that he lacked control of Karma. Boruto also seems to have some control over himself by the time him and Kawaki face off.
It would make more sense at least for us og fans for Sasuke to do it but story wise it has to be Kawaki. I’m personally of the mindset that when Kawaki suggested Boruto put a karma on Code or someone in order to revive was not a throw away line, I think we will come back to that but not in the way we think. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Momoshiki does eventually accept his fate and just merges with Boruto willingly and they just coexist
I also think Boruto may be able to repel Momoshiki from his body himself using the Jougan. If I can recall correctly, part one Boruto showed that the Jougan could see evil intentions or spirits. Maybe one of Jougan's ability might be purging or diminishing such things or even be a counter-attack for the othutsutsuki (like kryptonite is to Superman). So that can be a way Momoshiki gets suppressed or something.
Imagine being Naruto and the man you consider your bestfriend has tried to kill you numerous times once on your birthday has tried to kill your friends numerous times and tried to subjugate all the tail beast and villages you just worked your ass off saving you forgive all of that and this man years down the line repays you by killing your son💀💀

There’s another route the story can go actually. The Minato one-shot shown us that other people can enter someone’s “inner world” (idk what it’s actually called) and battle entities within them. But it takes a connection which is a principle of ninshu; something Kawaki would know nothing about. You know who does though? Naruto. I think Naruto will be involuntarily unsealed and reveal that he knows the solution.

I don't think boruto will die in the end (maybe temporarily but not permanently). Regarding who will kill or try to kill him, Kawaki makes the most sense because he is the new character, unlike naruto and sasuke, and it would be easy to have him kill boruto after boruto regains everyone's trust but was no longer able to control momoshiki. Boruto tbv seems to be taking a "darker" turn compared to naruto shippudden and it is possible that kishimoto might use boruto to implement ideas he had for naruto but wasn't able to do because of editors and studio pierrot executives and producers. Killing boruto would make it a tragic story, but it would upset shonen jump and studio pierrot executives and producers and the guys that read shonen and seinen series because that would mean that other than naruto, unless kawaki is forgiven and still kept alive and accepted into the uzumaki family (and we don't know if he has the high amounts of chakra a person with uzumaki blood has), the only other people who can keep the uzumaki name and try to revive the clan are karin and himawari (both female characters and they don't want a female character (especially a main female character) that keeps her clan name while her male partner takes her clan name and has a kid who could be the main character of a series). They might try to do something similar that fruits basket did, where they thought there was no way to get rid of a curse (one of the characters in frutis basket having 2 curses) but eventually discovered how to get rid of it. Or they might do something to sailor moon, where they imply that the scouts are destined to be sailor scouts and fight villains for the rest of their lives until their death,or like akatski no yona, where the characters are stuck with their curses for the rest of their lives and figure out how to live with them - have boruto bond to momoshiki for the rest of his life. Or they might have momoshiki eventually change his mind and sacrifice himself or leave boruto's body while leaving boruto alive but powerless - similar to what happened in ayashi no ceres (and somewhat to a certain extent, karin (known as chibi vampire in the usa)). Just have to wait and see how the series goes.

I'd love a Pierrot Films seasonal readaptation of Boruto, Naruto and Bleach. I believe a seasonal format would allow the storyboarders, animators, musicians and voice actors to really flesh out such nuances and bring them to the forefront. The visual storytelling with proper care can elevate the already amazingly rich stories and expand upon all the important elements that are core to the story. If they'd get the treatment anywhere close to JJK season 2 and Bleach TYBW, it would be glorious.
I think on a mental level Boruto has made steps. Pre-timeskip Momoshiki was seen and than only feeling of him. Against kawaki when he activated karma he almost appeared till boruto ran. I think he's close and maybe the development of jougan will seal him. About who is right: yes Momoshiki is a threat but like with Sasuke and Naruto we learnt what happened if you don't kill someone but give them a chance. I believe Boruto can work it out. After all he's a son of Naruto. Momo and him might find a compromise like Eddie Brock and venom. But if he were to go awol i think Sasuke should kill him. A repayment to keeping him from the dark. Or we take a page from shikakus/kakashi's book and let the boys fight it out themselves.

i just had a thought of why boruto's karma situation is so much worse than we may have thought originally. lets think of the narrative so far, "Boruto Uzumaki" doesn't exist anymore in (most) peoples memories, "Boruto Uzumaki" genetically doesn't exists anymore (he is a full Otsutsuki now and specifically being about %82 Momoshiki) and if Momoshiki were to take over, "Boruto Uzumaki" doesn't exists consciously/spiritually anymore. Towards the end of part 1, he and Momoshikis conscious are starting to overlap with one another, as he beumes a full Otsutsuki following his death and being brought back. He felt this "melding" 2 years ago when he used his karma and said "never again" this could also be how Momoshiki could "resurrect" in Boruto still, though not the intended way. It's not his original body, but it is genetically, and through karma, he and Borutos conscious meld into 1 and (as of now) Momoshikis conscious is stronger than Boruto's. It would be a "new" consciousness altogether, but operates just like Momoshiki would (or it could be like Boruto becoming a part of Momoshiki's conscious) because his traits would be dominant. That's Boruto's current predicament with karma, it would be the final nail in the coffin for "Boruto Uzumaki" as he would no longer be "himself". It's the ultimate death of self. That's also why Sasuke or Kawaki killing Boruto (when they could/can) would be important to him, he would still be "himself" or it would be quick enough to not make him suffer for long.

I think that Naruto being forced to kill own child would be extremely sad, Sasuke killing him would also be very sad. Kawaki killing him would be the least emotional one in my opinion. Not sure which one to go with on that one. I also highly doubt that he is going to die, although it's not impossible. Because he is the MAIN CHARACTER and this is an anime.

It would make more sense at least for us og fans for Sasuke to do it but story wise it has to be Kawaki. I’m personally of the mindset that when Kawaki suggested Boruto put a karma on Code or someone in order to revive was not a throw away line, I think we will come back to that but not in the way we think. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Momoshiki does eventually accept his fate and just merges with Boruto willingly and they just coexist
I also think Boruto may be able to repel Momoshiki from his body himself using the Jougan. If I can recall correctly, part one Boruto showed that the Jougan could see evil intentions or spirits. Maybe one of Jougan's ability might be purging or diminishing such things or even be a counter-attack for the othutsutsuki (like kryptonite is to Superman). So that can be a way Momoshiki gets suppressed or something.

I think Sasuke won't kill Boruto because of Sarada. She will probably tell Sasuke how she could have been the one with karma and that he could never kill her then (Sakura would stop him). Sasuke will also think about how Naruto would feel and his brotherly bond with him. Naruto would never kill Sarada, his best friends' daughter (Sakura too), if Sarada had the karma so Sasuke will probably look for another solution (He definitely thought abt it in the timeskip).
I just think Amado, Kashin Koji, or Toneri might be able to do something with Momoshiki. IDK how. Bets on Toneri and Kashin Koji tho (them being able to see the future and being othutsutsuki, respectively).

Shuiesha wouldn’t end the Naruto IP for anything but if it wasn’t making money anymore. There’s no way we’re not getting a continuation after Boruto of some kind. I don't think boruto will die in the end (maybe temporarily but not permanently). Regarding who will kill or try to kill him, Kawaki makes the most sense because he is the new character, unlike naruto and sasuke, and it would be easy to have him kill boruto after boruto regains everyone's trust but was no longer able to control momoshiki. Boruto tbv seems to be taking a "darker" turn compared to naruto shippudden and it is possible that kishimoto might use boruto to implement ideas he had for naruto but wasn't able to do because of editors and studio pierrot executives and producers. Killing boruto would make it a tragic story, but it would upset shonen jump and studio pierrot executives and producers and the guys that read shonen and seinen series because that would mean that other than naruto, unless kawaki is forgiven and still kept alive and accepted into the uzumaki family (and we don't know if he has the high amounts of chakra a person with uzumaki blood has), the only other people who can keep the uzumaki name and try to revive the clan are karin and himawari (both female characters and they don't want a female character (especially a main female character) that keeps her clan name while her male partner takes her clan name and has a kid who could be the main character of a series). They might try to do something similar that fruits basket did, where they thought there was no way to get rid of a curse (one of the characters in frutis basket having 2 curses) but eventually discovered how to get rid of it. Or they might do something to sailor moon, where they imply that the scouts are destined to be sailor scouts and fight villains for the rest of their lives until their death,or like akatski no yona, where the characters are stuck with their curses for the rest of their lives and figure out how to live with them - have boruto bond to momoshiki for the rest of his life. Or they might have momoshiki eventually change his mind and sacrifice himself or leave boruto's body while leaving boruto alive but powerless - similar to what happened in ayashi no ceres (and somewhat to a certain extent, karin (known as chibi vampire in the usa)). Just have to wait and see how the series goes.

I'd love a Pierrot Films seasonal readaptation of Boruto, Naruto and Bleach. I believe a seasonal format would allow the storyboarders, animators, musicians and voice actors to really flesh out such nuances and bring them to the forefront. The visual storytelling with proper care can elevate the already amazingly rich stories and expand upon all the important elements that are core to the story. If they'd get the treatment anywhere close to JJK season 2 and Bleach TYBW, it would be glorious.
I think on a mental level Boruto has made steps. Pre-timeskip Momoshiki was seen and than only feeling of him. Against kawaki when he activated karma he almost appeared till boruto ran. I think he's close and maybe the development of jougan will seal him.
About who is right: yes Momoshiki is a threat but like with Sasuke and Naruto we learnt what happened if you don't kill someone but give them a chance. I believe Boruto can work it out. After all he's a son of Naruto. Momo and him might find a compromise like Eddie Brock and venom.
But if he were to go awol i think Sasuke should kill him. A repayment to keeping him from the dark. Or we take a page from shikakus/kakashi's book and let the boys fight it out themselves.
