I'm the first one to poo-poo asphalt commandos who never take their rig off-road. But, damned if I would have the cajones to even take this work of art out in the rain! Just amazing.
I was the first person to drive one at Ft Bragg NC. One prototype from the 3 different builders had to be tested for airdrop and lapes. I went to get them at the railyard and being a Jeep type soldier I thought they were huge.
Wow, Wow, Wow! It's all I can say. Simply the best build I have see, EVER. An absolute Masterpiece. Judging by all the other comments I'm reading it looks like I'm not alone in my opinion of your build. You just earned another sub from me. @@DC-zc9pg Thanks DC. I'm checking out the listing. True attention to detail. I know you've done a couple of these... what type of buyers are you finding and are they meeting the price targets you have set?
@@DC-zc9pg Thanks for reaching back out - to be honest my inbox has been overtaken so I'm sure you emails are in the mix...I could look at your project Pics all day. The detail is 100% unreal and look like life size model cars. I'm not a huge fan of the M1167 frontend/hood. always been a fan of the original 998 front style when the lights are on the hood. Have you ever considered doing custom Projects and a non traditional build? I still think you would do very well if you created a youtube series documenting a restoration. Maybe generate some add revenue and it would create a funnel from potential buyers.
Hey! I love your build! In a couple of months I will be buying a M1123 of my own and was wondering what light you used on the top of your rig? I’ve search low and high across the internet and can’t seem to find a light light that 360 one on your roof there.
This is really impressive, first video of yours I'm seeing. I have an H1 wagon I purchased that I'm about to start working on. So much detail went into this. It looks like you did a full body/off frame restoration. How long would you say it takes you, start to finish on a project like you're showing off here in the video? Def hitting the sub button and looking at your other vid's.
Thanks for the comment and congratulations on the H1 wagon purchase it sounds like a fun project! My restorations usually take about 8-9 months depending on the vehicle condition. Have fun with your project..
As A USMC Of 28 Years, Here's Everything That's Not Right.....HAHAHA! Just Kidding! This Is The Most Pristine, Perfect Immaculate Legit M1123 I've Ever Seen! I Love It! Thanks For Posting Sir!
This is JUST OUT OF THIS WORLD. This is AMAZING. What a beauty My dream. I am saving and pretty soon ill have my Humvee. CONGRATULATIONS THIS ONE IS A MASTER PIECE.
Anyone who has spent more than a day in the military knows what a POS the humvee is but this man sure did a good job shining up a terd. But they are a hell of a lot better than having to ruck it everywhere. I was a 19d cavalry scout so i spent 1/2 my time on a humvee and the other on a Bradley for both of my deployments
Even equipped with a Solargizer battery maintenance system. Someone went the extra mile to build up this vehicle but I don’t know of many USMC vehicles with all of these bells and whistles. Gold Dot is nice but way too intrusive into valuable space inside the vehicle. There is another company producing an AC / Heating system that replaces the heater box up front. All in all as they say "TWO THUMBS UP, GREAT RIDE!"
I would like to know the color of green used on the main body and where was it sourced from. I am also a collector. Thanks. Great job the best I have ever seen period in 60 years.
@@leogoldberg3425 yes! I was in Boda at the Norwegian Air command station there. Went to the port where I was in charge of embarkation for vehicles on the USS American Eagle.
This is a very nice build! Do you go through the mechanics (engine, hubs, electronics, etc) yourself, or do you send that work to someone else? Im looking at an M1123 and learned that the bolt holding each wheel to the hub has to be checked. Thanks for sharing!!
Hi, I do all the work myself. Thanks for the compliment on the rig. It was a lot of fun to build! It sounds like you have a fun project ahead of you with the M1123.
@@DC-zc9pg Hey thanks. I don't have it yet, going to look at it next week. I don't know where you find all the odd bits that finish off your builds. It's really amazing.
If company makes it like jeep wrangler or ford bronco luxury with car like perfectly fitted doors ,plastic rooftop and luxury inside then it would sell record breaking.
Don't take this as critical because you did a GREAT job on this truck but just some observations. Your ground wire is wrong on the antenna, a first aid kit does not go behind the driver's seat a triangle "road flare" kit does. Your rifle mounts are mounted backward, the spring/moving part side goes towards the door. I like what you did with the "radios" interesting concept.
Very clean, nice paint. I would put some fuel instead of the water in the cargo areas. That spare tire does not look real, and what’s the Tow missile’s doing the cargo area ?
Hi Mike, I purchased them from a surplus auction but I have seen them on ebay. FYI out of the 10 new units I purchased only 3 were functional. I had to make the cables and control box.
