Great news, but I really wish they brought back some of the fictional road and city street tracks from GT4. That game had arguably the best track section ever created in a racing game. It had so much variety.
Yeah, but are people going to accept layout or complete environmental changes to those tracks? I mean, I don't see how they could make Autumn Ring FIA compliant like Deep Forest or Trial Mountain, but I could also see Special Stage Route 5 redesigned to resemble Los Angeles instead of Tokyo. Speaking of Tokyo, there's a possibility of Tokyo R246 being reworked into a Silicon Valley circuit, just so that the Sony HQ easter egg can remain accurate to its real world location. The old Sony HQ building has been demolished for years now.
@X2011racer there are multiple versions of existing tracks, so I think the best thing they could do is make modernized tracks as well as add classic versions of said tracks. I feel like everyone would be happy there.
i totaly agree, such legendary track needs to come back, it's a must, as well as special stage R11 and even seattle but also the track creator, as long Poly dosen't add those tracks and features that got removed, i will never go back on GT
I knew it! I knew that Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is coming to GT7! It's been a year since we got a tarmac track, and it's been 7 months since we got Lake Louise in the Spec II update!
@@truckercowboyed2638, I took a look at the North America map, and you're right. There is room for Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. My fingers are crossed for the track.
Most important to me is an overhaul to Sport Mode. New content is great ofc, but PD need to learn to start PROPERLY using what they have. They have grossly underutilised the weather, night time and more niche cars in Sport Mode.
Always want more tracks on GT7, and I'm glad if this happens. Never been sure of this track on games though same as monza, nurb gp, Silverstone etc. Still, good news 👍
All other gran turismo are still playable today. But GT7 requires a permanent internet connection. When Poly cuts down the servers and switches to future GTs, will they make an update to make the game playable (really) without an internet connection?
As a Canadian I feel that there is a better track to run GT cars on as it hosts IMSA every year. Mosport. Don't get me wrong, having a international known track from Canada added to the game is a great thing and I'm looking forward to it, I just feel that it going to be a frustrating experience for the lower ranked drivers as there is very little room for mistakes. Mosport is more forgiving as it offers more run off space. Unfortunately it's not a F1 track and dose not get the international attention. Just a dream that I have.
I wish they would add Apricot Hill. Absolutely had a blast at that track in the endurance race on GT3. Or Estoril from moto gp ‘08 which is of course never going to happen.
Imagine adding a current gen F1 car as the Gilles Villnueve update, maybe a SF75 or a RB19 cause first, they added allot of Ferrari F1 cars before and second, i they still have a partnership with with RB if not they signed with Ubisoft. Any current or 2000 or up F1 car is welcomed. And speaking of race cars, we "kinda" need new GTs, maybe some WRC cars, some new hypercars to battle the mighty GR010, and why not some TCRs? Any new race car are welcomed more than a VGT to be fair tho.

I just not got to thinking. It's been over a month since the May update. This is just a prediction, but I believe there'll be a Sport Mode overhaul/renovation to GT7 included in the update. Again, just predicting.

Forza is trying hard indeed. Meanwhile GT7 is kinda just on cruise control or has been. I’m sorry but VGT and another iteration of the skyline and civic is not what I look forward too when theirs so many cars and or tracks to add. Like the new Mustang? Golf R? Maybe even add some N cars from Hyundai?

They should rework the DAILY RACES... I have no idea why there is one race for each category for whole week... Somethimes I dont play for 3 weeks because there is track that I dont enjoy to play more than once or twice a day...
Honestly, I bought a Fanatec setup and a Sim Lab P1-X Pro with the intent to race Xbox and PS5. Decided to get a PC to race ACC and iRacing. I rarely play GT7 now. Go PC. You won’t regret it. They said, if you could play GT7 on triples on the PC I’d play way more.
I wish they would bring back the Seattle circuit. I absolutely love that track for the crazy steep roads that acts like ramps and gets your car airborne
To be clear fm Tracks has just been recycled from previous games, most of gt7 tracks has been brand new, but i do agree their needs to be a new track now in july witch i think it will be and with 5-7 cars and sophy ai upgrade hopefully witch would make sense as they reveal the update on a live event witch should mean its a big one.
Gilles Villneauve? Sure, this track is iconic. But at the and it's just two hairpins paired with four chicanes. I'd rather had SUGO, Motegi or some OG Tracks like Midfield or El capitan
They need to put sophy on more tracks like nurburgring 24h, and allow us to choose how many laps, time progression and time of day, also a harder difficulty, also better psvr2 support make it easier to start the game with proper alignment so u dont have to align after the race starts. Tell your buddy that works at Polypjony 😂 he should pay tribute to the ORIGINAL driving simulator. They should recreate the track from Hard Driving (Atari '89). I think it's time for a stunt track. I used to drive 30 minutes across town to pump quarters into the sit-down version. There's no way in the world Kaz isn't familiar with that game

I distinctly remember wondering how long we have to wait to have a force feedback steering wheel and pedals at home. I think it was about 8 years. @@blkpig6664 I actually started thinking about where this all started for me about a year ago. Found a guy with a channel here that does history of old video games. Turns out, that was in fact the original force feedback steering wheel. The guy that designed it worked for Bell Labs back in the 60s, and had previously designed the force feedback steering yoke and flight stick

Why do we always do this to ourselves. Every time an update is announced everyone start squawking about how big it’s going to be ,with new tracks and new cars, etc,etc, Then on update day we get a stupid VGT nobody cares about and a couple of new crap scapes. Time to admit that Kaz and PD are no longer interested in any real support for the game. GT7 is quickly going the way of Sport. Fortunately there are a few good sims coming out in the near future. If Kaz and PD don’t get off their backsides soon, the franchise will be gone. GT7 and Kaz are only interested in the tournaments and the championships because they earn money. Kaz has really ruined what was a great sim. Time for Kaz to step aside and let someone who knows what they are doing and what the community would like to see take over.

IMSA association has been there a while. Why the Lexus and Ford GT Gr3 have IMSA team liveries. Probably why Watkins, Atlanta,and Daytona were added. More content that is IMSA derived is great! Although, I'd like Motegi. The GR cars are far too old, and do not represent the manufacturers well at all. How much that is a PD problem is highly debatable.
I'm with you. I just don't get the present and future focus of the game. When ever Kaz does speak up its nonsense. I purchased the original and 2nd gen xbox. I just can't pull the trigger to buy xbox games again. I've had an xbox x since its release. Currently have 0 games for it. Seriously considering Forza because Im fed up with GT and their silly races, lack of modern GT3 vehicles, sparce track offerings and cringe worthy events.
I made the switch in October of last year, been a ps guy all my life. Forza just buries GT so hard as a racing game it's not even funny. Better AI, better physics, better tuning. Proper multiclass. Rain/time on all tracks. Actual classed cars It feels like GT is made for Sony tech guys and FM is made for car guys and racers.
Let's face it, it isn't what it used to be. The game has long since peaked. It was a game which appealed to the masses for the vast amount of modern and classic road cars that you could also tune and drive on a variety of road/city/race circuits. The race cars were obviously nice to have, especially legendary ones, but they are not what appeals to the masses. Due to the focus on race cars and race circuits over everything else, the series popularity has been on the decline and will continue to do so, unless they go back to what it was before GT Sport. I'd choose an update with something like a Nissan Primera 2.0, a Ford Mondeo and a Peugeot 205/206 GTi over 3 more generic GT3 cars anyday, as would 95% of people...
What are polyphony doing seriously. This is the gran turismo with the least content ever. Don’t tell me game dev takes time they’ve had plenty and a kajillion dollars. Wow 3 trash cars a month and a new track maybe every year so they care about us soo much. Every gaming genre is so ass Jesus.

You are trippin. Gt7 has more tracks than any other modern racing games. Gt7 is far from the worst. Single player is bad yes but so is it in pretty much any racing game nowdays
Polyphony is getting too comfortable. Hopefully, the increasing competition will push them to actually put decent work into gt7 and act on community feedback
if it isn't the 499p it will still be a total disappointment now the Ferrari 499p arrives again at Le Mans after 50 years and wins straight away so GT7 would be nice to honor them and put it in the game
For me the perfect game should be like gt7 but it being as moddable as assetto corsa amd having beamng's physics, that would be the ultimate simracing game, because gt7 lacks the moddability, Assetto corsa lacks the customization like liveries you can instantly do without any problem or the possibility to bring any car to an online lobby, And beamng lacks the graphics and the licensed brands
Ditch the horrendous EV's and rally/rally x . Concentrate on the great things about GT7. The race cars and tracks. Forget the road cars. Nice as they may look, who uses the Toyota Crowns etc for fun ????
Friend, I know you know the Ward series drivers, and I've also spoken live to some of them, and I can tell you that Gran Turismo will not improve GT7's sport mode. We all know that Gran Turismo Sport has grown thanks to the community. When GT7 came out, they promised that to the Ward series drivers, but they didn't do anything, and their drivers are fed up and don't expect anything anymore, the games were done backwards. People play other games around me. Now if they add a new circuit it is so that people are happy, nothing more than they are not interested in the sport mode of Gran Turismo 7 they only want the marketing of the game

Great news, but I really wish they brought back some of the fictional road and city street tracks from GT4. That game had arguably the best track section ever created in a racing game. It had so much variety.

Yeah, but are people going to accept layout or complete environmental changes to those tracks? I mean, I don't see how they could make Autumn Ring FIA compliant like Deep Forest or Trial Mountain, but I could also see Special Stage Route 5 redesigned to resemble Los Angeles instead of Tokyo.
Speaking of Tokyo, there's a possibility of Tokyo R246 being reworked into a Silicon Valley circuit, just so that the Sony HQ easter egg can remain accurate to its real world location. The old Sony HQ building has been demolished for years now.

Most important to me is an overhaul to Sport Mode. New content is great ofc, but PD need to learn to start PROPERLY using what they have. They have grossly underutilised the weather, night time and more niche cars in Sport Mode.
Hopefully they do something to make the daily races more interesting each week!
Always want more tracks on GT7, and I'm glad if this happens. Never been sure of this track on games though same as monza, nurb gp, Silverstone etc. Still, good news 👍
The video update has been out...its Eiger Nordwand and six new cars include the Gallardo..
All other gran turismo are still playable today. But GT7 requires a permanent internet connection. When Poly cuts down the servers and switches to future GTs, will they make an update to make the game playable (really) without an internet connection?
As a Canadian I feel that there is a better track to run GT cars on as it hosts IMSA every year. Mosport. Don't get me wrong, having a international known track from Canada added to the game is a great thing and I'm looking forward to it, I just feel that it going to be a frustrating experience for the lower ranked drivers as there is very little room for mistakes. Mosport is more forgiving as it offers more run off space. Unfortunately it's not a F1 track and dose not get the international attention. Just a dream that I have.

I wish they would add Apricot Hill. Absolutely had a blast at that track in the endurance race on GT3. Or Estoril from moto gp ‘08 which is of course never going to happen.
Imagine adding a current gen F1 car as the Gilles Villnueve update, maybe a SF75 or a RB19 cause first, they added allot of Ferrari F1 cars before and second, i they still have a partnership with with RB if not they signed with Ubisoft. Any current or 2000 or up F1 car is welcomed. And speaking of race cars, we "kinda" need new GTs, maybe some WRC cars, some new hypercars to battle the mighty GR010, and why not some TCRs? Any new race car are welcomed more than a VGT to be fair tho.
I just want the Formula Gran Turismo to return if getting any current F1 car is a legal complication.

I just not got to thinking. It's been over a month since the May update. This is just a prediction, but I believe there'll be a Sport Mode overhaul/renovation to GT7 included in the update. Again, just predicting.

As for Villenueve circuit...its already been leaked months ago that it had a good chance of coming to the game. As a HUGE fan of Formula 1 racing...im beyond excited about ANY track they use....ESPECIALLY one that hasnt been in the GT Seried yet. Would i like to see Monaco (Cote de Azure) or Silverstone, or Circuit of the Americas in Texas, US? You betcha!

Honestly, I bought a Fanatec setup and a Sim Lab P1-X Pro with the intent to race Xbox and PS5. Decided to get a PC to race ACC and iRacing.
I rarely play GT7 now. Go PC. You won’t regret it.

To be clear fm Tracks has just been recycled from previous games, most of gt7 tracks has been brand new, but i do agree their needs to be a new track now in july witch i think it will be and with 5-7 cars and sophy ai upgrade hopefully witch would make sense as they reveal the update on a live event witch should mean its a big one.

They need to put sophy on more tracks like nurburgring 24h, and allow us to choose how many laps, time progression and time of day, also a harder difficulty, also better psvr2 support make it easier to start the game with proper alignment so u dont have to align after the race starts. I distinctly remember wondering how long we have to wait to have a force feedback steering wheel and pedals at home. I think it was about 8 years. If some of these guys could really experienced just how far we've come...

Turns out, that was in fact the original force feedback steering wheel. The guy that designed it worked for Bell Labs back in the 60s, and had previously designed the force feedback steering yoke and flight stick

Why do we always do this to ourselves. Every time an update is announced everyone start squawking about how big it’s going to be ,with new tracks and new cars, etc,etc, Then on update day we get a stupid VGT nobody cares about and a couple of new crap scapes. Time to admit that Kaz and PD are no longer interested in any real support for the game. GT7 is quickly going the way of Sport. Fortunately there are a few good sims coming out in the near future. If Kaz and PD don’t get off their backsides soon, the franchise will be gone. GT7 and Kaz are only interested in the tournaments and the championships because they earn money. Kaz has really ruined what was a great sim. Time for Kaz to step aside and let someone who knows what they are doing and what the community would like to see take over.

Yeah gt7 pissed me off a little with its lack of classic gt tracks. Hoping they would have brought some off them back by now

Has too. Automobilista 2 has partnered with IMSA and will have a range of cars and Tracks.
I could see Porsche and the Lambo LMPs being added...... Ferrari may be more difficult to add....
GT7 lost the IMSA partnership years ago. AMS2 has it now

IMSA association has been there a while. Why the Lexus and Ford GT Gr3 have IMSA team liveries. Probably why Watkins, Atlanta,and Daytona were added. More content that is IMSA derived is great! Although, I'd like Motegi. The GR cars are far too old, and do not represent the manufacturers well at all. How much that is a PD problem is highly debatable.

A lot of that is some manufacturers like Ferrari make it difficult to add cars to GT....

I'm with you. I just don't get the present and future focus of the game. When ever Kaz does speak up its nonsense. I purchased the original and 2nd gen xbox. I just can't pull the trigger to buy xbox games again. I've had an xbox x since its release. Currently have 0 games for it. Seriously considering Forza because Im fed up with GT and their silly races, lack of modern GT3 vehicles, sparce track offerings and cringe worthy events.
I made the switch in October of last year, been a ps guy all my life.
Forza just buries GT so hard as a racing game it's not even funny. Better AI, better physics, better tuning. Proper multiclass. Rain/time on all tracks. Actual classed cars
It feels like GT is made for Sony tech guys and FM is made for car guys and racers.

Let's face it, it isn't what it used to be. The game has long since peaked. It was a game which appealed to the masses for the vast amount of modern and classic road cars that you could also tune and drive on a variety of road/city/race circuits. The race cars were obviously nice to have, especially legendary ones, but they are not what appeals to the masses. Due to the focus on race cars and race circuits over everything else, the series popularity has been on the decline and will continue to do so, unless they go back to what it was before GT Sport. I'd choose an update with something like a Nissan Primera 2.0, a Ford Mondeo and a Peugeot 205/206 GTi over 3 more generic GT3 cars anyday, as would 95% of people...
What are polyphony doing seriously. This is the gran turismo with the least content ever. Don’t tell me game dev takes time they’ve had plenty and a kajillion dollars. Wow 3 trash cars a month and a new track maybe every year so they care about us soo much. Every gaming genre is so ass Jesus.

PD is so lazy, its way too late to save this game... 1 new track i almost a year, its a F.. joke compared to other games. And what about the multiplayer (daileys) repeat sh1t show, rip! worst singleplayer ever, absolut worst GT EVER!!!
Even Project Cars 2 has better tracks, am back on GT5 on ps3 just to play city tracks
You are trippin. Gt7 has more tracks than any other modern racing games. Gt7 is far from the worst. Single player is bad yes but so is it in pretty much any racing game nowdays

Hopefully, the increasing competition will push them to actually put decent work into gt7 and act on community feedback
if it isn't the 499p it will still be a total disappointment now the Ferrari 499p arrives again at Le Mans after 50 years and wins straight away so GT7 would be nice to honor them and put it in the game

For me the perfect game should be like gt7 but it being as moddable as assetto corsa amd having beamng's physics, that would be the ultimate simracing game, because gt7 lacks the moddability,
Assetto corsa lacks the customization like liveries you can instantly do without any problem or the possibility to bring any car to an online lobby,
And beamng lacks the graphics and the licensed brands

Ditch the horrendous EV's and rally/rally x . Concentrate on the great things about GT7. The race cars and tracks. Forget the road cars. Nice as they may look, who uses the Toyota Crowns etc for fun ????

Friend, I know you know the Ward series drivers, and I've also spoken live to some of them, and I can tell you that Gran Turismo will not improve GT7's sport mode. We all know that Gran Turismo Sport has grown thanks to the community. When GT7 came out, they promised that to the Ward series drivers, but they didn't do anything, and their drivers are fed up and don't expect anything anymore, the games were done backwards. People play other games around me. Now if they add a new circuit it is so that people are happy, nothing more than they are not interested in the sport mode of Gran Turismo 7 they only want the marketing of the game
