  • GREATEST BOXING COMEBACKS | Part 2
Boxing is such an unpredictable sport. Just when you think nothing else can happen, a single punch can change the entire course of a fight. It can cause a fighter to remain lifeless on one side of the ring while the other celebrates on the other side.
But in rare cases, you will see fighters who started slowly making a great comeback to win a fight. In this video, you will see a list of fighters who have demonstrated courage and tenacity even after a slow start to knock out their opponents.
If you’re ready, let’s dive in!

6:52 - James Buster Douglas immortal upset of knocking out the undefeated & undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. non other then "Iron" Mike Tyson himself = the baddest man on the planet in Tokyo, 1990 will forever be THE greatest boxing upset of all times.
Douglas held at the time a most respectfull world ranking at the time (2# IBF, 3# WBC, 4# WBA) but regardless, he was a 42-1 odds underdog and ALL people all over the globe that was not elite experts at the time and who had studied both men's preperations (a handfull only that is) gave Douglas no pray of a chanse to win. The narrative was not if he could win, but for how long could Douglas last in the ring before Tyson took him out!
With-out mentioning all details of the fight background including Douglas's tragic loss of his sweet and lovely mother just 2 weeks short of the title fight or that Tyson spent more time partying like there was no tommorow - or got knocked-down on sparring etc.
The fight itself was an awesome performance from the 42-1 underdog challanger from Columbus, Ohio, USA as Douglas was razor-sharp in his punches and with both speed and volume had Tyson eating leather all night long. Douglas's jabs and sharp combinations was just near perfect and Tyson looked early on to have no answers to get back at his challanger.
In the 8th round, Douglas continued as usual to have the control of the fight but became a little to over confident and just enough careless for Tyson to finaly make an impact and that impact is a BOOM! Tyson lands his sunday-punch uppercut that have destroyed so many of his opponents and it looked like Douglas, who fell like a timber tree to the canvas would not get up and beat the count. But Douglas despite being hurt beats the count and gets up. The ring bell rings and round 8 is in the books.
Round 9, Tyson tries desperate to start off where he left Douglas but Douglas 1 minute round-break was enough to gather himself back to focus and so Douglas picked-up where HE left-off before he was down and Tyson got to eat leather all over again.
And then in the 10th round, Douglas muster himself up to finnish this fight and with his devastating combo-finnisher sends Tyson to the canvas for the first time ever in the champ's career. Tyson is stunned and hurt, and really don't realize what has happend gets counted out - James Buster Douglas against all odds wins the championship fight with a 10th round KO!
Douglas is the NEW undisputed heavyweight champion of the world !!!
