You should check out the curly girl method and various styling techniques like super soaking, squish to condish, shmaster, pixie diffusing, and watch videos by deva curl and jessicurl (you don't have to use the products but the techniques are awesome). Your curls will thank you. Your curl will be so much more defined and frizz free and still have lots of volume.

Great tutorial! I use pretty much the same method and I love it! I always start with wet, not damp, hair and it gives me so much better curl definition so I've been able to cut out the curling wand step! It saves me so much time and I'm all about using as little heat as possible to prevent damage.

Thanks for all your tips. I recently cut my hair short to above my shoulders. I'm going to try that replenishing shampoo and conditioner and the other hair products that I haven't tried yet. I like drying my hair upside as well. It helps greatly to get that extra natural volume when my hair is not dried all the way. I'm originally from CA but live in TX. My hsir gets bigger by the minute as well. I totally understand that. But I'm used to having big hair. I like it. My husband loves it. Yours is beautiful. Keep sharing tips. I appreciate it as hair always changes with age & the weather.

What are other ways you style your curly hair when your working with it wet? 2. Do you have bed head days and not style your hair? 3. Can you style curly hair dry without it frizzing out of control or loosing the spiral curls? 4. Is there a way to have nice curly hair when it is very clean? I have natural curly hair like yours and I’m trying to embrace my natural texture these days, but I struggle with not being able to get the volume on top and also the frizz and unevenness of the curls, so I’m trying this for sure:) been using creams and salt water spray, but I feel like saltwater spray dries out my hair and the creams make it too heavy. The struggle is real😅 Do you only use the diva curl foam or do you have any other products to recommend?
