- This is an AWESOME (rare) live version of Lindsey's legendary song ~ Go Your Own Way (my favorite song of all-time)!! This is from Fleetwood Mac's GREAT (February 1977) Rumours Tour Rehearsals. I LOVE everything that Lindsey does, but this song is his masterpiece. This is the GREATEST song EVER made (in my opinion)!! This song is what started it all for me over (30+) years ago!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!!! Over the next few weeks, I will be posting one more (different) live version of this AWESOME song from the 1977 Rumours Rehearsals!! ** THIS IS PART 2 OF THREE!! **
Go Your Own Way is the ONLY Fleetwood Mac song to make it on to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame's 500 Songs That shaped Rock & Roll list!! It is also the ONLY F.Mac song that appears on the 100 Greatest Pop Songs Ever (since 1963) list, which was compiled a few years ago via MTV/RollingStone Magazine!! It ranked ~ #26, which is GREAT!! (However (in my opinion) it should have been #1 or at least made the top 10.)
Enjoy!! ~Jackie (:
Lindsey Buckingham - One of the greatest guitarists of all time!!
Lindsey was so beautiful, he was the best looking member of the band .
Back in the mid-to-late 1970s, Lindsey was hands down one of the most beautiful men on Earth.
Y
yeah, I really love his feminine touch he developed in the 80s too. His short hair, his smokey eyes and make-up, his vocals also very soft and not raw and what one could consider "mannish". He is just so different from all the other guitarists, much more talented and also much more open-minded and expressive. No other guitarist would have written and produced tusk, and I think no one would have made some decisions like making the backing vocals of "Big Love" which are actually his sound like a woman except of him.
But his Kimonos in the beginning around 1975 is great too!
+Arlette Harutunian And well into the 80s. He rocked that glam 80s rock star look like a boss in Tango in the Night. Sadly that is all fans got to see of him in FM because he left he band before the tour started (had to get out of the insane rockNRoll malestorm that waqs part of touring or go insane himself, and felt the band was too out of it to perform at top levle and his expectations)
It was kinda hard not to notice, but I think he free-balled his way through their short Mirage tour back in 1982.
I ❤Lindsey!! His voice is dynamic!!
I agree 100%! Loved this song from the first time I ever heard it, in '77! 😊

It’s not overdubbed. It’s Lindsey’s guitar roadie, Ray Lindsey.
