No logic here to me! I have got one and never use it for anything low because it is too hard on the back. Hip to shoulders only to brush back established trails. I agree with Robin on calling this brush. I call it weeds and grass and use my scythe.
A. I don’t think you are a ranger at all. B. WTAF! For that you can use a sickle or scythe. Why would you waste so much movement, energy, and money on a completely inappropriate tool. It’s like wanting to make a grilled cheese sandwich for your five-year old and buying a 5-star hotel kitchen staffed by Jamie Oliver, and provisioned with a 10lb brick of cheese.
Nice, but that is not really brush. I call it brush when you have woody stalks. For this soft vegetation you could even use a scythe.
Wow, fuck your back up for extra work when you can work your core and shoulders using a proper scythe...

So he doesn’t have to carry a scythe around on trails. I think that’s the point
Ignorance has no bound. In this situation the best tool is a sickle. Not a machete and definitely not the tool you were using.
Or just use a scythe?
WTF is a Scythe?
@@jdee2095 Its a long blade on a long handle. Like the grim reaper has.
You just swing side to side with your hips as you walk along
Why not just use a machete?
Ever heard of a sling
