  • The suspect convicted in the murder of Frank Q. Jackson, the grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 33 years on Tuesday.
Robert Shepard, 30, was found guilty on Oct. 31 of the following: one count of aggravated murder, one count of murder and two counts of felonious assault.
Shepard was sentenced by Judge Deena Calabrese, who noted his extensive criminal record, as well as multiple diagnoses of personality disorders in making his sentence.
Cleveland police say on Sept. 19, 2021, Jackson, 24, was dropped off by a third party near Sidaway Avenue and East 70th Street.
According to investigators, that's when Shephard lured Jackson to an area where he was shot by another unidentified individual. Both Shepard and the other person took off after the shooting. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shepard was arrested on Oct. 27, 2021, near the intersection of East 46th and Central in Cleveland with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service.
According to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Shepard has an arrest record dating back to at least 2010, with prior guilty pleas for assault, attempted aggravated burglary, carrying a concealed, weapon, drug possession, and attempted failure to comply with an officer. He was also charged in both 2013 and 2017 on multiple counts of felonious assault (among other things), but was acquitted both times.

There should not be the possibility of parole. What kind of parents or family did he come from? On his other charges he never received probation. The justice system in the US is crazy.

It looks like he's attending class. You learning a lesson. It looks like he's so involved with listening to everything going on but he's a murderer and they keep murdering. When will we take a stand? When will we start? When will we start standing up in society we got to stop laying down. We got to be known

Probably not the case here but if somehow had he invested 50,000 into a IRA or solo 401k at 10% for 33 years and not put anything else into it he would indeed have about 1 million dollars if/when he get out..
