Good Talk. I’ve been all in on this line since the beginning. I’ve been fortunate to catch everything at retail so far. I hope this line continues. I’m curious to see how the Ultimates line looks only ordered Snake Eyes.

@@Pegwarmers alot of different stuff, Frostgrave, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars Legion. I'm a bit of a hobby butterfly.
@@jamesgreen6877 Gottcha. I painted up all the main characters from the GW LotR line. Ryan was into X-Wing for a while. I used to play that with him sometimes.

To this day the only gi joe I saw at target was Duke.. picked it up because I knew I’d never see it again... went to a GameStop and they had a few more choices.. Scarlett, gung ho, roadblock, and cobra commander.. picked up scarlet and they wouldn’t sell it to me because it wasn’t in their system.. so that was a bust.. ended up ordering most online.. I too pre ordered the snake eyes and timber off BBTS and EE, both the same day and both were supposed to be out by October... then I see so many getting them I’m like WTF? cancelled one of my orders and just went searching for entire lots.. someone had to have a few I needed, didn’t mind getting 1-2 doubles.. found someone on Mercari selling their collection off.. said he was done with the line...had the snake eyes and timber 2 pack, cobra island roadblock, baroness, firefly and viper, Amazon excl. roadblock and redeco Duke which I consider a freebie since it wasn’t in the ad.., $198 for it... cancelled the snake eyes pre order I had and got the whole set delivered 2 days later. I want to pick up most of the good guys don’t really care for baddies much.. unless I think they look menacing or badaz got the Amzn storm shadow flint, lady j and beachhead earlier.. along with original snake eyes.. also got the exclusive but didn’t really sense a need for it so sold it to a guy in a discord I’m on.. we’re all fans and actual collectors there.. tried to sell it to him cheap but he wouldn’t accept said he felt bad and threw in a few more bucks in the PayPal.. sold him a target trooper too... ended up picking it up later when target went with online ordering.. ones good enough for me.
They could always do a battle armor Cobra Commander.. I liked that figure as a kid.. a redesign of that into 6 inch would be cool, make him look like the shredder… also that classified flint figure reminds me of Josh Brolin in Sicario.. got that hard edged take no bs look to him, plus that hair cut is clean
I think fans would enjoy a modern Battle Armor Coco.
I'm not really a gijoe guy, but I liked what idw comics did with them after Revolution.
So I'd like to see Classified take a whack at Rock-n-Roll, Baron Ironblood, and Dire Wraith Storm Shadow 2.
Maybe a Haslab project where we get a Gijoe scaled Skywarp.
Rock n Roll is actually someone I'd imagine would come down the pike before too long.

I now have a fair amount of Classifieds (14, so far). Theoretically, my goal is to have one version of each character released (e.g., I'm good with one Destro; one Cobra Commander, etc), but I haven't yet bit the bullet to go after market for Baroness, Barbecue, Beach Head, or Fire Fly.
@joshua2814 yeah, my butt has rested in the same seat as The AVGN. One of each character is a great way to limit your collection.
im not a collector(yet), but i still found this to be informative and entertaining. Looking forward to more of this, and checking out some of those sweet stop-motion animations.

Transformers are almost just as scarce as G.I.Joe where I live. I normally only see the kiddy toys. The collector based robots are almost impossible find on a casual visit. I would have to go to multiple stores to potentially find one.
Its a distribution issue. The actual number of global units on Tf manufactured is a shit ton, while Classified global units manufactured is very low on purpose. Hasbro are risking very little with the classified line.
With this and Eds Retro Geek out ive got all the toy stories I can possibly want.

I have only seen 2 different G.I.Joe toys at Walmart in the past 2 years. I have NEVER seen one at any Target.
That's what Ryan was saying about the demand is greater than what they stock.
The first Roadblock was amazing.
The thought that went into his modern evolution shows a staggering eye for detail.
He's a cool figure, but but a lot of people were disappointed with the tech-boots and goofy gun.

The only GI Joes Ive ever wanted were the ninjas. I had a neighbor kid when I was a kid who had every Joe and vehicle at the time. He gave me a Snake Eyes for Christmas. I still have him.

People dont want to pay the premium prices for the figures but if it isnt sold at a premium it loses some of its appeal....its a sales paradox.

Last week I bought a complete range viper for $30. Took me a year but I have a long box with raw copies for marvel and Larry hamas ARAH. plus SPECIAL ISSUE 1. Complete special mission plus TPB. order of battle plus TPB. The year books. And the 4 books with transformers. And I have the complete collection with stand collection the art of gi joe from 3D joes. When I head brother talking about V4 snake eyes dude he’s my most fav. And the faceless master firefly!! The red masked cobra commander yall were talking about was the battle corps version. I refuse to go see the new movie but to me if it ain’t based on issue 26 nd 27 it’s not the real story.!! I could keep on but I’ll stop here bros. The vhs tape with the night creeper leader in Egypt. I new the whole movie script by heart as a kid man.

I call BS on the "covid" excuse for hasbro not putting any real waves of classified past the first one. In last two years they have CRANKED out a shit ton of TF and ML in wave after wave, just like in previous years. Take a look at how many were released in last 12 months - dozens of figures - compared to sweet F all in the Classified line and a total lack of any full new waves even for next year. Fairly confident they will can it next year based on the low number of units they have been producing and the lack of new product. 2 figures do not a wave make imo 😀 thanks for the podcast guys. Hasbro have been dropping the ball on the JOE brand for over a decade now.

time they do a classified remake for the previous two movies haha alot of people missed out on them worldwide cos of the delays makes the marketing of the movies to sell the toys pointless
I did an interesting experiment with my nephew who is 4 years old. Over the past 2 months I've been showing him classic cartoons like OG Tmnt,Thundercats,Transformers,Gi Joe,MOTU,Xmen TAS,Batman TAS,Spiderman TAS.
Out of all of them he likes Tmnt the most. Granted he's already aware of who the turtles are thanks to rise of the tmnt and the og movies. I think turtles will always be something that kids can get into way more because it's Turtles and they are ninjas and they fight crime. He didn't care about GI JOE whatsoever, he probably only paid attention for like the 1st 2 minutes or so and quickly lost interest.He was bored 😒 I think this is why the franchise has struggled to stay relevant other than to hardcore fans.
It's just not cool anymore, it was a product of its time and the only ones keeping the flame alive are the diehards that grew up with it. Ninja Turtles will eternally be cool forever because like I stated its freakin Ninja turtles. I want to see GI JOE thrive and become popular again but it's going to remain a very niche thing imo.
And of course he loves G1 Transformers because robots that turn into cars and other things will always be cool as well
Thanks for sharing the result of your experiment. Kids are also used to flashier animation now. I love the old Sunbow stuff, but everything they watch now is higher quality which helps keep their interest.

Pulsecon Zartan comes with all the heads. Some guy on youtube (I forget who) bought a stolen copy from the factory for a review.
Yeah, I know he has all the heads. What I was trying to say (but was wrong about) was I thought they were putting different heads on him in the package so sometimes he'd have is face in the package and other times he'd be wearing a mask. Put that was misconception I had before filming.

GI Joe Classified Series - While I collect the line....it's at my own pace. I'm tired of the nightmare that is is to collect this line and dealing with scalpers. My eye has been eying fan made lines like Action Force, Marauder Gun-Runners, Strike Force Alpha and blackmajor. More fun, less of a pain and keep the more military elements of G.I.Joe.
Gi joe has nothing on sky commanders or centurians. I have many of each but truth be told, you got more fun with sky commanders and centurians

Really enjoyed the podcast, made me both sad and glad I stopped collecting Marvel Legends and Transformers years ago. I tried to pull my son in and he just doesn’t care at all about action figures sadly.

All my target has is Kingdom Arcee (repack of earthrise arcee), Cyberverse Arcee, and a bunch of the one step trash.
A bridge too far,,,,I hate this line for the most part, it has sold because of the illusion of demand created by the greedy vultures, it's the same reason I won't buy so called next gen consoles.
Peg warmers are tye worst. Not just for an adult but we are about to have a son. I want him to be an action figure kid like i was but there is almost no way to collect figures shopping at retail stores anymore.
I think it's a little easier with the kid focused lines. Congrats on the soon-to-be baby

I love how in the open seconds he says “this would sell better if there were more available… even the ones that are hanging on the walls and not selling at all”. That has to be the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard
If people are able to get their favorite character first they are more likely to start collecting the line and buy up the remaining less popular characters. People don't usually buy the Yellow Power Rangers first, but once they have Tommy and Jason they get into a line and buy the whole team. Same with GI Joe. If there aren't enough Duke and Cobra Commanders to get people into the line then the secondary characters don't move as fast.
