I feel like this episodes "statement" is propably the most obvious as being symbolism for society and all that jazz. its quite interesting a clever. also I just realised that the name "the corruption" also has a double meaning, it can either mean physical corruption like all the filth, disease, bugs etc but it can also be seen as corruption of the mind, corruption of power. man this entire thing is so freakin well made!!!!

I really like how the "statments" now are not just about someone's experience or encounter with a fear, but a collective representation of that fear through the eyes of many. It's not just about one person. It's from the 3rd person and about many differnt people. Has a sense of finality to it honestly. And these statements have been my favorite so far. Showing the true form of the fears. Discribed in agonizing detail. I love it!
I love that Helen's best way of getting under Jon's skin is just by saying she's happy he got together with Martin. Jon is totally the kind of boyfriend who blushes and gets embarrassed any time you comment positively on their relationship. Also, Melanie and Georgie are almost certainly with The Dark if they can't be seen. That's definitely the power I'm most afraid of so I'm not looking forward to those episodes.

Well then, this one was.... Very *real*. Of course the fear of the other is ever present in human history, but that combined with the body horror was truly terrifying.
