Helen (proudly): "Yes Martin!"
Made me bust up laughing.
I cackled. I half expected her to follow up with “squad goals!”
yes
Yaaas queen, SLAY 💖🤩💅
-Helen
she was like YAAAS QUEEN
Victim: *Unholy agonizing screams of the damned*
Martin: ha relatable
martin saying that is relatable
Martin season one: "hey Jon i made you tea."
Martin season 5: "its the apocalypse why not go on a murder spree jon?"
OOOOHHHHH so this is why "guess I'll die" is a legitimate way to escape the Buried. By absolutely accepting it all you are giving up hope and without hope, there is no true fear and without your fear to feed on there is no use for you, and you are then chucked outside. It all makes sense....
Oooh, that's true
NO CONTRACT, NO SQURMING! NO CONTRACT, NO SQUIRMING!
Stan that one girl who just accepted a crushing agonizingly slow bus death and lived because the buried just could not
"I know right!" Martin you are the ray of sunshine the worms are wriggling towards
It's been that way since season 1
I actually laughed out loud at that, at work. 🤣
The fact its in response to SCREAMS OF THE DAMNED is gold 😂😂
Omg lmao I need to memorize that as a pick-up line
Yeah, watching Jon smite the NotThem definitely awoke something in Martin. He knows Jon isn't human, knows he's more powerful than ever, and instead of being afraid of him, Martin decides "hey, face your trauma and get your revenge. Some monster hurt you? Go bash it's face in. I've got you." Helen, of course, is going to enjoy watching that very much.
monsterfucker Martin rights
Can't See if someone said that already (youtube broke comment section a little), so I'll say that.
AREN'T WE ALL ENJOY THIS? They are the best. Jon, his favourite boy and his favourite boy's bestie that Jon dislikes. The coolest trio!!!

The "YES Martin! 👁👄👁💅"
*Jon:* I'm horrible vile murderous scum, I don't deserve to live in this suffering world I helped create
*Martin:* Yeah, nope. We should murder more, actually. We should do *so* much murder.
*Annabelle:* **attempts manipulation**
*Martin:* lol girl bye
*Screams of the burried:* AHHHHGGGGGHH
*Martin:* I know, right?
Martin is my most favorite character in all of media.
I absolutely love that during this season where the world has gone into LITERAL NIGHTMARE, we still get these really nice, cute, or humorous moments.
It's a great contrast to make us drop our guard just a little, so the fear gets in deeper
in this season it's the literal apocalypse but somehow we're also getting more cute wholesome/funny moments than in all the other seasons combined
The nokia survives all, lmaooo
As a Nokia user, amen
Those things are indestructible
I was 100% picturing an early oughts brickphone when I heard that ringing 😅
The 14 Fears: I fear no man but that thing
*THE NOKIA*
The 15 Fears: It scares me
I love how Jon has to keep "Martin"ing Martin out of being chummy with Helen
He's just too naturally wholesome and kind!
It's so funny that the season that happens during the apocalypse is the most enjoyable so far. Jon has his boyfriend now and that's all I need
yea its the least upsetting so far
jon literally wet it's martin or the world and i am picking martin

helen and martin being friends to jon's eternal exasperation is giving me life dkskskk
god, i also hate the buried. the imagery in this is so visceral, effective, and clearly understood. the way this season is handling each fear so directly and in such a poetic way at the same time... whew!!
Worm time
Martin knows what's up! These things deserve precisely as much sympathy as they feel for their victims! Not!Sasha asked for it, and she got it!
The one main conflict is, isn’t Jon one of them? He’s just as monstrous, feeds off the same fear, brought about this world, and is just as terrifying to *everyone* else. So, did these people truly have a choice if we presume that Jon didn’t have one? Anyways, yeah, not!Sasha sucks and Jon’s great, but it’s interesting to think about!
Jon only has 5-ish direct victims I believe and, er, non-consentually brought about the end of the world. Considering how he’s also been marked by all of the fears, I think he’s felt enough suffering to balance out any he’s caused (other than the end of the world, which was really just Elias/Jonah’s doing-it’s like saying that a robot that is actively trying to resist the inputs of the controller is responsible for killing someone, not the one controlling it)
I suppose you could say that that robot analogy is also true for the other avatars, but is it really? They get joy out of killing and hurting and harming and tormenting. They don’t resist. It’s evident from other avatars (eg. Daisy, who was going to die before the Hunt took her over) that it’s possible to keep some of your humanity. Jon and Martin are trying their hardest to not hurt innocent people.
This is a really good topic for a moral debate though
@@luxill0s Ha. I have been picturing the group getting lost in the chaos outside of reality and running into certain comic book ferocious sadistic spiritually empowered avatars of guilt--the intellectual ones who were seeking the power of forgiveness, so less violence prone. The conversation I imagine would include an exchange of origins, and discussion on Jon's guilt. Because he feels guilt, he's not really a target for these guilt monsters. They look for those who don't feel guilt, and become embodiments of your own buried conscience. Essentially, Erinyes, or Furies. (Which would be interesting to contrast that one Jewish psychologist fan's analysis who compared Jon to the scapegoat sacrifice.)
The thing is, feeling guilty over something you had no choice in, is a way to avoid feeling guilty about something you *actually * decided to do. Our true sins are rationalized and accepted. Still, Jon is trying.
"There's but three Furies in all of Hell, but in a great man's heart three thousand dwell"
The fact that Martin still talks to the tape recorder is one of my favorite things about him tbh
He got so lonely in season 4 he pack bonded with the tape recorder.
Well, the tape recorder is like talking with his bf so... I would do that too if I was with a bunch of screaming dirt
Me listening to this: These worms should form an union

hey quick question why are all the comments on tma eps so funny
Martin: "jon, would you still love me if I was a worm?"
under rated comment right here, this made me cackle
"Get our murder on!" was amazing but " *Yes* Martin!" had me in fucking shambles.
Losing it at Martin apologising to the "scary mud" for dissing it
martin is truly the most character of all time...
"does he even need you--?"

Severe "I have no mouth and I must scream" vibes from this one
If they didn't have mouths, how could they chew through each other ?
@@Badficwriterit's the name of a sci-fi novel that has similar themes of hopelessness as this episode
absolutely enjoy this character development
Jon, formerly a bitter skeptic and now a priveleged monster: noo I don't want to kill these terrible things I'm ashamed
Martin, formerly a cinnamon roll and now a badass boyfriend: nah murder is actually cool
Helen is, as always, the best
The biggest crime Jon has committed is not seeing Kill Bill
I just realised what I thought was a “crack” on the new TMA logo was actually a spiderweb. Only realised after looking at the logo while listening to Annabelle’s part at the same time lol

ah the worms... i was so sad when it premiered bc i was hoping against hope that my horrible Worm Wife Jane Prentiss was going to reappear :(
Reading the title I thought this would be about the corruption and was confused, because we just had an corruption episode
The imagery of someone being underground, unable to die in the earth, crushed, scraped and worn down until their body is nothing more than a fleshy worm disturbs me to my core
Martin: yeah, let’s do it, let’s go full Kill Bill!

“Worms don’t get to see the sky” what abt when it rains n u see a bunch of worms on the pavement
They see clouds
They don’t have eyes.
From all of tma this episode is one of the most disturbing ones to me, and it is oddly personal?
Like, this one feels like almost the buried itself is talking to you, while in all the over nighgmare-statments it is from the victims perspective. Maybe its still pissed about that time Jonny and Daisi escaped it?
"Kind of wish the apocalypse had some magazines, actually no, on second thoughts. Probably not."
"Seriously, a spade?"
Never change Martin, never change. You're too cute.
martin talking to the burried and tape recorders is so funny and adorable
also 23:08 is so funny Im kdbdksbdls
The Buried always gets to me, but pair that with the squirming worm sounds, and that makes it so much more ✨ _Uncomfortable_ ✨ lol
At least the second time around, I knew what to expect.
An excellent episode. Bravo! 😁
This story left me gasping for air, desperately moving my arms around in open air just for the relieving sensation that I *could* what a damn terrifying story, even for this series, so Bravo
I love Helen and Martin's dynamic so much, especially when Jon is so done with talking to her
Oh Helen, you're my favorite monster ❤️
I love how Martin responds to the worms agonized screams with "I know right?" hilarious
Is... Is Jon taking statements from the entities themselves now?
I love so much Martin's twisted moral compass and witty comments. Jon if Martin says Murder Rights, you have to comply, no other option
I'm with Helen. I'm so proud of Martin rn.
I don't know if we represent the cassette tapes, or the recorder, but I'm happy being Martins lil pet 😊
does martin talk to the tape recorders or something else? when he says i know right
He's talking to the tape recorders, and by extension the Eye
I think he was talking to the person screaming. Just like-
*Angry gut-wrenching screams*
Martin: Ha relatable.
“If it screams it’s awful agony’s to the sky’s like a worm” hmm
The animal lover in me was like, hold up

Martin: Lets go kill bill
John: I haven't seen it.

it sucks that they're in this hellscape but jon and martin bro their interactions give me life
loving this martin jon adventure season
TMA said class consciousness
This is one of those episodes I can genuinely describe as "dreadful."
Not that the quality of it is lacking, quite the opposite. The emotions the story of sam gives me are dread, dread, and dread.
This episode felt so incredibly claustrophobic and despair inducing, unsure why specifically it felt like it had such a strong effect on me but the imagery made me physically recoil. Really well done! Also love the lighter moments, made it a bit easier to reach the end. I love Jon and Martin's dynamics so much :')
Sam really went "would you still love me if I was a worm" horror edition
Idk what y'all's worms are like, but from where I'm from they don't scream their awful agony into the sky that often
I was fine and dandy with this whole episode until I realised Jon hadn't SAID anything to Martin in the end and at first I just brushed it off as, y'know, very good facial expressions. I've been there. but then I remembered the vampires and I-.........well, I wanna see what happens next
hehe worm goes wiggle wiggle
"Get our murder on" Martin your gem a true gem.
And can we talk about how Helen basically Yas queen Martin? 😂
Sam: Would you still love me if I was a worm?
The Buried: I don't even love you as a human
This was existentially terrifying
This episode : *is called The Worms*
Me : This is going to be about the Corruption right ?
This episode : Let's talk about the Buried.
Me : OH FOR FUCK S-
Martin all gong ho about murder; and Helen just cheering in the background! I love them so much.

@@Noah-xc3vd you can say whatever you want. It's a free country
_Boy_ I love Helen, I hope when the world is saved again nothing too bad happens to her
This episode is something else...
Its not just the absolute horror of the worms but the context this gives to all the coffin stories in retrospect? To finally know why it wailed and cried at the rain...what clawed desperately at the uncaring wood and to know what it...sounds like...
This is a nightmare. Not figuratively, literally. This is a nightmare and the fine folks at Rusty Quill have found a way to record it.
I...never drew that connection, but that's amazing
This episode is SO good. I hate the Buried. Describes so much of, er, my situation at work and life, I suppose. I think it may describe a lot of people's, actually. So afraid of trying something new, going outside the predetermined path, even though that path crushes you. You fear whatever else there is might be worse. So we don't dare to dream or dare or try. We just are content to let ourselves get crushed while hoping something better eventually happens to us. The escape appears.
The wailing from u derground is really terrifying
I hope this is real Martin and not another trick. I'm just so suspicious 😔
I hadn’t even thought of that oh no! :(
Jon would probably know, unless the Eye is fooling him, which seems unlikely given the Eye's nature
"yes martin!💅💅💅💅"
These episodes are my favorite episodes of the magnus archives, going through all the entities domains, a raw version of the fear they represent
Oh, worm
It makes so much sense that Helen wants to be friends with Jon since he is so powerful now.
IT'S DRR DRR TIME
NO DON’T MAKE ME REMEMBER
I’m sorry “wormish body” I can’t, this is hilarious to me
My thoughts while watching this:
Sasha’s “YES Martin” was so perfect
They lost the perfect opportunity to name the worm “Herman”
Definition of “would you still love me if I was a worm?”
Oh, Worm?
i would die for martin
Do you think the Eye ever finds Martin endearing? Like "This is the strange man that follows my favorite around. He thinks my power is cool and likes to talk to my recorders :>"
