After I watch these videos, I like to use Google Earth street view to get a feel for the places Danny goes. This town looks exactly like I imagine an older, quieter English town to look. I can’t imagine a better Sunday morning than having a real English breakfast with a large, freshly made coffee at one of those outside tables…pure paradise to me. I would love to go to anyplace (that isn’t city) in England.
can I just say the UK is full of under rewarded underrated top quality servings staff but we have loads of over rewarded overrated big business CEO's - we need to redress that balance - meanwhile have a quality sausage roll and a great sandwich to support those who need to be appreciated
Very familiar to me, Patrington. I remember fondly a romantic occasion there once, many years ago. Places like this sort of HAVE to be good, they don't have the random passing footfall you get in a city. People have to DECIDE to go there and get in the car. It's an occasion and by t'looks of this, one I myself would enjoy very much indeed. Bang on with the sausage roll. It has "sage" in its name, so it needs to contain some sage. This stuffing flavour is the true taste of a sausage roll. Everything here looks delicious. Well done Cakey Bakey Yum Yum! Nice one Danny. 🌟👍
Free houses are independent and not tied to a brewery. My nearest one, The Bell in Bath, nearly closed but was then bought by the punters, it's now thriving. A few old rock stars like it, apparently Mick Jagger has been a few times. It's a cracking live music venue with a very 'relaxed' attitude in the beer garden, if you know what I mean?
Google confirms So when a customer asks for a glass of tap water, can the business charge for it? Essentially the answer is no - but you could charge them for the service. All licensed premises in England and Wales are required by law to provide “free potable water"
Rule 11.7 of the British restaurant and hotel legislation circa 2022 is the following(!)person/persons may not be charged for tap water if they can prove they are poor(by showing the bartender a picture of the house that they live in whilst holding a picture of the daily newspaper from a date within 3 days) (!!) If the tap water is drunk by the customer directly from the tap itself or finally (!!!) if the customer supplies their own tap.
Literally live round the corner from here and smell the food every day and it smells amazing every morning 🤣 been once and it didn’t disappoint. Glad you enjoyed. You should tried the butchers sausage rolls/ pork pies etc. They’re also amazing!
Live just a few miles from there Danny and didn't know about this hidden gem. Must try the pulled pork sandwich. Been to the Newton's fish and chips a couple of times and they are of superb quality and very tasty as well. And yes, as others have said already, and as far as I know; a Free House is one that's not tied to buying and selling their beer from a particular brewery, so can sell pretty much which brands of beer they like.

Another great review Danny. Keep up the good work mate👍👍 ps get yourself up to the New Soho Tavern (Hampton in Arden). Amazing food. A more upmarket branch of the Hockley birmingham chain. Put it on your list. Trust me Danny you won’t regret it👍

Love it when the editor turns cameraman, bit of dialogue goes a long way 👍
Totally agree..no-one cares about the secret cameraman anymore! the editor has great banter tho
Yeah but if back and forth yapping is good than just one guy rambling on
yeah, more interesting when they're bouncing off each other
disagree, much prefer it with camerman
Great service by that young lady. This would make me go back 👌🏼
I prefer editor with you as he actually talks, camera man is boring he needs to start talking like editor does having interaction with you.
The editor sounds right posh definitely not from a council estate 😉
He wants his privacy...he is behind the camera afterall
@@lin90210 He's all over youtube lol, i'm actually now enjoying this mystery cameraman angle tbh mate it's different.

It amazes me when people go into greggs when there's a brilliant local pie shop two doors down
Which charges you 4 quid for a sausage roll😂
And 4.50 for a slice of cake
Can U appreciate them for me, since I live aways in Botswana.

Excellent pips on the shield of the gong people, and a shout out to the father of a little squirrel i once taught to unicycle.
Cakey bakey yum yum was Danny's first words!. 😂

Food looks really good. Excellent customer service too. Solid place!
What a rip off lmfao look at those tiny portions, and potato chips lmfao wtf did they charge for those?
Next time I'm passing Patrington, I'll have to nip in to ' AKEY BAK Y YUM YUM'. It looks lovely.

‘Biting into heaven…’ That says it all. 👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, that looks delicious! It's nice that the cameraman+editor is speaking too.
