    I'm speechless listening to your story because it's as if your telling my story without the weight of resentment or emotion that can come trying to explain it. Thank you thank you thank you! As a wife, this is such a blessing to watch and find courage to keep on the path of transformation because it's so easy to fall back into the same old habits of taking over again and the husband will follow suit naturally right back into defeat. Thank you for sharing!🙏💛 God bless you!

    If you are watching this I strongly encourage you to watch part 2, had me crying for most of it. I'm going through something similar but in some ways worse and others better.
    But if this is your case too God is always there, always working in ways we can't see or predict. Let's trust in him for our future, and abandon ourselves in his will. This is true happiness and peace, and will always lead to the best outcome :)

    The single most foundational message that I would like to communicate is: practice being compassionate and forgiving towards others so that it becomes second nature/an Unconscious habit towards your S.O. and Spouse. Especially where it concerns having conflicted feelings about the topics of relationships, intimacy, love, marriage and the division of labor that goes on in a relationship.
    Most of us have come from less-than-perfect families of origin where doing/saying seemingly self-sabotaging things/words may crop up at the most inopportune times.

I don't know when I checked out but I can't seem to check back in. Father God never conderns me but my husband blames me for our failed marriage, and most everything else . Well be forever but not fulfilled! Well soon be empty nesters ,my world will crash !! I know I'm in cyber space thanks for listening

      Hi Victoria. I’d encourage you to call Focus on the Family at 1-800-A-FAMILY. They have counselors who are available to listen and talk to you about your specific situation. It’s so helpful to know someone is there to listen and provide insight.

      No..I'm in the same situation. It's tough when you have children and with girls, she not taking into consideration we have girls. As a man and a father, I can only show them so much, and feel their Mom should be helpful with other. But it's not happening...I don't believe in being my girls friend, when they need a father more. Praying for you🙏

      Thomas Stewart I just went through a parenting class, and we used the book “Loving our kids on purpose.” I highly recommend you get it and read it. It is a Christian book if you’re wondering, and there are some things there if you apply them could change your parenting, and even how you are towards your wife.

    Thanks for sharing your story. Just bought your book today! Looking forward to reading it and learning and growing from it. I pray that all the wives (including myself) can humble ourselves and grasp this. I have always been a strong, independent person and I know that I have much to learn.

    I think the women's movement have made women stronger, more assertive and vocal with their husbands, but they have to realize that husbands have limits too, that men are not all powerful beings that patriarchy mindset would have people believe. What a strong woman can do is to be more encouraging and supportive of their men so that together as a couple, they become stronger and live out the Gospel that God intended us to live.

      Many men want to lead but are beaten down and questioned or scoffed at like Leroy was.

    How could the “host “ not believe she made that shot ? That was rude . Go back and read their book 📚 you obviously need to .

      He misspoke. I think he meant in regards to not believing that the husband could not also make that shot if he tried.
      I was confused at first by that part too! :)

    What happened to the days when men were men? No way any man should marry before 35 years of age.

    • @Dizzinator2114
      @Dizzinator2114 5 років тому +1

      Historically men have always gotten married younger than 35 and that was when men were men as you say. Today with men not being men as you say they are getting married much later like closer to 30 and later
