Snippet of original, unreleased version of Ride.
This was to be the centrepiece of the Secrets of The Beehive album, but was excluded when the record company took the album due to time & money running out...
...The image in the video is from a Beta studio tape from the Dutch recording studio where the SOTB sessions were done.

This is a great photo. I always assumed the track order of the album Sylvian hinted at would be the same with "Ride" somewhere in the middle and "Promise" at the end (I seem to remember a quote from Sylvian saying the song at the heart of the album wasnt there). But this is a very different track order. Im going to make a playlist on my DAP and see how it works. Thanks

The bass is quite different, but otherwise, I think you can hear a lot of what ended up in the "final" take in Everything & Nothing. Wonderful song.

@@rosskolnikov No that's the 2000 Everything & Nothing reworked version you have in your link, I think Steve is asking for a complete version of the original unreleased version of the song from 1987.
