Great video Johnny! Stoked to try it out. 100% agree with everything you said about Garrett. One of the nicest guys & deserves a massive amount of support! 👊
Hi. Have you tested the Shortstache x PolarPro The Everyday Filter 49mm on the WCL-X100 II (equivalent FF 28mm) to X100V wide converter? I'm interested in whether the filter placed on the wide-angle converter causes vignette in the photos?
@@JHawk One question I had was how green the olive green tones are. I'm not sure if I'd like the green tone but I'm open because I love @shortstache's work
Can I use this filter on my Nikon Z8 with Tamron 35 1.4 ? I have the step up rings 72-77 mm. I bought already but I am not sure if the filter fits? Thank you
Wait so which version do you have? The 1/4 strength black mist? Or the 1/2 strength black mist? Which is the one that has both mist and polarizer? I’m a bit confused to which one to preorder
Be nice if it was compatible with their own helix ones or have you tried something other than standard like URTH? Presumably the screw-in’s should still fit this if it’s threaded both sides?
If I want to buy this on my lens but also want ND filter should I just get peter mckinnon VND 2-5 stop WITHOUT mist to justify it? Do you think you can make a video about stacking filters? or is this filter good for photography only? Maybe I don't know what i'm talking about... Any tips helps. I want this lens as well but was always hesitant on getting ND Filter from polar pro whether if it's HELIX or reg vnd or reg vnd 2-5 stops from them. thank you! My Camera Setup: Camera: Sony A7IV Lens: Tamron 20-40mm F2.8(67mm thread). Lens: Sony 35 mm F1.8 (55mm thread)
@JHawk makse sense. and thak you for the quick response. So I guess my question would be...I can just get this shortstache on my lens and if it's just vloggin I can get away with not having vnd then? Nothing professional on my part. Thank you again and keep killin it!!! I saw your vids since the dbjourney backup rewview days.
@@rioenomotofilms I think you would use this in most cases, “every day” perhaps. And then swap it with the ND only when there’s way too much daylight outside.
So why not Helix? I thought we were ditching threads? I absolutely love the quality, but Polar Pro confuses me with their lack of consistency across their product lines...
@@JHawk ah, I see I thought it came in two strengths, 1/2 isn't the Collab. I see now. Amazon only has the 1/2 in stock at the moment which I think it too much.

My guy. 🙏🏻🤘🏻
Thing looks fire, I swap out my pro mist with my CPL all the time so this seems like a smart pick up
It’s the move!
Bought the two pack this morning! This is my first black mist filter, Im very excited!
You’ll love it!
A few extra examples wouldn't have hurt anyone 🥲
Haha I’ve had it for a solid 2 days 🤣

Just ordered mine! I’ve actually been wanting this combo for awhile!
Same here! Been double stacking for years now… YEARS! This is a must pick up
It’s so sick!
Love this vid bro. Garrett's filters are taking over and its well deserved.
Couldn't agree more bro!
Bangin! Stoked to see the images that you get using the filter.
So fire!! Appreciate yiu
Got you brother I will get one to give it a try thanks for the info ✌🏻
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I also inspired from Garett everyday. He is a hero for me.
Really excited to get mine! I ordered the first time i saw the video from shortache. ❤
Good choice!
If you don’t mind on which camera and lance do you use the filter by the way thanks for letting us know about this ✌🏻
Currently, I use it all on all my cameras and lenses. Especially on the Fuji 100 V like I said in the video!
Great video Johnny! Stoked to try it out.
100% agree with everything you said about Garrett. One of the nicest guys & deserves a massive amount of support! 👊
Couldn't agree more!
im a newbie, do i need to put clarity to 0 when using the filter? they said the mist filter tone down the clarity
No def not
I need this. all filters in my collection are polarpro. great video brother.
Yes you do!

It does not! I have tested it
Amazing 😮 is there the possibility to use another filter on this one?
You could but it’s not great to stack filters
@@JHawk is it for vignetting? I ask for using it with a vnd when necessary
Hi mate! , I have a question, how does this filter work together with a variable ND?
Thanks in advance 🤜🏼🤛🏼
I never stack filters, you’ll get vignetting!
Once my X100VI gets here I’m going to pick one of these up 👏🏼
So fire!
@@JHawk One question I had was how green the olive green tones are. I'm not sure if I'd like the green tone but I'm open because I love @shortstache's work
Great video man! I wounder, how do you work with ND when using this filter on your sony camera?
I don’t, it’s one or the other!
Sheesh! I think I need it! Have you tried stacking your VND on it?
Nah, would vignette!
May have to grab this now 👀
You gotta!
Do you use any specific recipe with the X100V? JPEG or RAW?
Great video BTW!
I have a few custom! I’ll make a vid!
@@JHawk AWESOME! Will definitely be waiting for this video.
I preordered my Everyday Filter. Thanks.
My dude! Was glad to see this one. Thanks bro
Any time!
Will they ever be in stock, on the shelf, ships today, or always in short supply?
No idea I just reviewed one haha
New to filters. So this does serve as an ND filter as well?
It does not no, that’s different!
Can you compare the two options available? I’d rather not buy both.
Def will in the future! Only received the 1/4th day 1 but have the other coming.
Can I use this filter on my Nikon Z8 with Tamron 35 1.4 ? I have the step up rings 72-77 mm. I bought already but I am not sure if the filter fits? Thank you
I have no idea, just check the sizing!
check the filter size of that tamron lens and then buy the filter in the same filter size and you’re good to go
What step up ring do you need for the fuji x100vi lens? I ordered the smallest filter from Polarpro and want to know what the thread size is
Hoage is the brand. Amazon! On my storefront too in description
Wait so which version do you have? The 1/4 strength black mist? Or the 1/2 strength black mist? Which is the one that has both mist and polarizer? I’m a bit confused to which one to preorder
The 1/4th is called the everyday filter
Hey there! What size should I get to fit one of the Polar Pro Mist lenses on Leica Q3? It's 28mm so is there an adaptor for it?
Not sure that specific one but like any see what sizes they have and then get an adapter yep!
28mm is the focal length of the lens and has nothing to do with the filter size. your filter size, on all Q bodies, is 49mm.
do you still use ND filter on top of the everyday filter?
Never stack, it’s one or the other for me
Def want to get my hands on it!
It’s fire bro!
So stoked for this drop and great video to kick it off💪🏻
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
can i still attach the lens cap on the fuji with this one? it looks rather thick?
Yep! Still works fine
cheers! thank you! @@JHawk

Not familiar with that sorry!
Love how you introduced Garrett ! Great content dude ! 👏

Is it a black mist or just a mist filter?
Black pro mist I believe!
Does the lens hood on the x100v still go on with the filter?
Don’t use the hood but I believe so!
it would be great if they made more than 8 at a time. I had to cancel my order because of months of delays
Sucks for sure!
Color shifts?

copped two of these today.

Oh for sure!

I suppose you could but stacking any filters make weird vignettes
