I loved chapter 4 season 1 because it was the closest thing we had to a neo-fantasy battle royale, which we never get in the battle royale genre, and since every other player just wants a more simplistic fortnite, I hope a new game comes our so I can move my interest for fantasy battle royales there

If they remove battle royale, then they’d lose the player base. They’d only have 200k players left, and they’d mostly be for Lego. And eventually people would get bored of Lego, so then they’d remove that. If they remove any modes than that would just mean they’d kill themselves from the inside out.
Bro only zero build has at least 300 thousand daily players, in addition to other creative modes, ranked zero build, party Royale, and a lot of others mode, it is true that half of Fortnite players play with construction or even just construction but many players would play fortnite without building

My thoughts are:
1. Battle royale is only fun for so long, but nothing they add actually changes the way matches play out. You just spawn, kill, move to zone, either die or win in a 23 minute match. Nothing new ever.
2. If they were to remove BR i would never play again because creative is actually awful and until it is fully finished I probably will not play creative often.
3. In my personal opinion, the skill gap is a problem for me. If I could play against noobier players me and my friends would have way more fun. We love messing around with fun items and just goofing off, but with sweats we can never enjoy ourselves. Also there is AI but playing against AI isn't the same. You don't get satisfied trolling or messing around with players that don't have a real reaction. They aren't even real people

I couldn’t said it better myself.
I normally hop on if any of my friends are on but other than that I don’t really find Battle Royale THAT engaging to play. The seasons change but in the end, every match ends the same, unless you goof around (which I miss dearly) since every real player takes each game WAY too seriously.
@@KudaXD I guess. It doesn't make too much sense too me. If you are just goofing around ALL the time then it should realize that more less and you shouldn't be up against hard players. Your MMR should have tanked by now. Unless you are still winning matches. lol.

They will never remove Battle Royale. If they remove it, they will lose a huge chunk of their players
Or let’s just say the game will die because all the players in the modes are br players and over half of all players in any creative map are br players.
I was playing Save The World the other day and I was thinking about how awesome it would be if Epic games made another map using the graphics ,guns, and aesthetics from STW. I mean OG Fortnite was made using Save The World assets...And there are so many unique weapons and buildings in Save the world that would be soo cool in a br.
I really hope they do that one day.
I know not a LTM, but Team Rumble is a BR-adjacent mode that people seem not to play or hate. Even Epic doesn't promote it.
I think we should have disco showdown and 50v50. And maybe some type of vehicle war LTM?

Pre chapter 2 season 6 team rumble was peak tbh. You could legitimately get quests done and still have a good team rumbly experience and some meme stuff as well

the reason why people love OG fortnite so much is because it was simple. the map was simple but flowed nicely. the guns were simple. the movement was simple. it was a simple BR game with a building mechanic, and in my opinion, thats how it should have stayed to some extent. the new stuff is really cool and looks great on paper. new weapons, new maps, new graphics, new gameplay changes, but at the end of the day, this is not what fortnite players want. not to mention other issues currently like the servers being atrocious, the performance of the game overall is terrible, the new movement is pointless and adds a lot of input delay, etc.
I wouldn't say the newer stuff isn't what we want it's just that those iconic items and weapons are being ignored or replaced by cheaper or weaker things. Chapter 4 I think was the best in terms of mixing old with new. I think in another year people are going to look back on it more fondly. But I do understand your perspective as well. There was a nice charm to the simpler times in Fortnite.
Idk I like the new items they add. And I also think some of the old weapons sucked. The modding they added is really cool though
I admit I felt like this since the beginning of chapter 5. Honestly the game needs to evolve but they have to keep what makes fortnite unique but they want to push the game to much forward. They need to find the perfect balance between the old and the new fortnite
Chapter 3 is what Fortnite should be more like. With fun POI’s good movement, great cartoonish graphics, fun items, and most importantly, old weapons mixed with new ones.
Fortnite’s ability to change is why it’s still alive today, if Fortnite barley changed from 2018 it would be dead
But still to this day, br is the only reason this game is still alive and without it, everyone will quit and we know 75% of all players in any creative maps are br players

I agree. Every new season, I feel like “Oh, this is good in comparison to last season. It’s great for a modern Fortnite season.” When I feel like it should be “Wow! This is a great season!”. I feel like everything good these days just appears that way in contrast to something being terrible right before, and nothing is genuinely very fun

As an og player who played this game when it first came out to now. Fortnite has no problem in my opinion. I always adapt to every update fortnite has. Only season i ever hated was the primal season cause the guns were so trash 😂😂😂 but again i adapted. Fortnite is an adaptive game and i like that in my opinion.

@Klarque_Clint that's why alot of people say they miss the "og" days cause it was simple and bland and while that was good if fortnite was the same 7 years ago, the game would've been died. I'm glad the game evolved to what it is now.
I think OG needs to be a permanent side mode (like zero build) so that people can just play what they prefer. It really doesn't need constant updates besides fixes and loot rotations because updating the mode would defeat the purpose of OG and the new chapter being separate. If you want something new play chapter 5 and whatever new modes they make. If you want the old game play OG.
I think instead they should turn OG into an LTM, Bring it back every 3 months or twice a year. Keep it special. I understand people always wanting it in but it would get stale to a lot of players if it's in constantly. However, I understand the desire to keep it permanently.
I'm not a content creator and I can say I'm very invested in Fortnite. I think I love Fortnite more than I've ever loved anything honestly. Fortnite is a magical place ❤️
They were planning to create a open-world game that is basically the place were the current version of Midas is going to to receive more ambitions since "this current island is too little for me."

Yesterday me and my friend talked about that but it was about removing build mode.
I think what they should do is add alternate BR gamemodes like Warzone
Warzone has not just basic BR but also Resurgence, Lockdown, and Plunder
So Epic can add modes like these that also have special maps for these modes (like Warzone). but if not then they can use chunks/POIs from the current and older maps. Like maybe a Resurgence mode in the Chapter 1 desert or maybe a large POI like Sanctuary (from Chapter 3)

here me out if they focused on the gamemode that launched their success and took things they learned from OG and implement it in the core battle royale, keep things simple then it'll be pure hype again

Like you said Fortnite lacks consistency in how it is personally I think that's biggest issue it's good when the graphics improve however it's bad when the artstyle becomes more realistic too it's bad when epic keeps on trying remake weapons that were perfect already Fortnites biggest problem is its consistentsy in identity
i think you have hit the mark with what Fortnite is missing. i say we need seasonal live events so that we end a season knowing where we have just left off in the story. personally i thin that they should have keep the hunt for peely over the entire chapter, have it were people keep fighting over him as he remembers everything from out side the loop just like jones. we need the chap 1 map back, we need a loot pool that doesn't leave the game. and take it from me, i know Fortnite, i've never left Fortnite since chap 1 season 2, i have been through every update and change to the game. i agree with what you said in this video strongly and just thought i would share some opinions i have with the game.

Ch3 s2 was so peak ch4 s4 it was fun at first but I mean when we found out about the next season being OG we wanted the season to end already most likely to go to OG that's how I felt with ch4 s4 at least
Fortnite needs something like a Tarkov style mode where you stash your weapons (literally any weapon from any season) you go into a raid, get specific items, build up a base but have the ability to have a duo/trio/squad, a "market place" within the mode, and extraction places. Its not exactly br but its br adjacent and I think there'd be at least 20k players consistently... if i had the UEFN chops I'd make it myself 😅😅 but as an official mode it could do quite well... it would work best as a zero build mode though
That leakded "Arnold" mode with dynamic POIs, scripted events, extraction sites, and bosses seem to be a tarkov mode
To be Fair, they made things like snipers and thunderbolts trash because people were complaining, but when they do that, then people complain that it's too weak, so they try to balance it but some people are still complaining. I believe that some of the complaints people have this season (thunderbolts and snipers) are because of the people. Also people must be too dumb to realize that the person with the thunderbolt is stuck in the air and unable to move around and that it's an easy free kill and also easy to dodge 💀💀💀

One thing that almost everyone missed is that if you complete the battle pass you don't actually get the 1500 Vbucks that happened every other season. The problem isn't some of the things they are doing, it's just that they're not telling us about some of these big changes or having quality updates. This season is of high quality but it isn't going to peak like previous chapters did
If they did it kinda like black ops zombies where you did little Easter eggs to get wonder weapons

Another thing to add:
Many players nowadays come from Chapters 2-5 and not only 1. So maybe they should make it so you can choose which island you want to play on. All these islands would be detailed up to the current quality. That way, even more people will enjoy the game.
i now play fortnite as a experience not a competitive money making game which has been done and used already years ago before fortnite battle royale was made.
Rollover loot goes against the main principle of a BR.
Chapter 5 has too much broken stuff that takes away the need for any real skill. Chapter 4 had better general meta, other than the mythic and some exotics
Lets face it, BR is not going anywhere. The player base is way to large to just stop. As long as there are kids in this world, there will be a fortnite. I understand trying to make the game feel different as they evolve, but what happened to the cartoony, silly game, guns, and items we used to get. There moving it to a more serious game instead of what made fortnite, fortnite. Ive played since chapter 1 and ive watched this game evolve into a bigger and better game, but why change movement, why change hitscan to bullet drop, why change so many things the community never asked for. I love playing fortnite, i just dont really understand some of the things they do
I think also they are trying to include other games identity into fortnite without showing or saying they have so they get gamers from other communities to try fortnite i could be wrong but when this chapter started it felt like call of duty lol

I played from the beginning . I stop playing in chapter 2 s 2. And I played some games but this is. Now I play the game from chapter 5 s1
It mainly stems from people who are willing to adapt and change and people who aren’t. I felt like Chapter 5 was nothing like the old Fortnite… but later into the Season 1, it felt similar in many ways. The base game is still the same, just little extras thrown on top to spice it up. I has this same feeling with every other Chapter start too. Bringing OG as its own separate mode would be a good answer to their problems. Give the veterans a simple gamemode where it can relive the base game, and have BR where it’s new and evolving.
Fortnite hasn’t lost its identity. It’s identity is a Battle Royale Shooter that stays ever-changing. This is what Fortnite is, and what people want is what Fortnite was. OG and BR should be separate but together to solve that.
My perspective of these last two seasons: Season 1 got pretty stale, it felt grindy just to complete the battle pass in time. It felt like I was playing Fortnite less because I wanted to and more because I had to.
Season 2, Ive already reached lvl 200 and I dont have to play everyday and thats ok. When I play Fortnite right now, I’m allowed to just enjoy BR and not have to focus and quests and XP. I think BR for the most part is in a pretty good spot right now imo. Im getting a bit tired to hear snipers get nerfed over and over again though
They could bring back the map of chapter 2 or 3 then keep it as a permanent mode then they can focus more on the new open world mode they have yet to release.
Tbh I just miss the simple game we had in chapter 1-2 and even 3. I have lost interest in the beginning of chapter 4 and this season it’s the first time I am unaffected by fomo and haven’t bought the battle pass

Im not burnt out of fortnite br cause unlike some people i play other games like devil may cry, doom, kirby, etc. And i miss the days where it was a simple map and mechanics the sprinting, mantling and sliding is fine but no stuff like weapon mods.
Ive been playing Fortnite since it was just save the world. I gotta say i dont see myself ever completely stopping playing the game. I get burnt out here and there but it lasts for a short time. Whenever i am burnt out i just play other games that i enjoy and it makes me excited to to come back for the next update. I think a lot of the Fortnite playerbase only plays fortnite and it definitely makes burnout happen faster, hit hatder, and last longer. Great video as always kladque!

But yea u inspired me to start addressing issues in the fortnite community so far I have done some like how epic keeps changing the snipers and how the Lego bundles are overpriced (the houses and stuff) and like how epic has sorta ignored rocket racing so anyway ty for the inspiration :)
I really wish I played chapter 4 I quit in chapter 3 season 2 and came back in og season I missed out on so much skins and a full map
I like it but it can get stale. It's fun but they should do what Apex does and swap between maps every couple of hours. There should be the current season of br and a separate gamemode that swaps between old seasons every couple hours or so
What I like about Fortnite as a pvp game is the building and weapons and the island..
I just don't like the way BR plays out. We had much more fun options in LTMs, and Team Rumble was a lot more fun in the past when it included every stage of the game: looting, exploring, doing quests, and fighting.. unlike now where it skips right to the endgame fighting and almost totally cut out everything else. There were some LTMs that totally changed up the game too... Knockout (which had 4 versions, not just the Spy Games Operation one), The other Operation modes too: Dropzone, Infiltration, Payload.. And other LTMs like Takeover, Tilted Taxis, Air Royale, Shockwave, Dropwave, Team Brawl, even Impostors. Most of those have something BR lacks, respawn. Epic has little to no options for someone to play official pvp in anything other than BR. Creative mode maps are no substitute for this either. You can't play on the island, nor can you progress any quests or milestones. Before Discovery, Epic sometimes ran creative maps as LTMs and in those you could at least progress your milestones. but that ended when Discovery came out.
I’m gonna say this rn removing battle royale would kill fortnite entirely. 95% of their player base is BR players. I think OG just needs to be a permanent mode that would help cause if you could play on different maps it could change it up and make it not get stale
If they remove Battle Royal I would uninstall fortnite that's 90% of the reason why I play in the first place.
I think LTMs are coming back to be honest. Horde Rush returns each Halloween, we had the Winterfest one and a cool Floor is Lava this season
But people want more than just one ltm every season. But I think this is just the start of it
Fortnite is better when it’s nostalgic like for example Fortnite OG when we went back to the old map that sky rocketed with so many players playing Fortnite but no there are no LTMs but BR isn’t getting any retribution
I genuinely believe that one of the solutions to this problem that the community is having is bringing back LTMs, people saying that the game is boring and that it's not good during a very good season like this kinda says to me that what battle royale needs is variety, I believe one of the problems within the "Current Fortnite is boring" statement is that there's such a lack in variety within battle royale, there's no other way to play on the battle royale map, not even a playground or battle lab. I think if they were to bring back certain gamemodes like Rags to Riches, Knockout, Shockwave, Siphon or other gamemodes it would significantly spice up the way to play the game because, eventually, battle royale is going to get boring when there is nothing added to the entire thing that spices it up, people will get bored of the battle royale playstyle when there's no spice added to it, that's my personal take on a possible solution to this problem tho

It wouldn't matter to me as I don't really like BR. I do love team deathmatch though, so i love Team rumble and LTMs! Wish we had more! However, your example of removing weapons and modes in halo is accurate as that DID happen! 😅 halo infinite at launch didn't have a dedicated slayer, koth, infection, and more Playlist. Also, some fan favorite halo weapons that were Integral were removed! Like the shotgun or the magnum along with more. I miss the shotgun, magnum, smg, carbine, brute shot, plasma rifle and more! I understand a lot of it is for balance, but I feel they could be broad back and be balanced. Hell or just in casual play! 😅 good stuff, man! Always interesting commentaries!👍🏻

Bro we used to have so much more depth to the game. There were items that weren't designed to do damage to players but make fights more dynamic like bounce pads, rift to go's. The loot pools were also more complex because it wasn't just about doing damage to people in different ways. We had consistent live events, updates every week, a new LTM every couple of weeks. There was just a lot more going on in general with Fortnite. Look at some of the other videos on my channel. I did some deep dives into this topic starting when OG came out.
Yeah chapter 3 was the last time fortnite felt like fortnite
Most of these are totally based, but the augment system needs a rework. It really bugged me when I had something like Jump Balloon for the entire match with no way to disable it.
Edit: I had this really cool idea a while back about chapter 3. Picture this: After the giant crater from the Collision event, what if there was a hole going through the entire map reaching the chapter 2 island. There would be 200 players, with 100 players on the battle bus on each side. Then, players would be able to skydive down the hole through the Bridge and come out on the other side.
(Idk, Fortnite is ambitious but definitely not to that extent 😂)

We should have every chapter as a separate mode so those who prefer OG can still enjoy it while people who prefer chapter 5 can enjoy it at the same time
People play Fortnite because of the Battle Pass. It’s simple, allow people to select which battle pass to grind (similar to Halo) while updating maps, guns, etc. Watch you’ll see numbers peak like OG Season
The shot guns in this new chapter is actually good idk what you talkin bout bout the new shotgun in season 2 is actually one of the best shotguns in Fortnite

11:14 Um, they did recreate ch1 in a modern style with ch3. With old pois being in the same spot, they were in ch1 but yeah i guess it wasnt a TOTAL recreation.
I've played Fort since i was 8(you can do the math), but honestly, it is kinda stale. I think a reason for this is fortnite collabs (my personal opinion), but if you look at any other, have collabs that add new features, not just a new weapon, exmp.cods godzilla event. Fortnite should just increase the amount of events they do not collabs because creative is carrying fortnite for most people(including me). And events are what made chapter 1 what it is everyone would theorise and look deep into the hints, and the collabs would have an impact such as chatper 2 season 4. If you read this thanks
this is exactly what i have been wanting to hear for so long. i love the game and i love battle royal. the whole reason why i loved the og season was because it was simple. they wern't trying to be different, they were trying to make the game feel like fortnite. even with that, i still love the idea of changing the game up. hell i even thought of that idea, making a remake of the chapter 1 island. not just keeping it the same as it was back then, but actully have some of the old locations mixed with some story line locations too just to give the feel that it feel like theres more to the island then just some town. why cant epic use some of the locations from old seasons of chapter 1-5 and make a whole map that has different themes, different styles, things that make the story interesting, make it feel like its a distopian world instead of just realistic

Since Fortnite is a pure combat pvp/survival game. Battle Royale is the main course of the game, and it's not going be removed any time soon.
Even though Battle Royale is stale but the competitive industry and some consistent updates keeps the genre going.
If open world comes to Fortnite, there's endless possibilities to greatness for the game.
I kinda wish fortnite brought back collab ltms or the food fight ltm those ltms were so fun and creative
Honestly I feel like chapter 5 so far is good, I think it’s better than chapter 4 so far, if been playing since OG season 4 and I do believe that old Fortnite like the guns are what we need and then make a map and let epic go crazy, but this is also the beginning of Charlie Wens monarchy and I think we need to be a little more patient, because for all we know they are probably cooking something up right now and if we don’t see it now, we could see it in chapter 6 and could be ground breaking causing Fortnite to feel truly good again

I think people are tired of battle royal because they play it too much. simple. People who say that battle royal is not fun anymore should just take a break and comeback. they will totally find it fun after the break.
The only way to really make battle Royale fun is to keep adding fun stuff like overpowered items and collabs items that also include with overpowered.
They just need more br updates like the Korra could of have more impact than this

Bring back the ch1 map as you said but add many new POI'S to the ch1 map and bring back our favorite POI'S from ch2 and so on bring back our favorite weapons and items including mythics from every chapter and have the new graphics and all vehicles from every chapter and have our favorite bosses return and have all our favorite seasons combined and have vaults return as well this would be a seperate mode for BR
Heres my take epic should end br but hear me out on this they should add all chapter maps as their own modes so while br would not exist anymore players would still be able to play the old maps with the old loot pools and the graphics for the maps would be jow they were during their specific chapter

Bro if people actually think removing br is a good thing they should never be allowed to work on a video game. And i honestly really hate when people hate on fortnite for no reason fortnite is probably the best br right now
In my opinion fortnite battle royal is the base game without it the game woulf fall it feels like epic is trying to slowly neglect br. There trying to hard to push this multiverse. But even now you can see them trying to go away from br the fact that theres no story trailer for it the fact that there trying to make the lobby, the cuztomize tab, and even the item shop multi use for different modes. There's even a battle pass for the other modes and i dont know if its just me but it just seems like their trying to leave its past and push in the future to a point were br could be just like any creative map theres tones of them and none are the main focus of the game. I dont know i might be wrong but i just feel that the game is trying to move into this hip, child friendly, mish mash of racing and lego and tons of random other stuff.

Certified Save the World enjoyer just sitting here with a game that hasn't changed since 2021. Battle Royale's live service model, and the negatives that come with a live service, have caught up with it.
Unlike a game series like Call of Duty, where if the modern Era isn't your thing, you can just go back and play the old games. In fortnite everyone I'd forced to play in the modern Era, and can't specifically choose which Era they want to play.
To me fortnite lost the sense of wackiness long ago the sense of fun, thats the major issue of the game, it got too serious, with too much stuff happening, too much powers, AI's, weapons attachments, POIs with too much props etc. That's not fortnite, okay it can change i accept that, but i think the game lost its identity, the simplicity, the wackiness, but also the fun factor. Not to talk about the clear ping and fps issue/advantage on building mode. That's just my opinion.
If they removed it it would be self destruction since battle royale is what makes the most money on the game

he may be onto something with this, chapter 6 needs to be this, chapter 6 needs to be everything that made the last 5 chapters great while returning the game to its core values
BR is the core part of the game so I don’t think they will remove it any time soon
