Fortnite collabs have gotten a lot of hate over the years, but it seems a lot of the criticism may have died down. People have been loving the new collabs for Fortnite chapter 5. With us getting Eminem, Invincible, and TMNT on the way it seems like anything could come to Fortnite!

I love collabs they make the game better! like us getting in game mythics for anime collabs is so cool hope we get some more in game collab mythics this chapter.

why don't you like collabs? i can see if you don't like the shows/animes we are getting but it makes the game feel different from any other games.@@F-18

Clowns in the comments, collabs don’t help the game, they help make money if I worked at epic I’d make original ideas, that’s how the game started and that’s how it should be, collabs are too over used and it needs to be toned down a lot. If you really love collabs that much your not OG and no one cares. Some collabs are good like dragon ball and my hero academia but other wise they can all kill themselves.

I do love Collabs in Fortnite especially the ones I enjoy! It brings people to the game, coming back after a couple months and playing the game with their favourite collab and new players as well! It can be overwhelming sometimes as well: last for weeks we've had Eminem, Frieza, Cell, The Weeknd, Invincible, Jam Tracks for Fortnite Festival (Lady Gaga, Billie Ellish), Lego, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and John Wick new style! Epic knows their game and will keep doing what the must do! More Icon Skins with Content Creators and Streamers is what we need more of, we haven't had one since January of 2023...

No one cares about it bringing people to the game collabs are cringe and uncreative of course clowns like you would like it
2:49 ontop of original skins coming to fortnite, i think they were also beginning to flex their muscles with original collab skins. The nike skins from Chapter 4 Season 3 come to mind, Airie especially is so well designed that if it wasn't for her shoes, i would mistake her as just a random original skin.

Honestly, I think the collabs are healthy for the game and it’s playerbase. Although they usually do it when the game is less popular, that’s PERFECT because they have the marketing power to let these collabs happen. They can also bring in new items, example all the *24 MYTHICS* in Ch2 S4. But with all that said, Darth Vader can 200 pump Peter Griffin at the same time that Joker hits the griddy and Naruto is cranking a 9 story 46 bedroom hotel, while in the background Thanos and Batman and box fighting. What a world we live in 😂

I think alot of it does have to do with the preference of what gets in. One of my biggest issues w early collabs was how it felt like licenses like marvel were one of the go tos, especially in chapter 2 and 3. They even got into the lore with its own season and comic run (lore being another reason ive seen hate on collabs)
Alot of my hate died down when we started getting more diverse w collabs , like chapter 2 season 5 and all of chapter 4, something i really liked of chapter 4. Seeing people like terminator and snake eyes made me really happy
I feel that collabs really make Fortnite….well, Fortnite! It gives it more personality and ties into the big theme of the multiverse and different realities!

I think the reason why there wasnt backlash on peter is because he's just a meme in general and so many people wanted him in the game
Not that anyone asked but for me sometimes it’s just a little disappointing that Fortnite will be the first exposure to some characters for certain people. But I can also see it being kinda like what smash Bro’s did for me, I never played persona then they added joker to smash, I checked out his series and now I love persona, I’m hoping that these collabs will have a similar effect and more people will check out these great series like AoT for example. At least for the older fans, if the average Fortnite fan (being younger from my experience) watched AoT they would probably be traumatized but you live you learn I guess. I actually have checked some stuff out randomly after seeing it be added to fortnite, I'm not someone who goes "hey it's the guy from fortnite" but it does sometimes show me stuff I never really looked into before (also same with smash bros) I still see a lot of people hate on fortnite collabs and honestly it doesn't make much sense, they usually have 2 collab skins per seasons battle pass and the rest are original skins and someone could say they dislike those original skins but that just shows maybe you don't really want an original skin maybe all you really want is to complain. We get multiple original skins every season for less than item shop price so why does it matter if they release the more expensive stuff you don't want in the item shop? And yeah sometimes they aren't the greatest original skins ever but I think people forget about a lot of the mediocre skins we've had for years just because they've been here for a long time and designing a lot of original characters every season would have to be hard especially with how much people complain about every skin they release
As obscure as it sounds, the Ferrari collab got me into the game. Loved crusing in the car and the girl in Ferrari clothing is still one of my fav skins in the game. Cant wait to see the car back, now as a cosmetic (one day hopefully)
Tbh the more i look at it I mostly use the collaboration skins now then i do the fortnite original skins but ya it's glad to see someone talking about this

The Collabs are the best part of fortnite now, I only really buy stuff from this game, if it involves collabs that I know, definitely want them to keep doing the Collabs, they already have their skins and characters set, with Jonesy, Peely, Cuddle Team Leader, fish stick, bright bomber, Fortnite already created it’s identity, they should definitely keep doing a lot of collabs
Collabs are great! After we got the first wave of Naruto cosmetics, it got me super excited for MHA getting in. Then it finally did in Chapter 4 Season 1 and it was the most excited I had been for a Fortnite collab. Just hoping we get a Wave 3 for MHA cosmetics because we really need some of the villains

Something else to think about is how these collabs in turn make their respective franchises more popular, because maybe someone hasn't seen The Invincibles yet, but saw Omniman and said "Fuck, now I gotta watch it", potentially making new fans of said franchises

@@epikdamage See! That’s awesome! I was a huge Naruto fan growing up and when those characters came to Fortnite, I got giddy and excited that other people get to enjoy it. I will say tho, I don’t want them to stop making anime characters or collabs with anime studios, but I would like to see them done better. I liked Attack on Titan and think Erin looks weird. Same with Goku and Vegeta. Their heads are a bit too big. But they did okay with Gohan and Piccolo, and Cell and Frieza look amazing too from leaks I’ve seen
All I want in the game is Sora and Kingdom Hearts. Some collabs are very lore heavy and I think there is insane potential there.

As much as people hate collabs they never admit the recent original skins have been garbage. I like collabs because it gives me reason to talk about the game with people instead of it sounding like I'm talking about a "kids" game.

I never understood the collab hate it’s always super fun and the collabs directly correlate to how much people usually play, since me and my friends are all 20+ they don’t really care about originals like me and will not play as much if the collabs aren’t good
People saying that their favorite characters are being destroyed because of that are stupid. Its not like them being in Fortnite is part of their lore now, its just a skin, a cosmetic

Yea people always say that collabs are just cash grabs but i don't understand why, a company and a development industry needs to make money, and with epic doing collabs its them just trying to make money, what some people who complain so much about collabs don't understand is that epic is trying to hype up the game or a show or a movie character. (Im not counting singers or icon skins or wrestlers cuz their real people no offense) and i mean thats what i think or they could just trying to show support for that collab, its not a bad thing its actually a good thing its a good way to make money, isn't a cash grab, and their just trying to have fun.
(P.S no offense to fans of April but i just kinda wish she was replaced by shredder since he's probably the best villain in tmnt history at least in my opinion)

The only thing I don’t like about collabsis that they make some battlepass exlusive and I missed out on Optimus Prime when I took a break from the game
I like collabs. They bring in all sorts of fans from many different series to a silly game to play.

ive never cared about collabs, as a kid when i was playing gta i would cosplay as batman and whatnot so a game making you able to actually be them was amazing to me
Gonna be 1000% honest.
Originally I tried fortnite in season one, but I had a horrible Internet connection, and all my friends hated it because of the community surrounding it, so I stopped play it swiftly after.
Years later, I heard they added the Mandalorian... And I decided to try it again, and with a better Internet connection, And I have gotten to at least level 100 in every battle pass since then. Maxing out a few battle passes along the way... The first one I maxed out being the one immediately after the alien one, and the most recent being The recent OG season... I HAD to have that Golden Omegarok.
I definitely say that as collab skins in the bp usually need to be in the middle rather than be at the end

He's not the iconic thick Peter we all know and love, but we're still super happy he's arrived, and a part of the BP so everyone can get him! Freakin sweet! 😍😁👌
I think they need to figure out a different way to do the battlepass because there should never be a skin that shows up that can never show up again. Maybe make the battlepass have an alternate outfit that's battlepass exclusive, but you can still get the default version of the skin in the item shop.
Even though I hate on the game lots just because I'm like that I definitely had my perspective shifted on collabs and have been enjoying them recently. We need more star wars and more music collabs that have to do with my favorite genres imo. Metal, metalcore, emo, screamo, etc.... anyways great video Klarque Clint! Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the state of the game at the moment I always love watching your vids.
as a metalcore artist, if they make a live event of a huge band like INK, PTV, or FIR, i'd definitly spent all my money for the skins and everything

Having a buncha different characters from other pieces of media is so funny, like goku, spiderman, Eminem and darth maul get squad wiped by Peter Griffin is the funniest thing ever.
I like a nice balanced of original and collab skins
Fortnite got my attention when I saw that Spiderman was in the game but it was too complex for me to hop into, then superman was announced and I had the same issue, by the time I really decided to play I came to the realization that I will never get spidey or the man of steel who is my number one favorite hero of all time but. Im still playing while hoping they they sell us those skins for a high price that I and many others would pay since we didn't grind for them when they were available.
the Collabs are great its just that it feels like fortnite just makes collab skins more then their own custom skins. The battle pass has fortnite made skins but it still has a few collabs in it. The item shop feels to me like it just has collabs in it and they only bring back old skins not new custom skins.
personally, i know that i have to accept that theres gonna be Collabs, but that does not mean i cannot still dislike or hate a Collab.
like, theres one season of fortnite that ruined fortnite for me, which was chapter 2 season 4.
i HATE that season with all my passion! That season was the first season in quite a few where i did not get tier 100+, that, and the fact that i played less and less due to it

Collabs in Fortnite is the reason I started playing I started in chapter 2 season 2 and got Deadpool in the battle pass I know a lot of people want him but can’t get him since he was exclusive to the battle pass
Original skins haven’t wowed me in years. I’ve been maining my favorite original skins from chapter 1. It’s hard for me to purchase an original skin knowing I won’t be using them as much.
Collabs are really the only reason I play the game these days, and I’ve been playing for about 5-6 years now
Cell seems very excited to be in Fortnite. Poor Goku Black tho, he just wants to play with this squad, but his squad quit.

Hard Facts.
I picked Spiderman over overrated, boring a$$ Renegade raider any day.
They are fun though then can be annoying at times, in the sense that the sheer amount can overwhelm you. But my main skins are collabs as they can be some of the best looking ones by far
I just wish they added weapons that werent so over powered like the movement this season is so op people run for 5 min with a grapple blade and turtle stick
My least favorite collab is somehow for my favorite superhero Superman, they didn't give him no powers, no abilities, no importance in the story, unlike Batman which also has 4+ skins, it just feels like .they used him to fill the Battle pass.
One of reason i think people hate on it is things like the Kameyamama the mythics that are also SO FUN

I just miss the times where we used to get cool and original skins like Raven. It’s cool to see crossovers but it feels like they prioritize that over having original skins outside of battle pass stuff.
I don’t hate the collabs, I hate when they fill most of the item shop with it and change only 2 or 3 skins.
I’m still not the biggest fan of so many collabs, but I see why people can like them but I still wish we at least got the return of proper tier 100 skins and secret skins I’m sure most people would be more than willing to buy Peter griffin of Solid Snake while making more room for more original skins that are important to the lore or even just be a cool idea but at least have it be a secret we can continuously guess at before it’s release
The Collabs I want in the game is hitman, shadow of war the main character,pink panther classic character.
Best part of the game, the only thing thats not good is collabs being locked in passes. They should be available for all players.

I mean, I got into Fortnite BECAUSE of the collabs, I gotten every single collab skin I could get, even ones that I never heard of or not interested in watching/watching/reading,
Hell, I even made an ultimate groupshot image of EVERY collab character that I own, and it’s still going.
How many do you have? I’ve got about five DC skins, five gaming legends skins ( six when snake gets released ), three icons, somewhere between 25-30 marvel skins, 15-20 Star Wars skins, and several other collab skins without a special rarity, like Terminator, Snake Eyes, Indiana Jones and I’m going to buy frieza in a few days.

We dislike them because majority of them are being locked behind battle passes and we dislike them because they are ruining the storyline and originality+ the gameplay should be promoted in an LTM. People will see that Rick from Rick and Morty is in the game but when they login they’ll find out that they can never play as Rick because Rick will never come back.
People dislike collabs untill untill it's their favourite franchise that gets puts in game. That's why people love Peter Griffin but will hate on the anime collabs
Collabs only suck when majority of them are Marvel & DC. These recent collabs are so good tho.

I like the collabs but when its every corner I'm not a fan of it. The mtythics and bosses are so neat but I cant seem to like collabs in battlepasses all the time. I miss all the sick original skins but now its just collabs and it feels underwhelming. Item shop skins are fine for events and stuff but the amount of secret skins i miss is otherworldly

Collabs are just stale to me it's nothing new or fresh its just another cosmetic rarley do the collabs do something acutally meaningful like with the dragon ball collab or deadpool collab.I can take it or leave it at this point

I just really hate that collabs are tied to the battle pass. #1 It locks people out of getting them forever. #2 I genuinely think that epics orginal ideas are fire and want to see them make insane skins!

I like collabs but let's be honest, locking a collab behind a battlepass should not be a thing. Players should be able to buy the skin 1 year later or something like that...

I love the collabs aspect of Fortnite. I don't alway have interest in every collabs but that's ok. Not every collabs has to be for ME.
Take the anime collabs, I'm not very interested in anime, so those collabs don't interest me much. But that's ok because lots of people love them.
TMNT is one of the few collabs I dropped vbucks on. First it's from my childhood and connects with me, and second, the skins backblings and pick axes look fantastic, they did a great job on them.
