  • OUR FAVORITE DOG PARK IN BEND| Bend, Oregon - every week, we're taking you on a dog-friendly adventure in a beautiful Dogtown we’ve been exploring.
If you tuned in last week, you know we went to Crater Lake National Park, and Alaska didn't love it. There were barely any dog-friendly trails and Alaska was sick of driving. If you watched two videos ago, you know we've fallen love with Bend. So on our last day in Bend, we had to go to Alaska's favorite dog park so she got some good exercise in before a HUGE travel day (20 hours to Albuquerque)
This was filmed two days before the fires started. Some of the places in this video are completely leveled. People have lost homes, and have had to flee with their animals. Wild forest animals have been displaced. The smoke has made this area unsafe and hazardous. The devastation and destruction these fires have caused in Central Oregon is gut-wrenching. It's frightening that these beautiful places can be taken away from us in an instant. It's a good reason to exercise your right to vote in November - so we can have lawmakers who care about the environment in office. It's now more important than ever.

    Who are we?
We are Tom, Ely and Alaska, and we live for our rescue dog. We brought Alaska (she was actually named that at the Australian shelter!) over from Australia to explore dog-friendly spaces in the USA. We are currently on a mission to explore all the dog-friendly National Park Units so that you can take your best friend too. We've noticed that the dog-friendly NPS language online is vague and sometimes incorrect, so we want to explore these spaces ourselves to see how dog-friendly they really are. Join us for this ride of a lifetime: living each day for our dog.
