"First female victory on the world stage in a solo class" ? I don't think so, no. That feat was accomplished 40 years ago by Gerrie van Rooyen when she won the 1982 24 Hours of Imola, then a round of the World Endurance Championship.

Help me understand something. At the end of the race it appeared the leader slowed down relative to the bikes on either side of him. Was that all draft? I've never seen such a dramatic difference in speed at the finish line. It was like he ran out of gas or something.

She currently sits in 29th place in Moto2 and looking at her career stts shes often way down the championship order. Hardly going anywhere and obviously neither she nor any woman ever could handle a Moto2 or God forbid a Motogp bike. Ways too heavy and need to be too strong for that. But hats off on her for getting an odd win here and there.

She broke her back in 2020. An injury like that ends your career, so the fact she's still riding is amazing.
