Watched him from 2003 until he retired.
His greatest moment, in my opinion, was moving from Honda to Yamaha and winning back to back.
    What a legend.

Valentino single handedly put motogp on the map and that's a fact. The sport would have never gained the popularity that it has today if it wasn't for his eccentric personality, intense rivalries and insane celebrations (apart from his pure speed of course). Someone someday (maybe marquez) could break his records, but the fact is people don't adore Vale for just his records, they adore him because he made it fun, he made it a show, he made it entertainment of the highest quality. It's not the same without him. He will be missed. Grazie Vale.

@@andreaiachini7517 yes I remember it. And if you look more closely you will see that Stoner blocked the inside line in the last lap on the last corner by leaning towards the corner much earlier than usual. Because he knew that Rossi could make a move in the last corner just like he did two laps before and made it stick. So stoner worked smartly otherwise we might have seen the move of 2009 in 2007 😍 And I think Lorenzo was unaware of this move of 2007 somehow, that's why he didn’t block the inside line and Rossi himself didn’t make the move up untill last corner on the last lap in 2009 thinking about what he had done against stoner in 2007

  • @kresnokenoz

Throughout his career, i think Rossi is more or less as aggressive as Marquez on the track, but much cleaner. His cornering looks so stable in spite of how late he brakes (he is one of the greatest demons on the brake). His overtakes also look so beautiful, particularly his knee movement when he overtook Lorenzo in Catalunya 2009.

    • @ibnuabas2174
      @ibnuabas2174 2 роки тому +5

his ride was probably cleaner because he had literally a MotoGP GOAT bike (RC211V) and the smoothest bike (Yamaha). but his overtaking was anything but. those maneuver against Stoner in 08 and Lorenzo in 09 was not clean at all and borderline too aggressive.

@@ibnuabas2174 Well, i do agree that his corkscrew 08 move was very aggressive of him; but he rides that aggressively only once in several years. Generally he was very clean. For me it just very tight battle with very narrow space for Vale to entry to overtake which is successful without any direct contact with Lorenzo at all.

"In the world of motorsports, hundreds of riders will come and go.
Many don't get to the top, not because they are any different than the others
but because there was a few among them who had that little bit extra,
    "something special" some say.
Pure talent, hard work, unrivaled charisma, sheer will to win, whatever it is.
All the riders have it, but there's always one who stands out from the rest,
very few go on to become legends, who leads decades of fans behind their back,
win numerous grand prix's and of course become multiple World champion.
Everyone from every decade has their hero and rightly so,
as they are all the very best in what they do.
But in the generations to come, there will be a name that won't be locked away
silent in the vault of the hall of fame, but a name that will buzz around the
paddock for many years to come, will drift within the fastest of corners,
roar in the cheers of millions all over the world and ultimately fly high in a
never fading cloud of yellow smoke and when that kid asks what it is,
I'm sure his father will say that he is the greatest motorcycle rider ever to
grace this earth, His personality infected all those who followed him,
He was the king of kings, faster than the fastest, none were like him,

Жаль наших нету в этих мероприятиях, когда уже или своё создадим или присоединимся к таким увлекательным гонкам. Это же так здорово, какая техника классная, не мотоциклы а шедевры просто и пилоты мастера, смотреть приятно.

There were before him and there will be after him... incredible drivers... but there will never again be such a genius as Rossi! Simply, a set of such virtues in one driver is seemingly impossible to collect!
    Plain and simple...genius!

Rossi v Lorenzo, the greatest final lap battle I have ever seen, equaled only by Rainey v Swantz. If time travel were possible put the four in a race & you wouldn`t want to blink. Am 70, so trust me have seen some epic battles. You can not really count Giacomo, as he raced multiple sizes on the same day & held multiple championships at the same time. The nearest would be Freddie Spencer Holding 250cc & 500cc Championships in the same year.

In his best years 2001-2009 i was a teenager, but now as an adult i get a lot of thins clearer: what a demon to have as a rivel he must’ve been. In so mani races he played evil games with all of them, i understand it so much better why a lot of riders got crazy. He always had an anser in battle on track to think that only 6 of them won the title in battle with him and for most when he whas older. But he’ll never be replaced. There is no other like him, with the same charisma, badboy behavior, his ridingstyle, finalcorner inpossible overtakes that shouldn’t be possible which he made possible. The GOAT the doctor the master!
