That means: Speaking "ex cathedra" is part of the modern world. You can say: it was some kind of "modernism". Of course, pope Pius IX-XII thought, they were fighting AGAINST modernism, but funny fact: they were not... Papal infallibility was not the solution, it was part of the problem. In fact all the self declared fight against modernism was some kind of attack on the tradition (i.e. a war against the church).

As far as I know there have been only 2 ex cathedra infallible pronouncements - this one and the Immaculate Conception. Neither can be objectively verified.
That’s not true they are the only two ex cathedra infallible pronouncements since the definition of people infallibility. An example of an infallible ex cathedra pronouncement is the council of Florence with Pope Eugene IV in Cantante domino.
