Chaos, Secret Garden, Bronaugh & Shady Groves | Red River Gorge Climbing

- Hello everyone and welcome back to court climbs! After our recent move to Pittsburgh, we took a trip to the Red with Anna, Garret, Cat & Tyler for the weekend. We climbed in Miller Fork and PMRP. It was hot & humid but we had a lot of fun and climbed at four different crags. I am not gonna lie, I'm really looking forward to fall weather for some good send temps, but I'm just happy that the Red is still in driving distance, although we're a lot closer to the New now, as well as a whole slew of local crags around the Pittsburgh area. Lots of adventure to come!
Riddles: What is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the rich want it, the poor have it, and if you eat it you’ll die?

A trip to the red is never complete without a rescue mission 🤣. Keep up the awesome videos 🙌
Agreed! Thank you very much 💛
Shady Grove is off the hook!
Stunning. Thanks for the vid Court
It IS OFF THE HOOK! Thank YOU very much for watching 💛🤘
Welcome to the Burgh (Pittsburgh) Courtney!
Thank you!!!
I like the inclusion of the really cool plant that lacks chlorophyll in the intro.
It was SO COOL! I’d love to know what it’s actually called but I just called it the “fairy plant” because it was mostly like this off white purplish color
@@courtclimbs I am not educated in plants and do not know. Best guess is 'indian pipe', or Monotropa uniflora...which apparently is reliant on a fungi instead of the sun for nutrition? refer to others who know more.
Thanks again for your story. I can't wait for a other one. Bye
Aw thanks so much 💛
The red continues to impress with just how stunning it’s features are, and your crew ain’t too bad either 😉
We’re decent at best 🤣
❤️ Where’d you get the beautiful music at the start? Shazam didn’t identify it. Was it Secret Garden?

I don't see it credited in the Soundcloud link, but the Violin bit is the solo from Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, it comes back a few times but you can first hear it at about 40 seconds in here ua-cam.com/video/MpZ7jLpA5yg/v-deo.html
Thanks for your videos they are really helpful. We are planning to go to red river for first time in early May. Maybe will be got rainy days. If so, what areas or routes do you recommend to us. We are climbing 10s solid and projecting 11´s
Thanks in advance
Hi! I’m so excited you are going for your first time, you’re gonna have so much fun! Your best bet is to look for overhung stuff. Some crags that come to mind off the top of my head are Bruise Brothers, Sunnyside, Military Wall, Chocolate Factory, Chaos. Those are all crags we’ve found 10s and lower at when it’s been raining, but if it’s raining really hard they could be wet too. If you have a 4wd vehicle, there are probably quite a few overhung 10s & 11s in PMRP & Miller Fork.
Just wondering, have you ever been to bruise brothers in the red. I really like it there and maybe you've gone. If you haven't, I really recommend it.
I have! I love bruise brothers!
@@courtclimbs nice!
The squid is without the a doubt the most poorly engineered stick clip in existence.
Hahahahahaha I have to agree with this but Jed loves it so we continue to use it 😂
You were at secret garden and didn't climb little wing! I was excited because I just climbed it the other day and wanted to see your guys' take on it
I have climbed Little Wing and loved it in the past, it was on a day where I wasn’t filming, sometimes I like to put the camera away and vibe, but yes GREAT route!!!
Also: I have used the lifeguard for several years now. I like it very much. Similar protection as a Grigri, but smaller and lighter than most of those I’ve seen. Easier to use in my opinion. I was less expensive as well last i looked
Update: latest versions of lifeguard don't work well. Some change in manufacturing. They look the same. Recently switched to Trango Vergo and love it
Answer to the riddle is "nothing".
Heyo there we go haha 😂
