Hey Pete, awesome hands on use overview. Two questions: First, for the types of content you shot here; sports, portraits kids...what lens choices would be best in the Fuji world? I've been thinking about a zoom lens for sports for a while and thought the 50-140 with the 1.4 x was the ticket. But, sometimes I wonder if that is enough reach or not. Secondly, what was shooting the video when you were standing at the desk behind the mic talking? Really loved the way that looked. Nice separation and IQ. Take care, have a great week.
Thanks, Charlie! I think the50-140 is probably the best all around for the subjects you mentioned if you don't mind the larger size. I tried the teleconverter and didn't like the results, so it will be limited for sports when you can't be very close. If you have a 40mp camera you can also use the digital tele in the camera which I think is better than the teleconverter.
I filmed this vid on a Canon R5 & EF 50mm lens. Glad you enjoyed!
Pete, which do you think is the best performing telephoto lens for the Fuji X-T5 for wildlife photography?
I haven't tried the super telephoto Fuji lenses so I can't comment on those, but the Tamron 100-500 is very good. In general I like the Sigma lenses a bit more though.

FPS rate is limited (by Sony to protect their own lenses). Not relevant for portrait photography.
