Now understand why you went to France and then had to come back to ship the bike and fly to South America - thought you might have left via the South of France originally, but all makes sense now. Great roads in France and helpful drivers who don’t resent us bikers making progress in traffic. Looking forward to you being reunited with your bike the other side of the world. On a side note, couldn’t agree more with your opening remarks about life generally- I thank my lucky stars every day without fail for having so much that we can all so easily take for granted, from basic health to a roof over my head to a wonderful wife etc. etc…
Thanks very much Richard. Yes, I was super impressed with French drivers! I agree. It all brought how important everything I was taking for granted. The appreciation now stays with me.
greeting from greece ,this fellow rider he ride to greece and back with this 90s super sport,RESPECT....no excuse for riding. I'm looking forward for the next video of your trip, well done and keep up like this.
I thought it was 90s too. The bike was brand new! It was a 90s decal. It looked awesome. Paul was in his 60s and still did track days also. A cool man! Glad to have you following from Greece! 🇬🇷
I will light a candle for you before Mass tomorrow and pray for your healing. Safe travels and have a fantastic adventure. Looking forward to the videos to come. St Christopher ora pro nobis.
Last week I went to the local Kove dealer in Warsaw and took a test ride on the Kove 800x. It's a great machine, congratulations on your choice. I enjoy watching your adventures!🤩👍👍👍
Hey Gary. Seamus here in Kerry. Just knocked across your channel. I'm making my way through your video's as we speak. It'll take me a little while to catch up. Enjoy your trip and stay safe out there. Anything that involves a motorbike, I'm on it. Your story is very interesting to follow. Take care and best of luck. 👃
Another really interesting video, you have a great story unfolding. I had never heard of iowaska, but it sounds like it has helped you. I feel lucky everyday for my health, my wife, and my dog, everything else is just blah.
Great video again Gary - nice, also hearing Paul's adventure to Greece and bikers sharing their trips- I had to google Ayahuasca - interesting and thanks for highlighting Gratitude - I'm looking forward to the next episode- All the Best - John
Hi John, thanks for the comments. I see you making them in most videos and it is appreciated. Yes, Paul was a very nice man. He is in his 60's and still doing track days. Some man! I am very grateful for this trip and the ayahuasca has reaffirmed gratitude for so many more things.
Bravo mate. Came across your channel this morning and hooked. Binged watched all the episodes :) to your latest. Name of the Ayahuasca retreat! Best of luck on the journey.
I,v wanted to try ayahuasca...might take a trip to France in the new year on my 800x...should have new ecu from uncle wants this week...Will let you no how it feels...safe riding
Another good video Gary, most continental drivers are very motorbike aware and always leave you room, some public carparks have designated parking spaces for bikes which are usually free.Always good to meet a fellow biker for a chat even when you,re soaking..Now I,m just after having my breakfast and I going for spin on my bike while weather is good (13 degrees)..
Is it normal for French drivers to leave all that room so different to UK where some activity close the gap. How long and difficult was it to sort all the paperwork for a trip like that.
I had to sort things like international driving license. Motofreight gave me step by step everything els show to sort from all documents to insurance. I was talking with them for a couple of months.
Hi, can you tell me where you aifreighted to and the cost, here in Germany someone recently paid circa €1700 to container ship his bike (shared container) to Chillie, with a shipping time of circa 6 weeks. 🤔
It was by airplane. It was just over 2,195 GBP. Plus import costs of around another 600/700 euro. Going by sea is no cheaper because of import costs and takes 6 weeks. Costs of motorbikes in Argentina are massive so it still works out cheaper this way than buying a motorbike in Argentina.
Bienvenido a América Latina Señor Gary!! Let me know when you arrive to Mexico City to take you Tacos and Chelas. Safe trip and be careful at Central America.
Hi Alan, I will use a passage from the website of the healing centre I first took it as it will explain it better than what I can: It is becoming apparent in this day and age that much of humanity has become disillusioned by the present paradigm in which we are living. Many of us have become disconnected from our mother earth and have allowed ourselves to become disempowered by letting our values shift to the material domain. We are now experiencing unavoidable challenges that are directly attributed to our unbalanced and unsustainable ways of living. Many people are becoming aware of a great shift in consciousness that is taking place all over the world. Along with this shift we are becoming aware of our opportunity to self heal and create a new and beautiful world paradigm that we can live harmoniously in union with. Ayahuasca, an exquisite gift of the plant world, is now widely availing herself at this critical time of transformation and rapid evolution. Ayahuasca is a plant spirit medicine from the Amazon region of South America that has been serving people who genuinely seek it out for its healing properties. This plant spirit medicine has been used since time immemorial according to the Amazonian tribes and is currently attracting people from around the world for its life transforming abilities. Plant teachers are playing a vital role in the health of the individual and community as well as serving our spiritual experiences and evolving consciousness. Ayahuasca is made of two Amazonian plants, the Ayahuasca vine and traditionally the Chacruna leaves. In some areas the Chaliponga leaves are used. This sacred medicine is traditionally known by it’s Quechua name, Ayahuasca, which translates to; “Vine of the Soul” or “Vine of the Dead”. In Shipibo, Ayahuasca is known as Oni which signifies wisdom. Throughout the Amazon region, Ayahuasca goes by several dozen other names such as Daime, Yage, Caapi, ect. Ayahuasca is suspected to have been used for centuries, if not millennia. There is little written history on the subject yet there have been several verbal stories passed down through family lineage about the use and origins of this sacred medicine. Traditionally the healers of the villages would use ayahuasca to assist in healing patients of illnesses. To diagnose the root causes of the illness they would often seek assistance by other plant spirits and doctors in their visions and would be shown which plants to prescribe in order for them to heal. Some further examples of the shamanic use of ayahuasca by the village healers was to help settle village disputes, help with hunting tactics, or to help a person attract a partner for love. The Shipibo tribes are from the Ucayali River region. The use of Ayahuasca has been present within their tribes for hundreds of years and their vast knowledge in healing and plants has been an invaluable gift to those that have worked with them. The geometric patterns that you often see in their art are also termed icaros. These icaros in their artwork of painting and embroidery also tell stories. The icaros can be read and are essentially their original language. The Shipibo culture has thrived throughout the past in the practices of fishing, hunting, medicinal plant knowledge and art such as embroidering, painting, wood craftsmanship and ceramics. The Shipibo have always had a deep connection with mother nature yet as there has been more globalization and western ideals moving into these some of these regions, their traditions, language, art and knowledge are slowly being lost. Within our work we focus in preserving their traditions by supporting their arts, traditional practices and aid in the reforestation of the local jungle.
I wonder howmutch you pay to fly the bike ,or is it going over ocean on a schip ? ,curieus how it will go ,i will be looking out for next episode...❤☁️☁️☁️☁️
