This fight is a nightmare for PUGs just because of the amount of mechanics.
Thanks so much for the guide guys! Really helped out =) Would it be possible in future to get the ability descriptions appear on-screen as you're talking again though? I found that significantly easier to follow than just narration.

how the hell am I suppose to remember all this. FUCK
Easy, with just 4 basic rules: (1) Don't stand in non-ground colored stuff > (2) Spread from other raid members > (3) Kill adds > (4) Kill boss. The rest is based on raid position and gear.
This boss isn't even that hard (mechanic wise). There have been far worse bosses, with more mechanics in 1 phase than all of Helya.
It's pretty standard stuff (taunt after ability, kite stuff, kill adds, don't stand in poop).
I know right? It's homework. It's like reading an entire _book_ worth of text out of a yu-gi-oh card.
The only sense of glory people are getting out of this is the fact that you got an A+ from it.
Then you realize other stuff is more rewarding. It's like in minecraft when I set people in my server to dig a big hole, they thought they were doing some big achievement, but on my end? I was just keeping them busy because otherwise they start with the "I'm bored" spam.
I've had more wipes in Guarm because no one stands in his fucking breath and wonder why he's doing triple damage.

any thoughts for the raiders who don't have their second or even ideal legendary? I can't get the pieces I need to drop and can't progress mythics. ive been running mythic plus dungeons but a massive setback was forcing me to play assassination when I picked outlaw to level. the catching up is making me want to quit playing because all I'm doing is butting heads against rng. any advice fatboss???

Could anyone tell me the raid frames that they use? Specifically the druid tank (~ 0:30 seconds in)
Shadowed Unit frames. Takes care of all your frames very cleanly, and it's easy to configure (compared to some addons I've tried). I highly recommend it.

The debuff that need to be disspelled is allways going on 1 dps,1 healer, 1tank

How does he zoom out so far, wasn't that fixed?
They changed it again. You can now zoom out quite a ways, albeit not as much as in the older days.
▪️ Console Command to unlock the new max camera:

▪️ Console Command to revert to the slider default:
/console cameraDistanceMaxFactor 1.9
what does it mean to "soak"?
Some boss mechanics requires player to stay inside of special things. In most cases those "special things" are void-zones or a circle. For example, on Xavius the small adds in phase 2 leave a void-zone behind when they die. Players have to stay inside those in order to remove the void because otherwise another new add would spawn out of it. So, you pretty much "soak" damage or debuffs like a sponge to prevent something bad.

Do you know what you turned down? I feel like i have everything on the lowest yet still puts me on 5-10 fps at most
Drengen10 put your ground (clutter?) (detail?), I forget the actual setting, on the the lowest. there was so much shit going on on a couple of our pulls tonight, that people were actually getting DCed.
Everything is on the lowest, nothing helps. The FPS is dropping down way below 10
if none of that helps man........ have you tried not playing on a toaster?

Please dont say this fight isnt exactly harder, you are mythic geared + have good communication. Odyn + Helya are PUG destroyers. I wipe most of the time on Helya because of p1 slimes while all dps do 350k+ still couldnt get them down and ofc enormous amount of death by collateral orb damage.
Blizzard got mad ppl say EN mythic was too easy -> guilds do mythic, pugs dont (ok, maybe kazzak) -> blizzard makes difficult raid with minium gear requirement 875 (while drop 875) + great need of voice comms -> pugs cant do the raid, guilds still can do it (what was that? Method did mythic in first week) -> good job Blizzard! Way to go, no pesky guild will say your raids are too easy... oh wait.

if you don't have players with immunities.... why? go get them? if you don't have them you are doing something wrong! lol

Don't say that "any composition is fine in this fight.". if you are doing it 10 man style with 2 healers you gonna have major problems with the debuff since even in 10 man it puts 3 debuffs to dispel... Seriously before saying that any comp is fine. actually do it with a different comp other than 25~30 ppl and a bunch of healers...
10 man is a very bad idea since ever since flex raiding came out it has always been extremely poorly balanced for 10 people. which is why typically raids are usually 15 people or more, 2 tanks 4 healers rest dps.
