Looks amazing, much better than the other 2. Can you fall off the fight platform (I know you can fall off the raised sections, I mean can you like walk into her hitbox and be fine) or are there invisible walls like in the 5 man?

Looks like a "hel" of a fight
I love how they incorporate the stairs as part of the boss mechanic. There doesn't seem to be indicators for the tentacles hitting the floor as shown in the PTR. Also, the slimes appear in a line where the breath was; so if the tank is placed on the far right side then you can have slimes spawning on top of the stairs; try to avoid this.
Are your logs public at all? Particularly interested in Loz's healing and talents used. Looking to improve.
It's almost like blizzard doesn't want melee players to participate in raids. Especially fury warriors. Geez.
And fun fact is, all 3 classes they added which is dk, monk and dh are melee. ranged pls? Like literally every guild looks for ranged because its better to have some ranged then melee anyway and at least 65% of dpses are melee now. So hard to get in guild as one. At least im doing pretty much only orange logs on my rogue so i get to raid mythic.

Kloude Aiden Yeah mine too. We're recruiting range and rdruid, that's it, if we'd want to get a melee, we can have plenty, especially dh.
Maybe you're orange in log rankings because only bads play melee anymore since raids cater to ranged dps? lololol... try being more humble mate.
PriestKikyo Point 1) Try reading. I said only reason i get to raid now is because i'm orange logger. Otherwise i'd be screwed. That's how bad situation for melee is right now. That was to strenghten my point.
2) I am not only not humble but arrogant. And i'm proud of it. I'm not arrogand and self-confident based on my logs. I mean my life as a whole. If i'm succesful with what im doing (and no im not from rich family, i dont have daddy that brought everything for me, hell i dont even have one at all), why should i be humble about it? Why lie to yourself? I am who i am and i have rights to be proud of it.
Can you tell me 1 reason besides your feeling that i dont give a flying fuck about honestly to not be?
3) If you look at assa rogues, they are only spec besides arms warrior that is COMPARABLE to spriests SOMETIMES. So fact that i log orange on rogue is actually not based on fact that bads play melee. If you believe that assa is easy on top level (yeah i get it, its easy to do basic dmg, but its really hard to get that last few % and its done in a ways that most of players dont even think about) i would really look forward to have a chat with you to prove that you're wrong. Really really wrong. It took me literally days of math, hundreads of pages, dozens of topics and guides, and still a lot of creative thinking, trying, failing and testing to get where i am.
Is there any more Lore to Helya's deal with Sylvanas or are we just killing Helya never to visit that story ever again? I would definitely NOT want to kill a "devil" with whom our Warchief had made a deal before I learn of what said deal entailed.
I too was hoping for more lore on it. I sure hope blizzard doesnt decide to just forget about that interesting scene.

Haha Blizzard will never hear the end of this. At least this time they did admit they made a mistake.
They've admitted before, though, Madness of Deathwing for instance, and that was even tuned a lot better than Xavius.
He was a final raid boss but not a final tier boss so i forgive them a bit for that.
NonsensicalMan Well that's not an excuse in my opinion. Compare Xavius to let's say Impregnator from HM who was not final tier boss either and was way more difficult.

the problem with the live version is the adds spawn a bit too fast. the dps requirement is a bit high too for a normal. Odyn and guarm felt about right for normal.

in live the debuff go on: tank, healer and a dps. So we assigned the 3 healers for each off em.

I am actually horified seeing this. I bet Blizz will nerf our cleave but at the same time wont revert the AS nerf, and we will be stuck with pure dps spec with shitty single + aoe

This raid is so overtuned on live right now. went from full clearing EN Heroic to only getting 2 bosses down on normal. higher difficulty for less reward.

Glad to know that our guild (1/7Mythic EN) wasn't the only one who struggled on gettting Normal Helya down last night.
Its not the fact that im complaining that a new raid is actually hard (Which when done right is a good thing). its the fact that its so hard and poorly tuned that you could do heroic EN for MUCH less stress and effort and get much better rewards. The gear should match the difficulty and at this moment i dont think ToV fits quite well
I'm in a 4/7 mythic guild, and we had about 10attempts on Odyn HC before we got him down. It's quite hard raid tbh, guarm was super easy tho, we just scaled down abit to maximize our dps, and the 4minute berserk is just bs. Helja we haven't tried tho, but that just seems to be alot of mechanics that need fine tuning.

AwarthSGN oh yeah! Guilds always try and race to world first when new raids come out.. be looking out for it indeed! Hopefully, it takes them a while longer to get these bosses down
given its a 3 boss tier, and 2 of them are rehashes of stuff we have seen before, normal should take no more than 2 or 3 hours id say with heroic/mythic taking another 6 to 7 each
Well, the fatboss lads said that mythic xavius was dogshit before even doing the fight, and when they're now saying that even heroic helya is difficult, then yeah, mythic helya will be terrifying, can't fucking wait :D

After seeing first previews and the dungeon journal for Helya I was so pumped for the Mythic version. Looks like it could be a great fight with proper tuning. It's still only a 3 boss tier though, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
I would suggest to treat Trial of valor as part of the first mini tier along with EN, I like it when I look at it like that ^^

since ptr is based around copying your own toon, they had around 880+ on average

Yes, you copy your character from live servers to PTR, so their ilvl was most likely the exact same as you can see on their armory.
Am i the only one who misses the Vanilla-TBC bosses where most of them had just a couple of mechanics? I used to wait anxiously for the raid to start, now i'm always thinking "How much till the raid ends?"...

Filip Stolín Nop. Don't have the time for that, nor the patience anymore tbh. Heroic is enough for me, especially with the moronic loot system that makes normal drop loot possibly be as good as mythic. I'm doing ok for my spec, with an average perf of 84/95 best perf. on warcraftlogs for HC EN.

People who say WoW was harder before don't understand context. Boss fights are so much more complex these days.
im sure you are the one not understanding the context. the raids back then were overtuned by todays standards. imagine going into EN and you cant down a single boss for weeks until you have grinded enough gear. now are the raids today more fun? hell yes. who the hell wants to wipe 500 times on a boss before every single person gets that magic dps number?

ye mechanics are more sophisticated but getting gear now is almost way to easy tbh :D
I played in Vanilla and TBC and let me tell you, your average heroic boss today would be considered completely OP by the raiders of the day up until sunwell, which I will still defend

SC2Prototype I mean most any fight unless they make ranged 100% unusable in it, will always seem anti melee. Ranged just make fight design cooler.

Encounter seems cool, but the effects used are ugly as hell. Hopefully they've changed since then.
Am I the only one who thinks most new bosses are so unoriginal and boring? I remember like Lady Vashj in TBC you had mechanics you've never seen before. Now it's all more damage, more HP, move from aoe and dps priorities on every single boss.
holy shit dude...from lady vashj to legion,there's 5 expansions in the between, while in LV, u only had classic where the mechanics were dogshit and karazhan which was fun but nothing special. Through all this time we've seen plenty of shit regarding raid fights....

Ninami Man Lady Vashj was one hell of a fight, you had to make a fairly complex macro to toss the tainted cores around and make sure you were positioned correctly to be able to toss them all while dealing with ticking AoE damage that ramped up and some adds! Definitely don't miss that fight lol
Last time i felt like the bosses were interesting was in MOP,ever since every single boss just feels the same like you said

Doing the fight correctly Will get you a kill not you doing 50k extra dps.
Rayleaa Yeah, good luck gettin yourself into a raid that is looking for ranged dps only because melees spend most of the time dancing around and having downtime. It's one thing to move a bit, and another thing to spend 90% of the time away from the boss while not even being able to hit ads because they're spread and far away. Don't play smartass on me.

Agree. After returning to the game the being sent here by guildies, I don't know why anyone finds these helpful. They are useless. So much time is spent on reading or describing the abilities. Why? Everyone can just read them for themselves. If these are intended to be "how to kill" videos, they are terrible. These would be shorter if more time was focused on strategy and what to do.
They make bitesize videos too, but since it was only ptr they didnt make it for that, now that it is live i am guessing that there will come one normal and one bitesize video for each boss within a week :) ( They last around 2 min )
