Not new at all just doesn’t make any sense when the dealership would do the job specially when ur not even buying the car u doing a lease so it’s going back regardless so let them do the work but to each it’s own congratulations never the less tho

3. He could have done the job by himself but he let Yvan Lacroix do it because he is one of is friend.
@@JayJay-uu4nc dealerships can't even wash cars properly, there only job is to sell and service them. Most people who see a freshly washed new car think its detailed as well.

5 months later I love this video. Yall are the dynamic duo and this car is perfection. I would pay 2000 for this then 7 years of protection. I guarantee maintenance on this prosche is more. This is where I'd want to be someday and seeing my customer go wow

@@PanTheOrganizer it’s a 2004.. Torch Red with mod red interior (black and red) it made 360whp stock. Adding headers, hi flow cats, bigger injectors/fuel system and a Paxton Novi 2000 blower netted 605/568 in 2010. I tagged You on Instagram. It’s been on there for ten years! Power is 541/500 now, so it might be a little tired. I love the car and will never sell it! Thanks, Pan.

Hey Pan the 911 looks sweet I wanted to ask if you or Ivan would know, can this new ROAR coating be used with an Infrared Medium or Short Wave curing lamps per panel and if so what would the suggest cure time be for Step1 and Step 2 and what is the suggest temperature for force curing? I just invested in a IR system recently. All the NYC high end shops only use the IR lamps to do coatings. I have had hit or miss results just air curing depending on the paint, time of year and customers upkeep.
No IR needed. 1 to 24 hours between base coat and top coat (hardener) so lots of flexibility. And once hardener is applied, it only needs one hour of curing. That is crazy quick!
IR curing is possible, but very counter productive. The time to set up and move the lamp, plus the risks involved. It looks cool in a promo video, but customers are not paying you for a process, they are paying you for your service and results.
I can only imagine how much Pan wanted to work on his new Porsche. He had to be champing at the bit to do this work himself!

Can’t believe how stoked I was to see Ivan as the guest he’s such a character. Even though he comes up with some methods that might be controversial to some, I just don’t doubt him at all. Not anymore unfortunately. It seems that they are adding a new "luxury tax" in 2022 to vehicles that cost above 100k before HST. It is estimated to be around 10% of the car's price tag, or 20% of the amount of excess over 100k.
I said it before, that this the nicest color car paint I’ve seen, great choice. My car (Honda) is 6 months old. I’m planning on using your tips on my new car. I’ve used the TW graphene products (Compound, Max, and Flex) on my daughters car, it’s great. I will do the same on mine soon. Thanks Again 🙂

Thanks! Yeah I could potentially do a "true cost of ownership" type video for this car, as I know many would be interested. Costs get pretty crazy pretty quick with these types of cars... Winter wheels, insurance, plates, etc.

Great Vid..... I am a Roar installer and have been from the start. The people and support Roar provides are unmatched and unlike any other coating company!!! Not just a marketing or soap company that wants to get into the coating game. A ground-up rethink of what a coating company should be, for detailers, by detailers. Hey Pan!! Car looks amazing. Like you i started washing and detailing my dads truck when I was like 12. Performed my first paint correction when I new nothing about polishing - I learn how to correct paint on a rotary which I didn’t even know anything about. I actually learned how to paint correct watching chemical guy videos and I actually started off with their products. First polishing correction was on a brand new 2011 Infiniti Black G37 coupe. Go figure that all my cars have always been black and I’ve always learned how to maintain properly a black car. Just in the last three years I switched my products over to Adams polishes and now over to CarPro and Gtechniq. I spent about $2200 buying scan grip lights Rups DA Mark3 polisher and all the tools that I need it to convert my garage to a detail bay. My current car Is a black BMW M2 Competition. I performed a full decontamination and polishing correction when I first purchased the car. Like you I did not let the dealer DPI the car. I did however have full PPF installed before it left the dealer expel ultimate PPF. Front end only-
I used CarPro finishing polish and compound using Rupes Wool pads and polishing pads. Follow up I coated the car using CSL/ExoV4 every inch was coated including all of the trim pieces rubber pieces under body of the car all the carbon fiber the wheels inner barrels even the door jams were coated. I have been using CarPro elixir as a topper and I can tell you car pro elixir darkens the vehicle even further to give it a truly 3-D like effect. I’m watching the video and I can tell you that combo there has the exact same water beating effect. so I’m just curious as to what made you pick that coating over some of the more pronounced coatings that have been out here on the market for years- I know Ivan Lacroix is a chemist and if I’m not mistaken he left Opit coat and now has started his own company so I’m assuming this product probably is amazing if he OPTi coat and I think he also invented ONR. But I was just curious as to what your thoughts are on this coating and if this is something worthy at the level of a kamikaze coating which is also high end coating I’m asking all this as if maybe thinking about switching over to this coating. Sorry for long message-

I don’t work for Roar, I am Independent, and do consulting for numerous coating companies. With Pan we chose Roar because of its performance and attributes.

Having been an on-again, off-again detailer since I was 13, I consider you my modern mentor and a friend. I’m now 64 and still nothing thrills me like turning paint around. It really gets under your skin, doesn’t it?
I have been a diehard Porsche lover since 1979, upon getting hired at an exotic car dealership prepping and detailing very rare and prized vehicles. That boss who took me in and also gave me my own detail business just passed away in December 2021, and I was still detailing his cars! The thrill never faded. So I dedicate this video to Arlon Richman, my original mentor: RIP.

And for a detailing freak like me, I'm happy to report they have some of the best paint quality in the automotive world, and also some of the best overall fit & finish and materials quality available. Germans really know how to make high end pieces of engineering! :)

Pan... I would love to know where Ivan gets those cool sponge applicators with the strap backing! They are perfectly functional for this and other types of applications. I checked with Roar, but didn't see it, as well as other car product suppliers. Seems to make application smooth and effortless. ALSO... very interesting to see what you use on your special machine. It just pushes Roar up a few notches, and the thought of applying it to my '95 993 after I get some experience. Thank you for this special show!!! 👍 You have taken me all the way up from Dawn and Shop Rite soap application with one bucket to ceramics like Roar. (Thank goodness I didn't have the 911 then). Incidentally, all the gear needed to get the job done properly along the way have been purchased with your help. Not a business mind you... just personal gratification of seeing a completely clean machine and the pride it instills. Yes, the neighbors are very curious.
The applicator comes with the coating.

@BR-P-2001 // I started with a S2000 to learn which is pretty common here in the states. Most recently I was driving a track focused NA Camaro. Just sold it, now im looking for the next project. Looking at GT350R and 14-15 Z28's right now. Leaning towards the GT350R just researching the engine issues with Gen1 Voodoo blocks. Prolly go Gen2 to be safe regardless. I'd go Porsche route but its a bit out of my cash reach 😆 .. one day!

$500 for a bottle of ceramic coating - professional detailers out there - good luck “building up your business “
This is a $230k car. Any high end detailer will charge about $3k and above to do paint correction and ceramic covering. You can see in the video the hood still has not been buffed to a glass finish. It looks very nice but not perfect. I don't think $500 is bad as long as this product works.
@@ed389 Yes , for a only couple of detail jobs a year of a high end vehicles , if you get lucky to get them , maybe. But for every day jobs $500 it’s just a waist of money. Most people will not even consider paint correction and ceramic coating at all, maybe a wash but that’s it. And if they do, a $70 option ( Cquarts 3.0) will be more than enough. I do professional detailing and 90% of people I talk to could care less about the look of their cars , never the less spending $3000 on a detail job. Most of them haven’t even heard of ceramic coatings at all. Anyway, this Roar coating claims it last 7+ years or a lifetime if maintained properly. Well , unless the vehicle stays in the garage 90% of the time , that doesn’t matter , as if used on regular bases , it will still needs a paint correction in 4-5 years due to rock chips etc. So even if the coating is still good , but you need to do paint correction, you will have to polish it off and recoat. So why spending $500 instead $70 or $100 ? Makes no sense to me.

I fully agree. It’s the best car I have ever owned. Best winter car too! I drive it year round.
We measured a 0-60mph in 2.3s and a quarter mile of 10.1@138 mph it’s absolutely nuts.
Build quality is top and fit and finish is beyond reproach.
Too rich for my blood 😄 But living in the Las Vegas Valley, sun protection is #1. Any personal recommendations for 1) low budget, 2) no garage, 3) time time time... Car looks amazing!! That hydrophobic level was even more than I was imagining!!
