ex starlight funk owner here!, starlight funk wasnt really a "clone" it was more of a unofficial revival project where me and a couple good friends took the engine (BEFORE it went open source btw.) and kinda messed around with it at first it was meant to be just some goofy little personal revival but people were super sad yafn was dead, so we decided to go public teasing here and there couple mod introductions and so on, took us a little longer than expected to publicly release (thus alot of other yafn engine using games to come out before us.) but there was stil la decent amount of people that knew about hwat we were doing also the whole "maky" situation was bs and was debunkt to be robo making things sound worse than it was, xono and had and fishi were the biggest help (xono made the map, had and changed how the menu ui looked and added couple little things and fishi made most of the animations, prob more than half of them) game was also meant to stay with no intent of making money, just as a goof project the moony thing i dont really have much info of what happend since i kinda left everything rofnf related due to somthing that happend 💀 tho moony did pull a scummy move and keep the money made from the game and dipped from what im aware lol anyways thats enough yapping,
Hey! One of the Project: Afternight developers here! Console players are still capable of soloing in public servers, due to the mentioned lack of private servers ^^ We're trying to still balance how soloplay goes, as we find it extremely annoying that you couldn't find anyone to fight against before we disabled it in public servers.

Not really 'inaccurate info' but more clarification: BFNFR was made by Mapl and Nero, Was abandoned by Mapl for a while, but he came back and found making a new update for stuff was a bit overwhelming on his own. But after Von was recruited at the very end of 2023, who then recruited Pepsi, most of the updates in 2024 were led by Von and Pepsi. Mapl is still around though and helps with the more complex stuff, such as the new Favorites and the Search function. So Technically, the original devs still work on it, kind of, just from a distance, as they want to also focus on other projects. Anyways, hello, I'm Von!

Btw, about Literally FNF. It actually released a day before funky friday since first time Literally FNF appeared in Toad_85's profile and then it got moved. And Literally FNF is going to have a huge update reworking the whole game adding 24 new mods and skins (but every character has their own voices in almost every song) and every censor in the game will be changed (lemon demon will have the og design and Mommy Mearest won't be a paper anymore). And adding every single missing sprites, mechanics, songs and mid song animations. (neo mod will get custom designs, bobs onslaught will have all of missing songs, tricky phase 3 and phase 4 will appear in the game). the popular mods they are going to add is hex v2, fnf troubleshootin, tails gets trolled, nonsense v2, online vs, vs rewrite and holiday mod and they are going to have even more official soundtrack.

However, my point is that an engine does not determine the quality of a game. And that engines are just tools to help do the things you want. But engines should not be seen as a limitation of a game. 😭dawg it literally is a yafn clone cause it just usually changes the map yafn already had song events and custmo notes which if you add yourself your basically just adding to the vanilla engine not changing much embrace it rather than deny it (unless you heavly edit the engine function, its a yafn clone like it or not)
